Ahoy there! I’m Aveza. I’m just your average aspiring writer who wastes a good deal of her days writing hopeless fanfiction. But, the good thing about it is that I don’t mind wasting my days in such a way. I don’t mind it one bit.

Anywho, I am a twenty-something female, an incurable daydreamer, and a tea and chocolate fanatic. Though, as a warning, you’ll just find a lot of literature and tea, with the occasional sprinkling of various fandoms I follow—and Tom Hiddleston. XD

At present, I write mainly Digimon fanfiction, though I've put my two cents in for the Pirates of the Caribbean and Master and Commander fandoms. (Odd combination, I know, but I have an inexplicable fascination with the age of sail. Go figure). For the sake of my dignity, you are encouraged to ignore any work published/updated prior to 2012. The only reason any of those pathetic buggers are still around is because they somehow miraculously still attract hits? I don't know... Another conundrum of the world, I suppose.

Right. Time to move on to the stories!

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM MY DIGIMON STORIES:

Typically, my stories will:

1. NOT feature Digimon. I know. What a crap fan I am for ignoring them. There will be allusions, but not much else. For that reason, most of my stories will be set in an AU setting.

2. Feature a pretty constant line-up of pairings. Namely: Tai/OC, Sorato, Koumi, Takari, Kenyako and Davis/OC. If you have quibbles with those couplings, beware. Then again, I'm not afraid to switch things up for drama's sake, BUT, usually, in the end, these pairings will hold.

3. Contain moderate adult themes and use of mature language. If you disapprove of raunchy teenage shenanigans or potty-mouths, take heed. I try to always keep language and descriptions, er, tasteful, but just as an FYI.

4. Use a CRAP LOAD of OCs. Yes, I am one of those writers. I like OCs. I must be a special little snowflake, innit? In my defense, I will say that I try to make my OCs balanced characters. I know a lot of OCs (more like, 99%) are instantly branded with the name “MARY SUE,” but I’ve worked very hard to portray my original characters as real, believable, flawed people. I hope you’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.

So... I like reading Digimon fanfic as much as the next nerd, and since I'd rather have you feasting your eyes on works far better worth your time than my own, here're some fics that I have thoroughly enjoyed thus far:

Seeking Resonance by A Hidden Path
This story is AMAZE-BALLS. It follows your core Adventure 01 Digidestined but aged up, battling the demands and romantic drama of adulthood. It also features an OC, but if you are a fan of my stories and have put up with my OCs, then this story is right up your alley. That, and it shares a tenuous universe with the events that take place in my own story, Plus One. So... they are almost like... companions? Dare I say so? XD Anywho, focus is mostly on Koushiro, but the language is divine and the plot intricate and rich. Please, please, PLEASE give this story a read. I cannot recommend it enough.

Four Years by A Hidden Path
It's a great fic that places Tai, Matt, Sora, Mimi, Joe, Izzy and Amy (OC) in an American university and it is HILARIOUS. It’s also marvelously written, with an excellent balance of drama, romance, and humor! The story has a slight preference for Izzy and OC, Amy, but, there is GREAT interaction from the other Digidestined as well. I recommend it for any fan of Izzy/Koushiro who IS NOT hellbent on him being paired with certain people (like Mimi, or… er… Mimi…) Heck. I love Koumi, but this story is just too divine for words!

Insurgence by A Hidden Path
Okay, okay. I ADMIT IT. I am a fan of this author’s stories. She just writes so beautifully, and her take on Izzy is so refreshing. I’ve always been a huge fan of Tai and Matt, but she is gradually converting me into a Koushiro fangirl. ANYWAY… This is an AU, sci-fi fic. So if you like space, and adventures and planet hopping and special powers, THIS FIC IS FOR YOU! It features an OC, so if that is repulsive to you, don’t read it (though, really, give it a chance!). The setting and premise for this story are richly described, so if you’re not afraid to veer into extremely AU territory, this story is worth your attention.

- A Boy and Girl Affair -
Status: Ongoing, incomplete
Genre(s): Romance, Drama, Humor
Rating: T, for language and moderate adult themes
Notable Pairings: Tai/OC, Sorato, Koumi, Takari, Kenyako, and Davis/OC
Notes/Warnings: This will be a COLLECTION OF ‘ONE-SHOTS’ focusing on the high school relationships of the various couples mentioned above. Emphasis, however, will be on Tai and my OC, Hana. Individual story plots will vary. It is an extension of the events that occurred in my other story, The Center of Everything, but reading the previous story isn’t required to understand what’s going on (though you may miss out on a few inside jokes).

- Plus One -
Status: Ongoing, incomplete
Genre(s): Romance, Drama
Rating: T for now for adult language and mild content, but will be bumped up to M later on, for uh... not so mild content (OOH LA LA)
Notable Pairings: Tai/OC, Tai/Catherine, Sorato, Takari, and Koumi
Notes/Warnings: This is a bit of an experiment. It’s just an idea I got that got fleshed out, so if it does well, good for it. If it crashes and burns, oh well. I won’t cry a river. As for a summary, if you can infer anything from the title, you can probably surmise the entire plot. Sort of. And just for clarification purposes, my OC, Hana, will also be in this (obsessed much, Aveza?), though she’ll be slightly different. Geez, you just can’t escape her. I feel sorry for you people. XD

Notable Pairings: Takari, implied Sorato and Tai/OC
Notes/Warnings: This is a 'companion' fic to, Baby Octopus. It is based loosely on the Adventure 02 epilogue, and so Kari is a schoolteacher and T.K. is a writer. And it has literary allusions to fairy tales and T.S. Eliot. It's certainly not as sweet as Baby Octopus, but I do that on purpose. Takari gets a bad rap for being cliched and too happy-go-lucky, so this story has friction.

- The Center of Everything -
Genre(s): Romance, Drama
Rating: T, for language and mild adult themes
Notable Pairings: Tai/OC, Sorato, mild mentions of Takari, Koumi, and Kenyako.
Notes/Warnings: So this is the start of an... um... ongoing story arc? I guess that's what I'll call it. Regardless, consider it an exploratory effort in Tai's love life. Bahaha. Digimon are mentioned, but not involved in the story. OCs are EVERYWHERE. It takes place in a high school AU, and it uses quite a bit of ballet references. How that all comes together, well... You'll just have to read it to find out, eh?

- Curve and Cavil -
Genre(s): Romance, Humor
Rating: M, for language and adult themes.
Notable Pairings: Tai/OC, with mentions of Takari and Sorato
Notes/Warnings: A more mature take on the relationship I've established between Tai and my OC, Hana, from "The Center of Everything." It's silly and stupid, so don't expect much of anything except for good old-fashioned mischief.
