Author has written 2 stories for Schindler's List.
Hey :) I'm Juliet, and I'm here because I'm a WWII and Hunger Games freak. I love reading & writing about basically anything related to WWII. I'm not Jewish but my grandmother was, she was born in Paris but emigrated to the United States when she was a little girl.
If you want to know my 'story', you may find out about me here. I'm Spanish, but my dad is American, so I grew up handling both English and Spanish. Then, last September, I moved to London because of my dad's job, and in my school I met a Spanish girl who had also moved to London a couple of years before, and she got me introduced into the whole Hunger Games thing. Last year she told me about this site, but I didn't really pay attention. In case you guys know her, her user name was something like RiversOfVenice, but she's not online anymore because her account was hacked and she felt completely depressed about it and doesn't want to go on with FanFiction anymore and blah-blah-blah – so here I am, I felt curious and I'm just trying, let's see how it goes :)
Now that's enough about my story, here you'll also find my favorite books & movies, some ten facts about me and my future fic ideas :)
Favorite Movies: Schindler's List, Amélie, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, The Pianist, Life is Beautiful, Defiance, Casablanca, The English Patient, Finding Neverland, Titanic, Inglorious Bastards, Valkyrie, Dead Poets Society, A Beautiful Mind, The Great Dictator, In Darkness, Slumdog Millionaire, Pearl Harbor. Anything by Woody Allen is epic to me, but my favorites of his movies are Match Point, To Rome With Love (I just watched it online and it's epic ^^), Manhattan Murder Mystery and September.
Favorite Books: The Hunger Games, Flipped, The Shadow of the Wind, Harry Potter, The Penderwick Sisters, The Girl in Schindler's List, The Notebook, The Time Travelers, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, A Walk To Remember, Dear John, Lily's Crossing, Lemonade Mouth, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Vermeer Mystery, One Day, Schindler's Ark.
10 things you might want to know about me
1- I'm obsessed with The Beatles. They're my favorite band ever.
2- Electronic music gets me on my nerves.
3- My favorite filmmaker is Woody Allen, followed by Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese.
4- My favorite actor would be either Liam Neeson or Ralph Fiennes. Oh god, I loved them both in "Schindler's List". I also love Roberto Benigni, Asa Butterfield, Adrien Brody, Audrey Tautou and many more.
5- I play the violin since age six.
6- I want to be either a Journalist or an Historian one day. Science doesn't really apply to me, you know.
7- I love chocolate, unless it's white chocolate. White chocolate is for the weaks. I prefer either milk or black chocolate.
8- I spend all of my holidays (winter, Easter, summer...) in Spain, at my grandparents' in a little town in Galicia. So I guess I won't be writing much over holidays! My cousins there are introducing me to the topic of Spanish Civil War, which I'm finding quite interesting as well.
9- The first time I heard about Anne Frank, I spent the whole night wide awake. I felt so disturbed with everything I had learnt within an hour in class. That was back in the fifth grade.
10- I have a best friend who is also a WWII freak, and kind of introduced the topic to me when we were like ten years old.
Kill Or Be Killed: The 80th Hunger Games: The Rebellion failed and Peeta and Katniss have been forced to live a completely fake life in D12 as mentors for the Hunger Games. Now there's 24 new tributes fighting for their lives in the arena, and one of them can be yours!
Currently Writing: None, I have to get my tributes first!
Shadows in the Night: Before the war, there were more than 10,000 Jews in Munich. In April 30, 1945, when the city was liberated, there were only eighty five left. Eighty five, out of ten thousand. Daniel and his little sister Sophie were two of them. Marianne, by other hand, is the perfect Nazi daughter, up until she meets Daniel and helps him endure the years of the Holocaust. This is their story.
Currently Writing: Chapter Two.
