Author has written 3 stories for Casualty, All Souls Trilogy, and Sherlock.
My name is Miriam and I'm from Germany. I speak fluent and (so I'm told) accent-free English and I love writing. I am currently writing a historical fiction novel but sometimes I get bored and want to write about something else. That's when I write here :) Right now I am 16 and hope to be finished with my book by Spring 2014.
I have a lot of TV shows that I love; House MD, Casualty, Casualty 1900s, Bad Education and Doctor Who and Hollyoaks to name a few although I am really sad that they have stopped showing House. I also love(!) british comedy. Some of my fave shows are Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Mock the Week, Russell Howard's Good News and QI.
I have been watching Casualty for a year now and I have watched season 24 to 27 up till now. My fave characters are Sam, Dylan (I was really sad when he left), Tom and Lenny. I also really like Zoe and Linda :)
House has been my favourite show for 3 years now, I love it and I was really angry when they decided to stop showing it. It has always been an inspiring show for me and it has made me want to become a doctor. I know about 90% of all my medical facts from shows like Casualty and House. I want to be an ER doctor when I'm older, thanks to Casualty.
I have watched Doctor Who since I was 11 and I adore it! One of the best shows ever! My favourite doctor is 11, he is clumsy, funny, caring and kind. What more do you want? :D I have always wanted to be a companion but who wouldnt jump at the chance if it was offered to them? My favourite companions were Amy and Rory and I was very upset when Karen and Arthur left. I dont think anyone will match up to them.
If you have never seen Casualty 1900s, it really is time that you do! It is a spin-off show of Casualty and is set in the London Hospital in Whitechapel in 1906-1909. The events are based on real happenings and the characters on real people, depicted in hospital reports, newspapers of the time and personal memoirs. I highly recommend watching it as you will fall in love with the characters and wish (at least I have but then again I am deeply obsessed with the 19th Century) that you could live then rather than now, despite the dangers of the time. If you are interested, you can watch it on youtube ;)
I also love reading. My favourite books are the Sally Lockhart series and the All Souls trilogy because they really inspired me to write my book and to continue writing it. Philip Pullman is, in my opinion, one of the best authors that have ever walked upon this Earth alongside Shakespeare and Jane Austen and I would give so much to meet him in person. Deborah Harkness is a genius and a fantastic author who has mastered the art of keeping the reader hooked for so long that family or friends have to pry him/her from the book and endure your rants when they do so. I found great joy in their books and really recommend that they be read by more people, especially Philip Pullman's Sally Lockhart series (for those who like the 19th Century as I do, these are the right books to read.) because it is a shame that they dont have more recognition.
Right, I think thats all about me :)
Thanks for reading and reviewing!
