First off... I own nothing more than my own OC's (if used) and story ideas.
Favorite Fanfic at the moment https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11824678/1/The-Songs-of-the-Hopeful-A-Chipmunk-Story Don't forget to leave a review!
*NOTICE* When I write for Alvin and the Chipmunks, I write them all as humans. I feel that I can connect with my readers easier that way, and I prefer to stick with my comfort zone and not write them as animals. Yes, I love them as the little furry creatures they are, but I struggle writing them as animals. It's weird to me. :P
I don't and won't write crossovers.
My favorite genres to write for is Drama and General. I like to read in Angst, Drama, General, Humor, Hurt/Comfort, Mystery (depending on what other genre it's mixed with) Romance, Suspense, and Tragedy.
You can call me Rose. Or Monica. I'm cool with both. xD
I love underlining, italicizing, and putting words in bold. It's fun, and this is my profile so I can do it! :D
Have a question? Just wanna chat? Message me! I'm easy to get along with, and I reply to all messages. :)
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Let's all go back to our first story. You signed up for your account and waited patiently for the waiting period because new users can't post stories. And then, finally, you hit the post story button, and waited. Don't we all remember how excited we were when we checked the review count to see if we had gotten a review? We didn't even care if it was a three word "Good chapter, update." (even though we wished for more.) And as the reviews came in, you felt that smile creep across your face. The excitement (however small) you get when you see the review count go up is always enjoyable.
Are we really so cruel as to deny someone that feeling? It only takes five minutes tops. Join the revolution, take the pledge and paste this onto your profile.
I, Monica Rose, pledge to always try to thoughtfully review every chapter of every story I read. I pledge to not leave flames and only offer advice. I pledge to raise the review count, one chapter at a time.
To the readers and the writers of FanFiction.net...
((( PLEASE READ )))
Jumping right to the point: REVIEW.
"Lackofreviewsitus is the greatest killer of fan fic writers out there. We at the institute wish to let the public know of how they can pitch in to save our dying writers.
1) Drop a review every other chapter. It may not seem like much, but reviews are actually what many of us want to see. That, and hits. Hits do make us happy but we don't really know if people like our story or not.
2) Visit our author page. Those kind of hits really make us happy. It's where we showcase our entourage of friends, beta readers, and stories. Some of us even tidy up with set areas for upcoming story ideas and character bios.
3) Send an email. While normally I'd prefer a review, emails are just as good. Really, it warms my heart to communicate with another reader or writer."
What you call being "too lazy to review" is what we call "a flame to the pages" as the writers. That one minute or two that you felt "too lazy" to review is another minute of creeping discouragement that all writers feel as they begin to think...
"Why am I even here…?"
"What's even the point of continuing?"
"My skills must be terrible…no one cares for my story…"
"I'll never be a good writer...I quit."
These are only a few thoughts that go through every writer's head- that go through MY head- when we put out a chapter / story with all our heart and soul within, and we sit there…and sit…and wait…and not a single person says even a word.
If you're not a writer, you have NO IDEA how much that hurts…
If you ARE a writer, then I'm sure you know just how great it feels when someone is kind enough to leave a heartwarming and encouraging review, and you read it, smiling while thinking…"Wow…I did it…"
So, why not give fellow writers the same luxury here?
Too many times I've seen epic and utterly beautiful works of literary art fall to pieces before finally being abandoned due to the terrible discouragement that the lack of reviews can cause.
Sometimes, it is so severe that the very writer himself decides to quit, denying the world his skills of writing that I'm it would have deeply enjoyed.
Just one minute, that's all it takes. Just a few gentle taps of the fingers on your keyboard, a few seconds or so of your time, and your words can SAVE a writer from a dark demise.
Do me a favor: Go find a story, ANY story, anywhere here on Fanfic.net, and see if you can help it. If it has very little / no reviews at all, just check it out, and say whatever comes to mind.
And enjoy the thought in mind that you could have just SAVED that story, with just a few taps of the keyboard…
If you agree with what I have said then please copy and paste any part of this story you wish onto your profile.
Thank you so much for reading, and please try to complete the 'mission' I have given you. With just a minute of your time, you could save a writer…so please, do it.
Because, my readers…
Silence, is truly deafening…
One day, an old man is sitting with his twenty-five year-old son in a train. The train is just about to leave the station and all the passengers are settling down into their seats. As the train begins to move, the young man is filled with joy and curiosity. He is sitting in a window seat, and he sticks one hand out the window, feeling the passing air.
He shouts, "Papa! See! All the trees are going behind us!"
The old man smiles and admires his son's feelings. But beside the two is a couple, sitting and listening to the conversation. They feel uncomfortable with the attitude of the son, behaving like a small child.
Time passes, and suddenly the young man shouts again, "Papa! See the pond and the animals? Can you see all the colors? And the clouds, they're moving with the train - with us!"
The couple watches along in embarrassment, but it becomes quiet after a moment so they say nothing. Then they notice that it begins to rain, and the water drops onto the hand of the young man.
He is overjoyed and closes his eyes before opening them, tear-filled and amazed. "Papa! It's raining! It's raining! Water is touching me! Do you see the water, papa?"
The couple finds themselves unable to stand the sight anymore and interrupt, asking the old man, "Why don't you visit a doctor and see if you can find treatment for your son."
The old man looks from his son to the couple and smiles. "I did... and we're coming from the hospital now. Just today, my son got his eye sight for the first time in his life."
So you're saying that-
I'm a loser because *I don't want to be popular.
I'm the girl that *if you call my friend a brat I will say something.
I am a girl.
Harsh but vulnerable.
Sarcastic but silly.
Stupid but thoughtful.
Thorny but tender.
Funny but serious.
Loud but passive.
Dramatic but bland.
An open book.
Easy to love & easy to hate.
Klutzy but occasionally coordinated.
Independent, but dependent on friends.
A muddling paradox.
An unsolvable contradiction.
And totally proud of it.
Calling me FAKE won't make you REAL,
The Right Guy:
Find the guy that calls you beautiful instead of hot,
who calls you back when you hang up on him,
who will lay under the stars for hours and listen to your heart beat,
Or will stay awake just to watch you sleep.
Wait for the guy that kisses your forehead,
who keeps your picture in his wallet,
who wants to show you off to the world even when your in sweatpants,
who holds your hand in front of all his friends,
who thinks your beautiful without makeup,
And one who is constantly telling you how much he cares and how is lucky he is to have you.
The one who turns to his friends and says "That's her!"
