Hi there fellow Readers and Writers and Fans ...

I'm the fanfiction author/AMV vidder sharnii, previously known as blackore, Silverna (Buffy/Willow fanfiction), and badbard (Xena/Gabrielle fanfiction). I'm almost tempted to change my username again ... but how many usernames can one human have? Haha! So I'm just sticking with sharnii, probably like, forever.

Writing fanfiction and making intensely emotional music videos, has helped me recover my lost emotionality and feel what-I-feel, unmasked and with sincerity. I didn't know being able to feel again could be so good ... but it is, and I totally recommend it. At the same time, if that's not your bag, then you should go your own way. I certainly enjoy characters/people who are non-emotional and pepper my fanfics with both kinds.

For all the joy that fanfic and fandom has given me and continues to give me, I'm fucking grateful. So grateful - to you my fellow fans, to readers (who would authors be without readers?), to writers (who would readers be without writers?), and to all-the-people I've been so far (in pursuit of being only who-I-am, and nothing extra, no salt).

I've JUST finished the novel 'Thorns Wither' (the sequel and completion of my post-series Utena/Anthy centric novels, 'Roses Grow'). I never thought I'd see the day (and I'm sure that's also true of many of my readers ;-) ). Colour me shocked-my-rainbow-socks-off.

Reviews
Like all authors I adore reviews, and unlike all authors I'm happy to accept constructive criticism, and for us to have different opinions/interpretations. I particularly enjoy detailed reviews so write-on, and never feel it's too long (at least for me!). I also enjoy re-reviews after time has passed if you happen to be re-reading (and I often do this myself, when I re-read beloved fanfics). I equally like if you're reviewing from a writing stand-point, a fandom stand-point, or sharing what's touched you and what arises in you. So go with whatever feels natural to you.

Music Videos & AMVs
I used to love making AMVs (anime music videos) in which I edited the 'Revolutionary Girl Utena' anime and/or movie version clips (ie 'Adolescence of Utena') to evocative music. The many moods and genres and themes that emerged soothed or stirred my heart.

I got a lot better over time, and always enjoyed making whatever project was itching at me. Warning that the early videos are often laggy, and have subtitles. The newer videos flow, and I got access to great quality clips without subs (yay!).

I recommend my new videos and will mark them with {new} next to the title. I don't recommend my old videos {old} so much, unless you're a big fan of the pairing/music etc.
