It's the most wonderful time of the year! Er, mostly, right? Can't believe how December just sneaked right up on me, and now here it is, December 21st. I'm ready, but I haven't done my annual "go sit in the mall's food court with a nice cup of coffee and watch all the peoples" yet. Sounds loony, but I love doing that. And that's because I'm pretty much as ready for Christmas Day as I'm ever gonna be, so I'm not in panic mode. Just sittin' there, a-sipping my coffee. Har!

I've had some big changes in my life recently, but the one thing I've learned is that, hey, life does, in fact, go on. Though I've always been more of a "curse- the-darkness-rather-than-light-a-candle" kind of person, even I can see the value of not allowing bitterness to take over. So I'll just enjoy my favorite season - once it finally stops being so summer-like - and go on.
This site does not seem to be going away, and for that I'll be eternally grateful. Just found a new, great Voyager story here called "Game Theory" by Cheesesack. It's got 11 chapters so far and the writer's not done yet, so beware of that. I'm through chapter 2 and so far it's great. Be cautioned that it has some elements of f/f, so if you're not into that sort of thing, don't bother. But if you are, I say go for it. As for me, nothing new on the fanfic front, but that doesn't mean I've given it up for good. Just waiting for my Muse to strike again.

Not ashamed to admit it: I'm a blissfully-obsessed Trekker and will be till I die - and probably well after that, too. My favorite incarnation will always be Voyager, but I carry considerable affection for all the others, too, 'cept maybe Enterprise.
I continue to appreciate everyone who's still reading and taking time to review my Star Trek stories and ask that you NEVER, EVER STOP. Extra-special thanks currently goes to FaBbErOoZ, who's taken a shine recently to my P/T fic. Continued thanks and appreciation goes to Jasper's Second Choice and Dax's10thHost (now beautyofsorrow).
And, hey, don't forget, if you're looking to read some of what I lovingly call "Treksmut" from days long gone by (mostly Paris/Torres from Voyager, but also some Janeway/Chakotay and various f/f, too), I'd be more than happy to share that with anyone over the age of 18. Since we mustn't post the really dirty bits here, just e-mail me (send me an original e-mail - don't go through this site, because it blocks e-mail addresses), tell me what pairing you'd like to read, and be sure you at least put it in writing that you're old enough to read naughty bits. Meantime, I've still got loads of unsmutty Trek right here!

Thanks goes to StarbucksGhost, too, for taking time to read and review my Grey's Anatomy stories. I may never get over the firing of Brooke Smith and the demise of the Hahn/Torres relationship, and you can tell by my avatar who my favorite was, but that's only because I enjoy that particular misery and would much prefer to curse the darkness than light a candle. LOL! And can I just say? The marital troubles on Grey's gives me perverse joy. Oh for shame, huh?
Me and Doc Martin? I miss the early years. Me and Downton Abbey? I adore it, but can't summon the necessary stamina to write fic for it. But I suppose there's enough already without me, right? Me and The Mysteries of Laura? That one I may get to, if they don't cancel the thing before my Muse strikes. Oh, and maybe me and Forever, except I know they've cancelled that one. A shame, too. Hey, maybe me and Longmire. Oh no, that's gone to Netflix... Hey, maybe Heartbeat or Code Black!
