"Sucking at something is the first step to being sorta good at something." --Jake the Dog
Hey everyone, The6thAnon here. Some people call me Jessie/Jesse or Bramble depending on how they met me. I like putting characters in unlikely AUs and giving Moffat-era companions the depth they deserve. If I don't update anything this week, assume schoolwork, ill health, or a Doctor Who marathon.
Where to find me:
On an independent website (editing services, commission information, blog posts)
On the fandom side of tumblr (Doctor Who, games, books, anime, movies, etc.)
On the writing side of tumblr (poetry, prose, art, music)
On twitter (reflections, doctor who commentary, bad selfies)
On fictionpress (gentle fantasy, short stories)
Hey! If you're here for Doctor Who, please read this note about how I characterize Moffat-era companions so you know what you're getting.
Those of you who aren’t familiar with my writing may see in my tags that I “love” Moffat-era companions/ships/episodes. Let me just say right now that I don’t care too much for Moffat—I care for the stories I’ve made out of his work.
When I say I love River/11, I don’t mean I love the ship portrayed in the episodes. It’s an empty shell of what it could be, in my opinion. I love “never let him see your damage” destroyed when River says she won’t take it anymore. I love River evaluating whether she loves him or is just obsessed with him because she was programmed to be. I love 11 getting called out on his nonsense—and thinking maybe, just maybe, he wasn’t being fair to the person he thought he loved. I love them changing, fighting, being honest, earning the relationship instead of just accepting it.
When I say I love Clara, I mean I love bisexual Clara (not bisexual!Clara, not fetishized Clara), I love powerful (not feisty) Clara, I love motherly (not domestic-partner-ready) Clara.
RTD-era companions? They’re good. I don’t need to mess with them. But If Moffat gives me these half-baked companions as if daring me to make something more out of them, you can bet the heart of the TARDIS that I will.
That noted, I hope you enjoy your stay.
I consider ALL requests! No promises on which ones I'll choose, though. Also, if you play New Leaf and you've got some bells to spare, check out my bell commissions!
*Curious about this "Void Ship Saga" business? Here are the details*
I wrote this tiny DW/Portal crossover for my brother's birthday, but it evolved into something much bigger. I intend for the saga to include crossovers over dozens of stories.
While you can read the stories as standalone pieces, I've provided a "Book of Spoilers" to sum up each episode so you don't have to. This allows followers of the saga to skip over fandoms they are not interested in and still understand The Doctor's adventures.
Each story will come with a spin-off. I'll consider requests for specific crossovers, though I make the final decision. Sherlock and Supernatural will not be included.

Quotes (pretty much a necessity on here, from what I've seen)
"Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place." --Kurt Vonnegut
“I don't think you have time to waste not writing because you are afraid you won't be good at it.” --Anne Lamott (Bird by Bird)
“Show me a hero, and I'll write you a tragedy.” --F. Scott Fitzgerald
"Roxas, that's a stick." --Xion
"“I wasn't actually in love, but I felt a sort of tender curiosity.” --F. Scott Fitzgerald
“A purpose of human life, no matter who is controlling it, is to love whoever is around to be loved.” --Kurt Vonnegut
"The Doctor will not!" --10th Doctor
"I hope you will have a wonderful year, that you’ll dream dangerously and outrageously, that you’ll make something that didn’t exist before you made it, that you will be loved and that you will be liked, and that you will have people to love and to like in return. And, most importantly (because I think there should be more kindness and more wisdom in the world right now), that you will, when you need to be, be wise, and that you will always be kind." --Neil Gaiman
"Remember if people talk behind your back, it only means you are two steps ahead." --Fannie Flagg
"And the best thing you might be able to do today is get outside, thank the skies for this day, and be the best darn broken piece of lovely you can be. Broken loveliness is the world’s most common language. We all speak it so we might as well get fluent." --Hannah Brencher
"I'm burning up a sun just to say goodbye." --10th Doctor
"It’s not our job to toughen our children up to face a cruel and heartless world. It’s our job to raise children who will make the world a little less cruel and heartless." --L.R. Knost
"I should have been more kind. That is something a person will never regret. You will never say to yourself when you are old, ‘Ah, I wish I was not good to that person.’ You will never think that." --Khaled Hosseini
"Sleep heavily and know that I am here with you now. The past is gone, and cannot harm you anymore. And while the future is fast coming for you, it always flinches first, and settles in as the gentle present. This now, this us, we can cope with that. We can do this together, you and I, drowsily, but comfortably." --Cecil Baldwin (Welcome to Night Vale)
If you're looking to improve your writing ability, I couldn't recommend these two books enough:
Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott is just fantastic. It completely changed my perspective on writing in 10th grade.
The Poet's Companion is also an incredible resource. Several poets I admire suggested I take a look at this book, and I'm so glad they did.
I will leave you with a final quote: "Let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure." --J.K. Rowling
