Author has written 2 stories for Merlin, and Vampire Diaries.
I'm a 19 year old male who is currently majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Classics; not your typical writer I guess. I love political intrigue mixed with military strategies and tactics. I hate stupid characters in general, though silly characters can be fine as long as they're just supporting characters. Romance is great as long as it helps with character development and leads to conflict. I dislike 'happy' endings unless all the main characters in a story have sacrificed almost everything to get said ending (in which case it becomes a great ending). Oh and I constantly root for the so called 'villians'; they're so misunderstood most of the time.
The Silmarillion, Lord of the Rings, A Song of Fire and Ice, The Halfblood Chronicles (series), Saga of the Seven Suns (series), Legends of Dune (series), Mistborn Trilogy (Series), Chronicles of the Black Company, The Stormlight Archives (Series) (Only one book out at the moment, and that's The Way of Kings).
The Hunger Games Trilogy (except the last book, IMO Katniss should have acted like a ruler and took the crown/position as president for herself! I still can't figure out why the hell she didn't do it. And, yes, I know my opinion is biased.)
Lord of the Rings (Except the scene where Sauron was defeated; all those schemes, all the plots, all that flawless logic and he was defeated by something that was utterly stupid that it never occured to him. It was kinda heartbreaking for him :P)
X-men: First Class
V for Vendetta
Favourite T.V Shows:
Game of Thrones
Katie McGrath, Kiera Knightly, Natalie Portman, and Nina Dobrev.
Michael Fassbender, Christopher Lee, Tom Hiddleston, and Ian Somerhalder.
Female: Katerina Petrova (Vampire Diaries) and Morgana Pendragon (Merlin). (Come on, the world needs more 'bad' girls! Oh and 'bad' is such a subjective term; I prefer to call them ambitious, strong willed, and intelligent.)
Male: Erik Lehnsherr (X-men: First Class), Loki (Thor), Saruman/Curunir (Lord of the Rings), Damon Salvatore (Vampire Diaries). (Trying to think of a traditional hero I like... mind is a blank! Wait, does Odysseus count?)
Mechwarrior series. Lore, political intrigue behind the scenes (though the later novels in the universe were pretty terrible) and great simulation gameplay. Glad it's finally being revived after ten years of hiatus.
Freespace 1 and Freespace 2. Best Space Opera games of all time; not many people have heard of it, but it's awesome. The story is deep and gritty, and the gameplay blows every modern game out of the water. Volition, make a Freespace 3 already! That cliffie at the end of Freespace 2 has been there for around thirteen years now.
Halo: CE, Halo 2 (Come on, you hardly ever get a game series with gameplay that flows as well as these two and have such a great backstory at the same time.)
Mass Effect series (Deus Ex Machina ending aside; they should just have had the Reapers win instead of that stupid plot device they dumped in.)
Two Steps from Hell (Not really a band but oh well)
Favourite Historical Battles:
Seige of Tyre - January to July 332 BCE, victors commanded by Alexander the Great
The Battle of Gaugamela - 331 BCE, victors commanded by Alexander the Great
The Battle of Cannae - August 2, 216 BCE, victors commanded by Hannibal
The Battle of France - 10 May - 25 June 1940, victors commanded by various German commanders.
