QUIRKS: She will sometimes refer to herself in the third-person. But only on the Internet. You'd have to hold her OTP(s) hostage in order to make her do it in person.
Preferences: You guys gotta admit, we have way too many things we like, and even more things we don't.
Music: Foreign music for the American girl. Though she will insist she is 100% Asian, she can't speak a drop of Japanese or Korean to save her life. That won't stop her from swooning over ONE OK ROCK, though.
Anime: She's your average closet otaku, but she has standards. Give her a story, or give her death (she prefers her nonsensical romance and hentai in the form of fanfiction, thank you very much). Art is a big deal too, guys. She can't stand shows where the story is rich but the art is not. Let's be realistic – how many people do you see out there with eyes that take up 64% of their faces?
She has a soft spot for Naruto because hey, it was her childhood, fillers or not. But her favorite anime of all time would have to be Kill la Kill. It took her a while to stop blushing as the provocative outfits, but she has a good eye for a good story. And damn, was that a good story.
Movies: She's a huge fan of Rurouni Kenshin, and she almost died when she heard it was getting a live-action adaptation. The part that actually killed her was when she heard ONE OK ROCK was going to perform the theme song. Her friends had contemplated drugging her in order to calm her down. Now, a sequel will be released in August 2014, and she's wondering if she should buy a plane ticket to Japan in order to be one of the first people to watch it (she's joking of course – she doesn't that have that kind of money to spend). But it doesn't help that ONE OK ROCK will be returning to sing the theme for the new movie.
Voice Actors: If she's not squealing over fictional characters, than she's probably squealing over Japanese voice actors. She's lost track of many times she's amazed (bored) her friends with her extensive knowledge of seiyuu.
Your favorite character from Code Geass is Lelouche? His voice actor, Jun Fukuyama, is also known for voicing Grell Sutcliff (Black Butler), Misaki Yata (K Project), Yukio Okumura (Blue Exorcist).
In love with Sebastian from Black Butler? Daisuke Ono's got an amazing filmography: Erwin Smith (Attack on Titan), Shintarou Midorima (Kuroko no Basuke), and her personal favorite, Shizuo Heiwajima (Durarara!).
She could probably go on and on, but she must make one thing clear: Kensho Ono is hers, language barriers be damned.
Writing is hard, and drawing is just as difficult. But one day, she will post her own fanfiction, and even provide fan art for it.
But that's definitely gonna be a long way from now. Happy procrastination!
