Hi to all,
I have discontinued writing fanfiction. I left a note to all of you in the fics. Luv you all. All the best. Be blessed.
Just a note. I find it interesting about the comments I've received as it relates to my discontinuation of fanfiction, and my reason for it. It's interesting. I've been called small minded, restrained, contained...I have had a few comments about being an offense, and judgmental. It's so interesting coming from a pile of people who do not know me, whom I've never tried to convert in anyway.
Think about it:
If there is freedom of choice, and expression, why can't I choose to discontinue writing, and express the reason for it.
Never did I point any fingers at anyone who continued writing, yet I'm judgmental
I merely said why I choose to stop, and I offend
In a world that teaches, "follow your dreams" "Never compromise" I'm being encouraged to continue writing and make the 'religion' work
I've been told to crawl in a hole and die with best wishes that I go to the utter most religions of my hell
All because I decided to stop writing, and say why.
If I had said, "I will discontinue fanfiction because it I want to study to be a Kung Fu master and my sensi would not allow his students to partake in fanfiction" what would you have said... be honest with yourself.
If I had said, "I will discontinue ff.net because I think it sucks as a site, with sucky writers, and children posting" what would you have said. Be honest. I came across some comments that down right insulted the authors of ff.net and belittled the site so truly, you're not responding to anyone but yourself. Be honest.
If I had said any other thing, career, no time, I've outgrown it, I can't get decent critique, any other thing, what would you have said.
Everyone has a problem with Christianity, but if I had compromised - in a world that says have it your way, never give up, go get it, never surrender, fight for what you believe, stand firm in your beliefs, everyone had the right to freedom, freedom of speech, freedom to choose, freedom to be free - why must I make my faith fit.
My faith, not religion, says I serve no other God but The God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. He doesn't like sorcery, witchcraft, or sexual immorality. He says to stay away from the appearance of evil, and to meditate on what is pure, true, holy, good, of excellent report, noble and righteous. He wants me to be holy as He is holy
How does me writing stories glorifying a cartoon based on the idea that demons have good in them, they can work together with humans in peace love and harmony fighting only the bad demons, in a world where my God is not glorified as God, and sorcery is ok and commonplace, fit?
The world fights for everything but Christianity.
Even if there are different religions fighting against each other, the world snuffs Christianity.
You all would have understood if I was a Shaolin monk, and gave up writing due to vows wouldn't you?
Someone said, I'm "missing the big picture, the battle between good and evil, with good prevailing"
No no, according to my faith, you're missing the big picture. The line between what is good and what is evil is being blurred. The world has switched them around, meshed them up, and made it shameful to stand for what is right and true.
Think about it.
Everything bad is being glorified, Christianity is being labeled as a faith for small minds, filled with judgment, and the message is being spread that the darker, more manipulative, more sexually IMMORAL, the more mystic you are . . . the more likely it is that you will make it, or the better you are.
You're being fooled. You don't have to be a fool to be fooled.
