...ain't gonna beg you to stay, ain't gonna ask you what's wrong, ain't no reason running after something already gone. Take off your leaving dress, let's do what we do best, I guess everybody's got their way of moving on. Rest your head one more time in my bed, love me like you loved me when you loved me and you didn't have to try. Let's lay down tonight and kiss tomorrow goodbye...
This is the way the world ends, this is the way the world ends, this is the way the world ends, not with a bang but a whimper
--T. S. Eliot, 'The Hollow Men'
Perhaps you're just different. It's not a sin, you know, though you may have heard otherwise.
--Tam Elbrun to Lt. Cmndr. Data in 'Tin Man' (Star Trek Next Generation, Season 3 Episode 20)
You may find that having is not so pleasing, after all, as wanting. It is not logical, but it is often true.
--Mr. Spock, 'Amok Time' (Star Trek Original Series, Season 2, Episode 1)
Try to understand men. If you understand each other you will be kind to each other. Knowing a man well never leads to hate and almost always leads to love.
-- John Steinbeck
Logic clearly dictates that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. (Or the one.)
--Spock (and Kirk) (Star Trek II 'The Wrath of Khan')
I've met tale-spinners before, and they're all cut form more or less the same cloth. They tell tales because they're afraid of life.
Roland of Gilead to Jake Chambers in Stephen King's The Dark Tower
My penname used to be Ilenya Lestrange, but I changed that, obviously. Country music for the win!
I feel like I should promote someone here 'cause everyone else I know seems to be doing it! So here goes...
CHECK OUT THESE AUTHORS OR DIE: peace and joyce, FireLamp, Farfalla
Peace and joyce is a really, really amazing author. I know I don't review her stories as much as I should but I read them all and they are all of unequaled quality. I'm completely serious. FireLamp's spot there seems fitting, considering... stuff. and Farfalla writes a ton of amazing stuff! So check her out! Love her Spirk writing... it's magical.

If you've ever woken up from a really crazy dream and rushed down stairs to tell everyone you live with how nuts it was, only to have forgotten what it was all about by the time you reach the kitchen table, copy and paste this into your profile.
Pluto was no longer declared a planet on August 27 of 2006 just because it was 'too small' and 'off its orbit' for a couple scientists' likings. If you still think Pluto should be a planet then copy and paste this to your profile. LONG LIVE PLUTO!
The best character ever:

All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost
The old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not touched by the frost
From the ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadow shall spring,
Renewed shall be blade that was broken, and crownless again shall be king

(Blue Bird, even if happiness was right beside me, I’ll fly towards the sky and believe in the future. But I won’t forget you, and I know I can’t go back to yesterday.)
-- 'Aoi Tori' (Imai Asami) from The iDOLM@STER anime, sung by Chihaya Kisaragi
It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something.
-- Sam in The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkein
The Story of Ilenya Lestrange: well, haven't updated in forever. So sorry about that. I hope to continue that at some point.
Trust: Written pretty randomly. But Rue and Katniss were such an awesome duo, and then she died...
Jewel of Rivendell: companion poem to this fic. Borrows heavily from themes in the actual book, like Beren and Luthien. Aragorn and Arwen are super cute!
Green and Gold: After reading the Dark Tower series by Stephen King (and being completely overawed by its brilliance- especially the end) I just had to write something for it. A plot bunny attacked me while reading the book, so... yeah. Poor Jake, though. And poor Roland.
Watching in the Storm: Was I the only one that found Mordred really awesome? Yes? Well, anyways, I had to write something for him.
Five Things Aragorn Does NOT Want For His Birthday: Wow, so many reviews... ehehe, thanks, y'all!
