Poll: What Three Milestones Story Arcs/Aspects Should I Prioritize? Vote Now!
Author has written 17 stories for Fire Emblem, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, Code Geass, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Teen Titans, Young Justice, Angel Beats!/エンジェルビーツ, Rise of the Guardians, Phineas and Ferb, and Justice League.
Note pertaining to all of my fanfictions: From now on, updates will be VERY infrequent, since aside from fanfictions, I have a gazillion and one stories of my own, and a certain almost complete one that a friend of mine is pushing me to send to a publisher. I doubt I ever will A) finish it, or if I do, B) there is no way it would ever get published unless I print a bunch of copies, sew them into plain covers, and sell them at a yardsale. Especially since my writing is terrible.
Since I've seen other people having these on their profiles, here is a literal profile of myself.
Name: For all fanfiction purposes, my name is Nea. I like the name, especially now that I know that there is a D. Gray-Man character who is also named Nea.
I am: An aspiring author with (in my opinion, justified) self-esteem/confidence issues. I can read Greek (takes me a couple seconds, as with reading Mandarin or Japanese) and understand a good bit of Ancient Greek. I like reading about myths and magic and stuff like that (though if dad sees this, for the bazillionth time I do not believe in magic- not in this universe anyway). I believe in the multiverse theory. When I was a little kid I would've listed my religion as "Olympian-Pantheon-ism" if it wouldn't have made people think I was crazy. One of my best childhood memories is being approached by someone in the next grade up and being asked (very casually) if I could "see through the Mist". Being an eight-year-old with pretty good vision, and it being a very slightly foggy day, I of course said yes. The older girl then directed me to a delta carved on one of the monkey bar column-thingies and asked me if it glowed.
Other randomness: I am currently writing four of my own novels/mini-novels. I like to swim. My breath-holding record is two minutes and fifteen seconds. I can ride a bike. I like bats. A lot. Hence the name, "Nocturnea". I am not exceedingly fond of owls (I don't dislike them, but I don't particularly like them either). I think bats are the cutest type of animal, followed by ravens/crows and cats in second, and chickadees in third.
Summaries of Fanfics I'm Writing/Will Write and Will Post in the Future:
Unnamed Batman-Percy Jackson Crossover
Summary: Klavier, a 17-year-old son of Apollo, is sure he has it all. He's lived at Camp Half-Blood since his mother died (so, nearly his whole life), but he's never lost his sunny personality and love of laughter. An incorrigible prankster and brilliant stand-up comedian, he has many younger siblings who love him a lot. Klav also happens to have the gift of prophecy, more so than any other demigod at camp but less than the oracle, and his visions shock and alarm him. Because JKR, Joseph Klavier "Klav" Randall, is the boy who grew up to become the Joker.
Characters: JKR/Joker in preliminary chapters, but mainly narrated by Chiron and Will Solace.
Level of Canon-Compliance: Basically none except characterization (not counting Klavier)
Son of Two Worlds
Summary: Robin is a sixteen-year-old boy who wakes up in a field one day. He has no idea how he got there, but he did a pretty good job kicking those bandits' butts and now he's been made tactician of the prince's crack team to defend the land from zombies, invaders, and anything in between. All things considered, he thinks he drew a pretty good lot, but things aren't as simpe as they seem. Soon enough, Robin finds himself caught in an immortal's sinister bid for power. Aside from dealing with that, he's also coping with a huge crush on the older sister of his best friend (who happen to be the monarch and crown prince of Ylisse, respectively, making one of both of them his boss), and with regaining bits and pieces of his memory— just enough to make him curiouser and curiouser each time. Between the impending apocalypse, normal teen drama, and the very real possibility of a conspiracy spanning at least two universes, what's a boy wonder to do?
Characters: Robin (though I won't say which one until I'm a few chapters in, I will say he's not the oldest or youngest), Chrom, Validar, Damian, Henry, Stephanie... Basically everyone, in one way or another.
Canon-Compliance: It's a crossover, so... Still none, pretty much. Or, I guess it keeps a bunch of stuff from canon, but it changes a lot too... So, basically just what's normal for a crossover.
Other: Each chapter is taking a long time to write. The first is 12000ish words long already, and I'm still adding a scene! Either I finish this before posting it, or updates will be slow as a slug going through gelatin.
Summary: Sequel to "If", replacing the current sequel and hopefully better than said sequel. Same timeframe, same family fluff (at some parts anyway), but now with 100% more angst!
Summary: When the blinding light clears...
Characters: Billy Kaplan and Tommy Shepherd
Genre: Angst and Tragedy. Again, 100% more angst. Not a fully formed idea yet.
A Friend By Any Other Name
Summary: Frenemies! Don't you just love them? A series of one-shots dedicated to DC-comics-based Frenemies. Now with 100% more... Wait for it... Wait for it... Perry the Platypus. Ha! And you thought I was going to say angst.
Other: Not even started yet.
