I have been a huge Harry Potter fan ever since I began to read the books in 4th grade. I had always been a reader, but the fantastic series turned J.K. Rowling into my idol. I was distraught at the end of the story in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, not because I was disappointed, but because I was reluctant, like the millions of other Harry Potter fans, at the idea of the end of the Harry Potter era. I soon found fan fiction, written by fans like myself. Often, I would find stories with bad grammar, poor plots, or would simply twist the world and characters of J.K. Rowling's magical world into something completely unrecognizable. However, I realized not all stories were so; for every awful story I found, there was another amazing story. This caused me to begin my quest: finding all of those exceptional stories. I have enjoyed a variety of entries of all different genres all revolving around Harry Potter. Although, an idea I especially enjoyed in stories were of alternative universes, as long as the 'essence of Harry Potter' remained. After reading many stories, I found myself interested in sharing my own musings of what could have been. For this reason, many of the stories I write shall revolve around such plots. Thus began:
My Favorite Fandoms:
Books: Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and the Olympians/The Heroes of Olympus
TV Shows: Merlin, Sherlock, The Flash
Cartoons: Avatar the Last Airbender/The Legend of Korra
Movies: How to Train Your Dragon, Titanic, Tangled, Star Wars
Anime/Manga: Skip Beat!
So, I have one story so far, Back to the Time of the Unknown. It is about a 25-year old Harry Potter, who is transported back to the year of 1977, by means of a newly discovered time turner. The story circulates around Harry's job as DADA teacher, which he temporarily assumes while Dumbledore works on the mystery of the time turner. Sometime into the year, Harry realizes he ought to take advantage of the situation he was put in, and change the future. He begins his quest for the Horcruxes once more, with the help of Dumbledore.
My next story, Return to the Era of Peace, is the sequel to Back to the Time of the Unknown. Harry has returned to his own time, 2005, after having changed the past in 1977. He explores the new world he has created and realizes things are much different, for better or worse. Harry is now truly on his own as he tries to find a way to undo everything that had gone wrong. Despite this, Harry begins to realize there is more evil at work than he had initially imagined.
I don't like posting 'Author Notes' on the story itself, so I will say here; I love getting reviews with your input, whether positive or negative. Though, if negative, please tell me how I can improve my story. Thanks!
