Hi, I'm Katie, and I am an 18 year old fanfic-writing, animated movie-loving, slightly crazy and over-excited fangirl of many different fandoms, and who often develops crushes on and becomes obsessed with certain animated characters. xD I am a 2015 high-school graduate, and I have no idea what's next at the moment. xD I hardly ever act my age (Pfft, who wants to grow up?? xD) and I tend to like animated movies better than any other kind, mainly Disney and Dream-works. Like I said earlier I tend to have crushes on animated characters.
I first got into fanfics and became a fangirl four years ago, and my first animated obsession was the TV show Penguins of Madagascar, and my first animated crush was Skipper. It actually took me a good 2 or 3 years to get over him, but in the meantime I also became obsessed with Ice Age, mainly the 3rd one, where Buck was my animated crush. XD Then I became obsessed with Cars 2 when it came out, and developed a crush on Finn McMissile, who I actually just recently got over. So yeah, my first three animated crushes were not human, either animals or a car. xD But ever since last year, I have gotten over those three and have moved on to actual animated human crushes. I've always liked HTTYD, but I was never really that completely into it until the second one came out... because OH MY CHEESE, Dream-works really out did their selves with 20 year old Hiccup, oh my goodness... it's amazing how five years can change a scrawny toothpick of a boy into a handsome, hot hunk of a guy. xD He's so stinkin' cool. xD But even though Hiccup is super good looking in the second one that's not the only reason I like him; I mainly like him because of all that he's been through and how far he's come. He changed his world for the better, and lost his leg and nearly his life in the process, to save a people who had basically turned their backs on him and called him useless, a mistake. His heart is bigger than all of theirs put together. It's always the ones that are forgotten, neglected and underestimated that become the biggest heroes, just by doing what they believe is right and standing up for something they believe in.
But anyway, over the past month I've become obsessed with a different movie (who's soundtrack I'm actually listening to right now), and even though I still love Hiccup and probably will for a looooooong time, right now I have a crush on another guy; a really cute, adorable nerd who has a heart bigger than the city he lives in, and who dies trying to save a guy who didn't deserve it. Yup, Tadashi Hamada is the first animated crush I've ever had who actually dies in the movie. :( I've seen that movie 10 times and I still cry. It's so unfair... Tadashi is the awesomest character in the whole movie in my opinion (he's the best big brother ever), and he's only in there for 20 minutes or so of the whole thing. You don't really get a chance to know him as well as I'd like... The track called "Tadashi" is coming up... where he dies... I'm gonna cry... anyway, so yeah, he's my favorite character in the movie, even though he dies... ok, so anyway, I'm probably gonna end up writing a fanfic where it is discovered that he is actually still alive, because like pretty much all the Tadashi fan-girls out there, I'm kind of in denial that he's dead. xD
So yeah, as far as writing fanfics go, lately I've come up with a bunch of ideas for Big Hero 6 ideas, although I still have some HTTYD fanfics I'm working on, although they probably won't be finished any time soon, what with all my BH6 ideas. As of right now, I am working on two BH6 fanfics, one HTTYD fanfic, and a HTTYD/Frozen crossover (which will probably not be finished for a long time, if I even finish it...), and I have a lot of other ideas, mainly BH6, that I want to eventually start writing. I only have one fanfic on this website so far; a HTTYD one-shot, but hopefully I'll be able to make some progress on my other fanfics soon; I get writers block a lot, and I always finish writing the entire fanfic before I start posting it because I am a perfectionist and there's a good chance I'll go back and rewrite some of it, so I want to make sure I'm at least mostly satisfied with the whole thing before I start posting it. So yeah, it'll be a while before I post a new story on here, but I'll make a list of the fanfics I'm working on, and a little bit about them. :3
Fanfics Currently in Progress:
Unbelievable, a Big Hero 6 fanfic, title may change. First in a series of maybe three fanfics. 7 years after his brother's death, 21 year old Hiro has committed his life to fulfilling Tadashi's dream of helping people through Robotics and other forms of Technology and Science, and of course secretly being the leader of the famed Big Hero 6, but even knowing that he's helping people and making his brother proud doesn't fill that empty hole in his heart that still aches, even after 7 years. But when the head of SFIT asks Hiro to be a Robotics teacher at a new school that SFIT is opening for younger kids that are much smarter than other kids their age, and Hiro eventually agrees, he meets a young boy named Katashi, an incredibly smart and creative 6-year old who is at the top of his Robotics class. Katashi reminds Hiro so much of the brother he lost, both with his looks and personality, and as Hiro learns more about the smart little prodigy, he comes closer and closer to discovering something... something no one would have expected... something... unbelievable.
A Bond that Lasts Forever, a Big Hero 6 fanfic, possibly either a one-shot or just a very short fanfic with like, 3 or 4 chapters. Even at 7 years old, Tadashi knew the minute he saw his baby brother that he would always be there for him, no matter what, and that nothing could stop him from protecting his little brother. He promised Hiro when he was just a baby that he would always protect him, and he was going to keep that promise. No matter what.
A Place Called Home, a HTTYD fanfic, happens 4 years after the second movie. On a tiny island in the middle of an endless sea, live a young girl and her dragon. All they have is each other, and the bond that they share. Until a perilous flight in a lightning storm brings them to Berk, where the girl finds a family, and the dragon finds a mate. Life is better than they ever thought it could be… but a revengeful madman who was thought to be dead lurks in the distant islands, waiting for his change to get revenge. The young girl is captured, but her new father, the Chief of Berk, is not about to let the ones he loves die… not as long as he’s alive and breathing.
Of Dragons and Ice, a HTTYD and Frozen crossover, AU HTTYD, canon Frozen. Elsa had heard the rumors. She’d heard the stories that sailors, ship captains and merchants from distant lands had told of a mysterious man who rides a black dragon... a man who leads, protects, and seems to control the dragons. A man who can summon fire and control it, much like Elsa can with snow and ice. She had never known if the stories were true or not... but that was before this mysterious stranger had come, this strange man she often caught glimpses of on the outskirts of her Kingdom... the man that only she saw... who seemed to be trying to get her attention. The man who seemed... familiar to her... as if from a long forgotten dream. As Queen, she had to know if this man was a threat to her Kingdom; she had to know if he was in fact the Fire-Wielding Dragon King. What she finds will bring back memories long forgotten, change her perspective and the way she views dragons and other people, and take her on the ride of her life. In more ways than one. Hiccup/Elsa. "...You know time will give and time will take, all the memories made will wash away, even though we've changed, I'm still here with you..." -Raging Fire by Philip Philips
