Author has written 7 stories for Soul Eater, Pitch Black / Riddick, and Firefly.
Welcome welcome welcome! R. Coots here. I figured that since I’ve got stories posted, I may as well put up a profile. I love reading and movies and TV shows, and I love art and writing as well. Mixing all of these tends to make for more fanfiction and fanart ideas than I can really push out of my head at once. But every so often one of the ideas manages to worm its way out and onto paper. They take over my life I tell you!
TO THE LITTLE TURKEY WITH THE DR. WHO FIXATION. Yes. You. I happen to like Vacant Houses' story. I am a Riddick fan. Not a Whovian. I don't watch Dr. Who. I don't really care to. Therefore I don't give a dang what is right and what is wrong in that particular crossover. Riddick's mind is getting messed with by a time traveler. That's good enough for me. KINDLY STOP LEAVING REVIEWS THAT ARE NOT REVIEWS ON MY WORK! THEY WILL BE DELETED!
Life in the Key of G: Started as a series of characters studies chronicling Soul and Maka’s journey from brand new partners to a pair that lives so much inside each other’s skin, words aren’t really need. Taking place in gaps that the series doesn’t show, I have more chapters written, but I burned myself out a bit on Soul Eater at the time of writing and haven’t had the oomph to get them through a final edit and posting. Blah
Hide, Hide Yourself for Now: FINISHED! My current obsession. Tossed around a lot of ideas for this before settling on the one I went with. I wanted to do a Riddick/River story that wasn’t a retelling of Pitch Black. There are a number of very fine variations on that theme, but that’s just the thing. There are a number of them. Neither did I want to merge Riddick’s universe right into Firefly. Again, some very good stories, but there’s only so many times that it will work. So I hunted for ways to drop River into Riddick’s home turf. At first she was going to have ended up in Crematoria somehow and gotten out with him, but that was a little too contrived for my tastes. So I went with the greatest common denominator that the two had in common. Cryo. And this story was born. I hope you all enjoy.
Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch: Decided to play with Boss Johns a bit, since I liked him so much from the newest movie. It will tie in with HHYFN eventually. Well, the other stories I have in mind will. I'm leaving this as a one shot for now.
I'm Addicted to Lust: I needed to deal with the afterman of HHYFN. But it didn't make sense to do it as part of that particular EPIC wall of text. So I'm exploring the aftereffects here. Riddick's still a little broken. River too. The crew...well hopefully they just get the heck out of the way...
Beware the Lips: Zoe/Jayne centric. Set maybe a year or so post-HHYFN. What sprang from the question of "Why just the LIPS?" and mated to "That's why I never kiss 'm on the lips" when I was rewatching Our Mrs. Reynolds one day; this is the psychotic child of a gutter mind. Enjoy!
So. Did a sketch for HHYFN. Of the dress from Ch. 22. Not neat. Not detailed. Just my idea of what she's wearing.
I entered that Regal Cinemas movie poster contest. Didn't win, but figured I'd upload the pic now that the contest is over.
I do plan to post some fanart eventually, but I need to get this written some. I’m thinking fake animation frames. If you guys see a scene you’d like, I can give it a shot.
Ta! And as always, I live off of reviews!
