The name's Uirk. Dr. Q. Uirk. But most people opt to call me Doctor Q.

What can I say? I'm a huge contradiction in myself: born Southern with a Yankee heart. American, but oddly, most people guess British (I have no idea). Although I'd love to claim modest, I'm nothing short of cocky and perhaps a bit rude under certain circumstances. C'est la vie, non?

A flair for the dramatic? Most definitely.

I've always been attracted to the idea of writing, but I really started taking a serious interest in it around 2010.

My best friend at the time and I had been separated and missed each other and our years together dearly, so we started creating fanciful situations and stories involving us and our friends. And from there, it progressed in a need to write and adapt ourselves and friends into characters and impossible situations. Yes, my writing career began with a self-insert.

Don't let that scare you away, though. Through the years I've worked at mastering my techniques and prose and watched the content and quality of my various stories change dynamically, and they still do in a rather rapid way (see Fraternizing with the Enemy; you'll understand what I mean).

As for self-inserts: I don't believe that they're bad - done correctly, of course.

So with that said: I'm not big into writing fan fiction, but I occasionally have the urge to write something. And by something I mean TF2.

TF2 is something I got into - unknowingly - even before writing, and we've been pals ever since.

I still have another account on Wattpad (not my original). Honestly, the site sucks, but I haven't given up hope on it. If you care to find me or any of my original works, as well as fan fictions on there, feel free: http://www.wattpad.com/user/DrQUirk

For art (none yet, but there will be): http://www.tumblr.com/blog/doctor-q

I've got a Deviant Art, as well, but, meh-- Look up "BatSchadenfreude" if you're that desperate.

If you're interested in my Steam: PM me.

- Brutally honest

- Fairly skilled in grammar as well as prose, but by no means perfect

- Original or, in other words, crack-pairings

- May include a self-insert or two but with due warning

- Particularly adept at parodies, satire, allegory, and fantasy

- Favorite FanFiction author is Maggot Magnet

Props to whomever guesses where I adopted this layout from.
