Author has written 23 stories for Thunderbirds.
I am an avid Thunderbirds fan from the East Coast of Australia having watched the original series as a little girl every Saturday morning back in the late 1960's when I was growing up.
I really enjoy writing any TB character who inspires me to tell their story but I guess I should confess straight out that I am primarily an Alan fan. Blond - fast cars - fast living - YES!!! He makes it easy to ignore his really bad wardrobe choices.
Having said that, there is nothing like the smooth voice of Jeff Tracy or those blue eyes of a certain Field Commander to inspire an interesting storyline! I love writing all about the other brothers, too.
I also enjoy reading good TB stories other writers like to share. I do struggle a little with a few concepts (aka Movie verse) - even though I do read and appreciate the work of those who like to write those stories
Personally, I think it would be nice to have a separate section for movie verse again so we could all find our favourites easily.
However, let me get back to what matters most to me - not the verse of the genre - but the writing! I just love it!
Whilst I believe that respectful critique helps all of us to improve, I am definitely not into flaming the work of anyone, no matter in what universe they write. I have a fantastic beta who drives me hard (take a bow Jaimi -Sam) but I still I like to receive feedback from others to help me improve. Feel free to PM me with any constructive suggestions.
However, rude guest reviews will be reported for investigation and deleted!
I do think, though, that whatever verse we prefer to write in. it is important to take the time to follow some very basic writing principles. We need to develop our characters, make sure the spelling is right, and in my case, check that the commas, the capitals and italics are in the right place.
My view of the world? When the passion to write hits you ... grab it...live it...love it...do it.
and then ... share it with the rest of the world just because you can!
I welcome your feedback on my work.
