![]() Author has written 2 stories for Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings. When I was little, I wanted to sit around cafés and type. I write ff so I can follow that dream. Beyond the Curtain I'm probably obliged to say that this is a dystopian story. Though I've never viewed it as such - the story is written from the POV of wizards, and wizards thrive in this story, so there's none of the usual despair or angst in the narrative. Neither it's a muggles-vs-wizards story, as that is a fight with a too clear conclusion for me to ever make a good story out of. This is your ordinary Harry vs Voldemort plot, though I attempted to make Harry Voldemort's true equal. It took him decades to get there, which to me sounds about right. I was also tired of all the teenage drama and the boundaries that the seven years of Hogwarts impose on most of the stories out there. The name refers to the Iron Curtain that once divided Europe in a similar way the magical one does in the story. The story consists of three parts. The first two are now finished. Update 8/2020: Still alive, still thinking about the story, still editing once in a while, but I'm having problems with finding the energy it takes to actually write. It will turn around at some point, I hope. Dreamers - HP/Hobbit/LotR This is a strange writing experience for me. The first 40k words had burst out onto the keyboard in two weeks, as a bit of fun and distraction. Now I'm picking up the jumbled threads and weaving a proper story out of them. I've always known I'd enjoy writing in this setting, though even I'm surprised by how much. The first two arcs (out of 3) have been fully written as of 6/2021, now I'm wading through the edits. |
