Hi! I'm Anbu-chan! Let me introduce myself.
I just your average teenage girl who's got a bad case of wanderlust and a slight (read: unhealthy) obsession with various fandoms.
Those fandoms happen to be: Naruto, Bleach, Hetalia, Death Note, Kuroshitsuji, Durarara!, One Piece, The Rise of the Guardians, Inuyasha, Code Geas, Shingeki no Kyojin, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Hobbit, LOTR, Shugo Chara, Ouran Highschool Host Club, Full Metal Alchemist, Fairytale, and Soul Eater.
But, let's be honest. I'm really actually just a diehard Naruto fan, dattebayoooo!
If you're actually interested in some other facts about me, they happen to be: I play various instruments. I LOVE sushi. I absolutely abhor math. I love drawing and painting. I am the owner of an adorable puppy. I am awkward. My spirit animal is a potato, but it's part of my charm. I like long walks on the beach.
So now that you have some useless information on me, let's get this show on the road!

UPDATE (1/20/18) *hides behind a rock* I'm back! Please don't kill me, I'm really sorry guys! 2017 was a tough year that brought a lot of changes with it; moving to college being one of the more jarring changes. I've done a lot of maturing and growing since I've last written anything on this website, and that has begun to reflect in my writing style. This means that I plan on going back this year and re-writing a lot of my old stuff, particularly The Barista. My plan is to start re-writing and have everything done in time so that I can start on the next chapter by the time summer rolls around again, as well as moving onto some of my more serious story ideas like You Only Live Twice and The Archives and Something in the Mist. In addition, I have very real plans to publish a poetry book within the next year and a half, so that will take up a lot of my time, as well as classes and new friendships and relationships. Please bear with me. I love writing and I want to keep writing on this website, but I don't have as much time available so please be patient. Thank you. I hope everyone had a good New Year :)
UPDATE (5/14/17) Hello to all who actually read this! I have news. I'm gonna be super busy, what with all the events that are part of senior year and graduating, but I'm going to try my best to get out another chapter of The Barista out before June 16th. After that, I have the whole summer to write!!! I'm so excited. :) I've been rolling around new ideas in my head, so check my new story summaries OFTEN! I also need people to VOTE because there's a tie in my current poll. Please do that if you want to, or haven't already! I've changed the summary for Something in the Mist. I added Chapter Progress, where you can see how much of a chapter I have ready to go, as well.
UPDATE (3/19/17) Hello. I have new cross-over story prompts, plz check them out :)
UPDATE (2/26/17) Hi everyone. Ignore what I said about no more college applications, because I have a shit load of scholarships to fill out now, XP, well what can you say, no rest for the wicked. My plan of action is to revise what I have written in the Barista, I read it through and noticed a few things I really should've explained. Then, once it's been revised, it will be my main focus again. I will try my best to get a new chapter out soon, but no promises. For all my Follow Me Home fans, you'll still have to wait. My Naruto fanfictions are taking the forefront again. Please vote or PM me or just tell me which Naruto stories you guys would like to see from me next, because I'm super excited for all of them.
UPDATE (12/28/16) HI. Good news: I'm ready to get back into writing every day if possible (no moAR COLLEGE APPLICATIONS), so hopefully there will be more frequent updates, especially after my finals.
Approximate update schedule*
The Barista: June 6th
Follow Me Home: Hiatus
A Ghost in Waterloo Station: June 12th
In The Dark: TBD
*This is not 100% accurate. I might update sooner, I might update later- it's simply a ballpark estimate.
Follow Me Home.
Summary: Thorin Oakenshield's birthright is The Lonely Mountain. My name is Eleniel Alunfraad, and my birthright lies within that mountain. I am a mighty Dragon Rider, and Smaug is my dragon. KilixOCxFili
This story has recently fallen off of my priority list and that's mainly because of the fact that I've been so busy. Do not fret, this story will get the love and attention it needs, but it will take a while.
A Ghost in Waterloo Station.
Summary: "Welcome aboard the Ghost in Waterloo Station where the everyday world's your point of departure, but the place of arrival is never the shore you started from!" Sakura gulped as she stepped off the train. When she got on that train, she had no intention of arriving in another world! "Damn," she muttered. "I don't think I'm in London anymore..." (Also: "An old lady indirectly told me not to board a train to the college of my dreams and I stupidly ignored her wise words only to find myself in a city that I nor the Internet has ever heard of, which is filled with guys who have better hair than me and creepy guys who wear glasses and stalk girls for their pedo masters!" Sakura cried. Kakashi wasn't sure how to respond to that.) Naruto AU; MultixSaku; Three/Five-shot.
I adore this story. It's my first official fanfiction ever, but face-lifted and revised, obviously. It's based off Spirited Away, a lovely childhood movie I watched almost every day. This story is currently writing itself out, but it will be very whimsical, and more Sakura-centric, with a touch of romance (or infatuation, in some cases, those darn villains). It's going to be exciting.
Summary: Barista: bəˈrēstə,bəˈrɪstə/ (n.) a person whose job involves preparing and serving different types of coffee. Sakura couldn't decide what she liked more, the coffee or her eccentric customers. AU; MultiSaku
LOL PLOT HAS ARRIVED. Prepare yourselves.
(1/20/18) The Barista is being re-written, due to the fact that Anbu-chan got plot inspiration so late into the story, and that has caused some minor plot holes that will drive her crazy if she does not fix them, so the story is on a brief pause while it's being fixed and minor changes are being made to the story. More information will come as the re-writing process is happening.
In The Dark.
Summary: When Death came to him, he was willing to accept his fate. "I am the spirit of judgement. I see all that you were, all that you are now, and all that you can be. It is my choice to decide whether you are worthy of a second chance or not. Now tell me, Pitch Black, who are you?" He looked into the milky, blind eyes of Death, and told her the truth. "I don't know."
I can't even begin to explain this story, and how completely, utterly PUMPED it makes me. First and foremost, it's a story about rediscovering oneself, finding one's purpose, and redemption. It's going to be a slow-burner romance, but that's about all I'm going to tell you guys, or I'll spoil it all. This story is unlike all my other ones, as it has a lot of deep themes, it's very philosophical, and it is nowhere near as light as all my Naruto stories, for example. This story is bringing me wayyy outside my comfort zone, but I'm hoping it will be a story with profound meaning that readers of all kinds will enjoy.
The Barista- Re-writing process: 0% complete, (Chapter 14) 35% written
A Ghost in Waterloo Station- (Chapter 2) 10%
In The Dark- (Chapter 3) 45%
Follow Me Home- (Chapter 15) Drafts and notes written, but no chapter currently
Upcoming/Possible Story Ideas:
Alcohol Influences: Because some of the best decisions are made under the influence of sake. "Kakashi, what the hell am I doing?" Sakura slurred over her sake cup. "I did not waste most of my life trying to surpass Tsunade only to become a lonely housewife, while Sasuke gallivants across the countries singing songs of his angst!" In which alcohol convinces Sakura to take her life into her own hands, and Kakashi is somehow dragged along for the ride. Naruto alternate ending; eventual KakaSaku.
Albums: Sometimes life is best remembered through songs. A collection of one-shots based on music albums and individual songs. Song-fic, MultixSaku
Something in the Mist: Sakura was a nobody. She had resigned herself to that fate. That was, until memories of bridges and old legends and reality began to blend. The ghost of Zabuza Momochi, haunting her, urging her on to take his title as one of the Seven Swordsmen. To take on and wield his famous blade, Kubikiribocho. She knew what had to be done. AU, Sakura-centric, MultixSaku, (possible ChojuroxSaku)
Cat Got Your Tongue?: Cat summons were more of an Uchiha thing, but that didn't stop Sakura from signing her name in the scroll she came across in Ame. But she quickly noticed something was weird about these cats. They were strikingly familiar and bore resemblance to dead members of a terrorist group long gone. (Just your totally cliché Akatsuki become cats plot that everyone's used a thousand times, but do I care?) AkaxSaku.
You Only Live Twice: When Sakura awoke, it wasn't to the sound of the white Zetsu army and the blood red moon hanging low in the sky. No, it was the ceiling of her room in Konoha. When she was twelve. It would appear Obito had made some minor miscalculations of his space-time jutsu. Perhaps living again wouldn't be so bad if she could save the ones she loved. Time-travel AU; Sakura-centric.
Jounin Fever: Kakashi really didn't like how his friends looked at his former student. Or how any guy looked at her for that matter. MultixSaku.
Seventh Samurai: The Haruno Family was well-known for having raised six generations of loyal and strong samurai. When Kizashi and Mebuki of the Haruno Clan had a daughter with hair as pink as cherry blossoms, their hopes of continuing the family tradition were dashed. But Sakura wasn't one to follow rules; just because she was born a woman didn't mean she couldn't be a samurai. AU, Sakura-centric, MultixSaku
New and not added to poll:
Wildfire: Inevitably, the chakra nature of a shinobi indisputably affects the course of their life. Life is very different in a world where a pink haired girl no longer has the healing nature of a medic, but a chakra nature blazing like wildfire. AU, Sakura-centric, MultixSaku
Ragtime: The 1920's was a glamourous, but terrifying time as Sakura was coming to learn. Especially with the sophisticated and dangerous new lifestyle she had somehow gotten herself into. That included being part of the most notorious speakeasy in the five major countries: the Akatsuki. AU, AkaxSaku
Kintsukuroi: Some things are more beautiful for having been broken. MultixSaku
Prompted: If you asked Sakura, she'd say it was the fault's of the idiots she called her friends. Short drabbles in which chaos of the readers choice ensues. MultixSaku
The Archives: The files shook in Sakura's trembling hands. It fell to the floor with a loud thud in the quiet bowels of Konoha's restricted archives. She pressed her hands to her mouth, eyes wide and focused on the name on the file. Uchiha Itachi. Sakura had just uncovered something she really shouldn't have, and as she looked at the thousands of similar files around her, she reckoned there was a lot more she didn't know about Konohagakure, her precious village. She paled. Sakura-centric, Semi-AU, MultixSaku
Beyond Death's Dance: She had always figured if she died in battle, she would wait on the other side for her loved ones to someday join her. When Sakura finally succumbed to death's dance, what she found on the other side was not what she had been expecting. Shinigami were supposedly a myth, but sometimes seeing is believing. NarutoXBleach, AU, Sakura-centric/MultixSaku.
Hidden Fire: The world knew about ninjas, and how they were tied to Japan, but no one knew about the Elemental nations. Shrouded in mystery, legend, and a magical barrier of chakra, the Elemental nations were hesitant to become part of the world, fearing they'd be persecuted for the rare ability to use chakra. But a certain nation with hair as pink as cherry blossoms and a spirit much like fire was unwilling to hide anymore. The world was in for a surprise. Sakura-centric, NarutoXHetalia, AU, MultixSaku, *name subject to change.
New and not added to the poll:
Across the Ocean Blue: And really, it should've been obvious it was a bad idea to let Naruto on a boat. Because, bad luck dogged Team Kakashi everywhere they went. A simple mission to deliver the Mizukage a scroll turns sour when an unusually seasonal storm hits and sends the members of Team 7's world into turmoil. In hindsight, Sakura should've never agreed to take that mission, she thought, as she stared at the boat The Going Merry and it's members who had just rescued her. NarutoXOnePiece, MultixSaku
The Seamstress: The Queen's Watchdog and his butler are on the prowl. Criminals, both new and old, are popping up across the country, all assassinated, and it's the job of Earl Phantomhive to find the person behind these vigilante murders. And with growing trepidation, he is finding that these deaths all have something to do with a strange pink haired seamstress in London. NarutoXKuroshitsuji/BlackButler, MultixSaku, Post Fourth Shinobi War, implied NaruSakuSasu
Lion's Heart: Kaori Saitō was an apathetic girl, but sang like a heart-broken lover. She said not a word, but saved him by speaking out. She pretended to not feel, but had the weight of the world on her shoulders. She was an enigma, a paradox that Shizuo Heiwajima couldn't seem to comprehend. She had a heart like a lion, and no one knew better. But, maybe it was better that only he could see her for all that she was. Too bad a certain information broker saw the same thing. Durarara! ShizuoXOCXIzaya
What you can expect from my stories:
Sakura Haruno. I am a HUGE fan, so if you do not like that, I suggest you click the back space button. Just saying. Although Kishimoto has not written her character nearly to the full potential she could be, I love how she's grown by leaps and bounds and I most certainly love how she can kick major ass now. I happen to also pair this girl with practically every character under the sun.
Detail. I pay attention to every detail, and tend to nitpick a lot. I am a perfectionist, and my slowness to update reflects that.
GOOD GRAMMAR. I am such a grammar Nazi, I am not lying. My friends have me read their papers for a reason. I cannot stand a story that does not have immaculate and clean grammar (obviously I don't mean minor mistakes, that happens to the best of us). Spelling and punctuation for me is key to making a good story; if it's bad it distracts away from what is being said.
AUs. Although I like Canon, it's sometimes easier to tell a story in a different setting. It really depends on what fandom and many other factors.
Slow Romance. Sorry, people. Love doesn't work in any other way. I like to show the process, and the struggles, the highs and lows, and everything in between. I'm a total romantic, and I believe in true love, and my stories will have that in it. Love is a journey, and I want to make the journey worth the ending.
Humor/Adventure/Romance genre. I'm an optimistic person, and more often than not, my writing reflects that aspect of my personality. I do dabble in other genres from time to time as well, though.
OC's. I know what you're thinking. "Another Mary-sue to add to the list." Weellllll, nope. I write fully fleshed out, real characters that actually fit into their rightful fandoms and make. sense. None of that, "She's the princess of snow wears leopard fur boots can control water everyone is in love with her her hair is sky blue fading into black and her eyes are pink." Nope, none of that. Just some reasonable, real characters who have their own stories, and who struggle like everyone of us.
Thank you for viewing my profile! Ciao! :)
