Poll: Okay, here's the thing: I'm stuck. Who should be the uke and who should be the seme in Breaking the Ice? I like it either way, so it's really hard for me to decide. (For those of you who are unfamiliar with these terms, "uke" refers to the girl in the relationship while "seme" refers to the boy. Sorry, but I didn't know of any other way to word this question.) Name: George Washington. Nah, I'm just kidding. I'll let you know my middle name. It's Alana. I forbid to tell you my first name because I absolutely despise it.
Gender: Oh, crap. Did my middle name give it away?
Age: If you can solve this complex math equation, that's how old I am: P = x/5(2r - 76y) - (51/3d) Heh heh. Just kidding. I was born in 1993. (Don't you hate it when old people do that to you? Not to say that I'm old, of course.)
Birthday: Someday in March. (I have to keep it interesting, you know?)
Sign: Pisces. (Technically, I'm an Aries, but... Ahem. I was born on a cusp, and my moon is in Pisces, and... Yadda, yadda, yadda...)
Welcome. I'm Amorous-Thunder, but if you're really lazy (like me), then you can just call me A.T for abbreviation. You may also refer to me as Awesome, Sexy, Charming, Beautiful, Wonderful, or a variety of the sorts.
So, you want to know a little about me, eh? Sorry to disappoint you, but there's really nothing special to be said. I used to write original fiction, but I no longer pursue that path. I've grown tired of it. I needed something fresh to write, so I started writing fanfiction. Since then, I believe I have matured much more as a writer. I have learned how to better control and limit my imagination thanks to all the wonderful authors I have found on this site. In fact, I first gained interest in writing fanfiction because of one author alone. Needless to say, she has aspired me to become the author I am today (which still isn't saying much, but I'm getting there).
I swear I'm a friendly person (despite my over-the-top sense of humor), so if you want to become friends or whatever, just talk to me.
A few people from the past have been interested in how my creative process works, so I figured I may as well share it with you. I don't do anything special like outline the chapters, although I've done it before. What I do is, I write out the dialogue first, much like a play, and then I fill in the rest. I actually really recommend doing this, especially if you're stumped. It gives you a rough idea of what the chapter is going to look like when you're finished. If you're not happy with the results, simply rewrite the dialogue. Remember, dude, the most important part of a story is the character's actions and dialogue. Without them, a story would be nothing (and you don't just have to take my word on it, either).
When it comes to updating regularly, I...suck. Really bad. I mean, I used to be good at it, but, nope, not anymore. I'm still trying to figure out why that is, to be honest. Nonetheless, I still try, even when reality laughs in my face. Generally, my updates range from two to four weeks in between—and a lot of times, it even goes as far as a month. It's pretty damn pathetic. I also have this really bad habit of starting new stories before I finish old ones, which seriously doesn't help matters much (or honestly not at all). However, if it's any consolation, I do plan my stories ahead of time—in which I mean I have at least a general idea of which direction my stories are going to take before I begin writing them. Sometimes, though, that can be a bad thing, as I also have the tendency of losing interest in my projects halfway through. My mind works like a snowball rolling down a hill—it gets bigger and bigger and bigger until... Bam! It crashes into a tree. If you stop reading my stories, I can certainly see why.
I primarily write yaoi, slash, BL, or whatever you wish to call it. And, honestly, do I really need to justify why? If a guy can get into two girls making out, then certainly a girl like me can get into two guys making out. Make sense? Not only that, but I also find the idea of forbidden love to be much more interesting. I like to explore the psychological reasoning behind falling for someone of the same sex (if that makes any sense). In addition, you may take notice that I like to play around with the thought of unrequited love. That's just as fun. I write about straight pairings, too, but that's more uncommon. For a basic list of what fandoms I write for or what pairings I support, look below. Also, you will never see me write a sequel to any one of my stories, unless I really, really, loved the story and have another great idea for it.
What I write for: Gravitation, Hamtaro, Harvest Moon, Hunter x Hunter, Junjou Romantica, Kirby, Loveless, Ouran High School Host Club, Pandora Hearts, Pokémon, Professor Layton, Rune Factory, Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, Spyro, Super Smash Brothers, The Legend of Zelda, Trigun.
What I ship: Red x male Blue/Green (Pokémon), Rosa/Mei x Curtis (Pokémon), Oz x Gil (Pandora Hearts), Gold/Ethan x Silver (Pokémon), Ritsu x Takano (Sekaiichi Hatsukoi), Black/Touya x N (Pokémon), Kio x Seimei (Loveless), Allen x Neil (Harvest Moon), White/Touko x N (Pokémon), Ash x Misty (Pokémon), Alice x Gil (Pandora Hearts), Hikoru x Kaoru (Ouran High School Host Club), May x Drew (Pokémon), Ritsu x Nagisa (Loveless), Rio/Rachel x Neil (Harvest Moon), Hanbei x Kanbei (Pokémon Conquest), Ruby/Brendan x Steven (Pokémon), Raguna x Cinnamon (Rune Factory), Chase x Gill (Harvest Moon), Oz x Alice (Pandora Hearts), Ash x Cam (Harvest Moon), Ash x Gary (Pokémon), Gill x Luna (Harvest Moon), Ryuichi x Tohma (Gravitation), Break x Sharon (Pandora Hearts), Spyro x Cynder (Spyro the Dragon), Emolga x Virizion (Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity), Heroine x Yukimura (Pokémon Conquest). Yup. I think that about sums it up. There's more, but for the most-part, that's it. Those are just my all-time favorites.
My Review Policy
I, Amorous-Thunder, do solemnly swear to review all fics I read,
Personally, I love any type of review I get, regardless of how short or long. I'm seemingly one of those rare people on this site who appreciate any review thrown at me. I don't know if you've noticed or not, but I've seen some pretty ungrateful people on this site—some who literally go off on a tangent just because one person reviewed and said, "Great story." Now, if that were me, I'd be perfectly fine with it. The point is, you can review my stories any way you see fit and I promise you I won't get upset with it. You could flame, simply tell me you love my story, or even review with something completely unrelated like "bananas." I mean, at least when you review, no matter what the content is, you at least provide me with an additional review so that other readers will be more inclined to check out my story. 'Cause as much as I don't like to admit it, people are naturally attracted to more reviews. That's just the way it is, yo. Of course, I always like it better when you can go into detail as to why you like my story or why you don't. I especially like it if you're an anonymous reviewer because they're typically more truthful in their reviews (or so I believe).
If there's one thing I hate more than plagiarism, it's people who think they're too brilliant to leave a review. In other words, arrogant people. Seriously, don't be one of those people. It makes you look like an asshole. If you really are that great with writing, then shouldn't that be all the more reason why you should review—to provide constructive criticism to those who need it? And even if it's just that you're too shy, lazy, or just do not know what to say, at least remember that something is always better than nothing, and if people cuss you out because of it, then just remember they're unappreciative bastards.
By the way, if you have a story with zero reviews at all, I will gladly go read and review it for you. If it's a multi-chaptered fic, though, I will only review the first chapter—sorry. The only way I'm gonna keep reviewing is if I really like the story. However, I can guarantee that I'll leave some useful constructive criticism if I feel that your story may need some adjustments. It may take me awhile to get back to you, but don't be alarmed, my friend—I will get back to you, I promise.
Random Facts About Me
9/10/13: Are you surprised I changed my profile? Ho ho. Anyway, I plan to revamp my beta-profile, too, because let's face it: that thing lacks some major detail. Sooo...hopefully that'll come soon. Yes, real soon...
9/10/13: If you're a follower of Breaking the Ice, guess what? I'm almost done with the second chapter after nine-million years of my last update. Let us all cheer in joy.
9/10/13: Attention: I am planning on changing my pen-name/username over to Mewsea. Just a fair warning. It'll probably be a month or so before I change it over...so...just to let you people know... Yeah, I'm sure you guys get the idea.
9/20/13: So...I guess Giving All and What's Left to Remember are on an official hiatus now. (Yeah, as if you guys couldn't already tell. Go me.) I hope to get the stories up and running again once I finish Breaking the Ice (whenever the hell that'll be). But fret not, my fellow readers, I do fully intend on finishing all my stories one day, I promise. (Ha ha... That's a laugh...)
9/24/13: Fixed a few grammar mistakes that were really bugging me. D:
9/24/13: I got annoyed with so many facts about me spamming up my profile, so I deleted some of 'em. Feel free to thank me.
10/6/13: Due to the release of Pokémon X and Y, I will not be updating Breaking the Ice any time soon. I thought that maybe I could get the story updated before the games were released, but...I suppose that was too wishful thinking. Regardless, I'm sure nobody cares, as they will be playing the hell out of the games as well. I'm thinking that it'll be at least a month after that I'll finally get around to updating the story again? It might even prove to be the best chapter yet.
02/14/14: Okay, guys, I'm not gonna lie, but my PC has been dead for about a good month now. The other three months were just me being lazy as shit. So, yeah, I am still alive (if it is to anyone's concern). I dunno when I'm gonna start writing again, but I'm just gonna tell you all now: my PC is exceptionally ancient at the moment (because I had to replace my old computer), so... Yeah. There's that. Oh, and by the way, happy Vanlentine's Day! :3
