Author has written 33 stories for Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Supernatural.

Hello! I'm Ryah Ignis, and I have been writing fanfiction after I decided that I hated the endings of one of my favorite series. I became hooked, and this is the result.

Beware of guard dragon. He will eat you.

Harry Potter has taught me...

There are giant spiders in the forest that will eat you. Unless you are a friend of Hagrid's, in which case it will wait to eat you after monolouging.
You can't be a bad villian unless you value education.
Mothers love can save your children if you're Lily Potter, but if you are Molly Weasley, you must go after your son's murderer yourself.
Never go into a bathroom unaccompanied.
When your headmaster tells you not to visit the third floor corridor, don't. Unless you want to save the world.
Wizards have a bad justice systems.
Bugs are reporters in disguise. That's why you must squish them.
If a strange, hairy, tall man tells you you're a wizard, it's okay to go with him.
If your cat doesn't like a rat, it is a man in disguise and is not to be trusted.
Old wizards with beards have the answers to everything.

On Harry Potter

I've been a Harry Potter fan for a long time now, and I've been writing fanfiction for almost as long, since I was on about the fourth book.

Favorite Book: Half-Blood Prince. All the backstory was so wonderful to finally read about. It was the book where everything started to come together and make sense.

Favorite Character: I really, really like Neville Longbottom and Remus Lupin.

OTP: Drastoria. I don't even really know how it happened. I never thought I would actually write a romance, but one day I sat down and thought: "What kind of idiot would marry Draco Malfoy?" and then I started to write. I fell in love with Astoria's character and Draco's perspective because I got to point out some things that Harry wouldn't notice.

Other favorite pairings: I'm not a shipper; I just like what the author gives me. So, Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, Neville/Hannah, Luna/Rolf, Remus/Tonks. JK Rowling wrote it, so that's what happened and I'm not going to complain.

On Doctor Who

Honestly, I should know by now that large fandoms have a tendency to grab me by the heel and drag me down the deep, dark road of fanfiction, but I can't resist the pull. After months of being assaulted by images of bow ties, a weird blue box, and "Run," I just couldn't help myself. Sure enough, three months later, here I am writing a section for it in my profile.

Favorite Season: As of now, it's season one of the reboot. I just adore Nine.

Favorite Character: Sarah Jane, and the Ninth Doctor are tied, I think.

OTP: It took me an extraordinarily long time to adjust to the idea of Rose and the Doctor being more than friends, and now that she's gone, I can't really think about him having another romantic involvement with a companion, so I'll just say none.

Pairings: Draco Malfoy/Astoria Greengrass

Status: Complete

Genre: Romance, Friendship, Family

Summary: Astoria Greengrass is born in a world of blood, money and arranged marriages but yet she is different than other purebloods. Astoria Greengrass is a challenge. Then it's a good thing that Draco Malfoy enjoys a challenge, isn't it?

Other Notes: My longest story here so far.

The Games We Play

Pairings: Draco Malfoy/Astoria Greengrass

Status: In progress

Genre: Romance, Friendship, Family, Adventure

Summary: Where wrong is right in the eyes of the law. Where life is determined by the purity of your blood. Where Harry Potter is dead. This is the world in which Astoria Greengrass finds herself. The only person she can trust is Draco Malfoy-the one person she'd prefer never to trust again.

Other notes: The AU sequel to Many Things, exploring the route that both Draco and Astoria dreaded throughout Many Things. Voldemort won, and now things are just as hard for the pure of blood as anyone else.

The Complete Idiot's Guide to Being a Death Eater

One victor will be left to pick up the peices and fight for the rest of the Wizarding World's freedom.

Other notes: Don't read this. Really.

Hestia Jones and the Year With the Dursleys

Pairings: None

Status: Incomplete, may or may not be completed due to my muse.

Genre: Humor, Friendship

Summary: While the rest of the Order is on the run from Voldemort, Hestia Jones finds herself stuck baby-sitting what has to be the worst family to ever walk the planet. Will she survive what she thinks will be the most boring year of her life?

Worth It

Pairings: Draco/Astoria

Status: Complete

Genre: Romance, Friendship

Summary: At the end of the Battle of Hogwarts, there isn't much for anyone to do but pick up the peices. When Draco is sent to inspect the partially destroyed sixth floor, he might get a bit more than he bargained for. A series of unconnected Drastoria one-shots.

The Phoenix's Apprentice

Pairings: None

Status: Complete

Genre: Friendship

Summary: The friendship of Albus Dumbledore and Minerva McGonagall as seen through the eyes of Minerva. Albus Dumbledore may be dead, but he certainly won't be forgotten.

Other Notes: Written for the Yellow Rose Bowl Competition, I never thought that it would become the absolute monster in size that it is today.

Brother of Mine Gone Away

Pairings: None

Status: Complete

Genre: None, really

Summary: Alecto Carrow is one of the Dark Lord's favorites: Chosen to be a Professor at Hogwarts, she thinks she has it made. Other Notes: Where Theodore Nott came to prominence in my mind

Seamus's Speech

Pairings: None

Status: Complete...?

Genre: Drama

Summary: Snape killed Dumbledore. Every Hogwarts student knew it as they stared at their new headmaster. All it takes is a couple of words to spark rebellion. All it takes is one Seamus Finnegean. "Don't feed us lies, murderer!"

Other Notes: I might be writing a multi-chap including this scene.

The Hogwarts Express

Pairings: None

Status: Complete

Genre: None really, maybe angst

Summary: He's always done exactly what needs to be done. And if he knows one thing, it's that he can't let Rose Tyler die on Satellite 5. No matter how much it might hurt her, it's for the best. The last moments of the 9th Doctor.

Other Notes: My first Doctor Who one-shot, written in a desperate attempt to get over Nine. It didn't really work.

Fortune

Pairings: None

Status: Complete

Genre: Hurt/Comfort

Summary: The Doctor runs into a fortune-teller in 1936. Somehow, she knows exactly what he's been through.

Quotes

{So pick your head up princess, your tiara is falling.}- xXxVioletSkyxXx, Love, Me

It could have been you with the lightning bolt scar with a medal around your neck and a price above your head--xXxVioletSkyxXx

"Do you know like we were sayin'? About the Earth revolving? It's like when you're a kid. The first time they tell you that the world's turning and you just can't quite believe it 'cause everything looks like it's standin' still. I can feel it. The turn of the Earth. The ground beneath our feet is spinnin' at 1,000 miles an hour and the entire planet is hurtling around the sun at 67,000 miles an hour, and I can feel it. We're fallin' through space, you and me, clinging to the skin of this tiny little world, and if we let go... That's who I am"--The Ninth Doctor, S1E1 Rose

"I saw the fall of Troy! World War Five! I pushed boxes at the Boston Tea Party! Now I'm gonna die in a dungeon...in Cardiff!"--The Ninth Doctor, S1E3 The Unquiet Dead

"One day, just one day, maybe I'll meet somebody who gets the whole 'don't wander off' thing."--The Ninth Doctor, S1E9 The Empty Child

"Only a killer would know that. Isn't that right? From what I've seen, your funny little happy-go-lucky little life leaves devastation in its wake. Always moving on, because you dare not go back. Playing with so many peoples lives, you might as well be a god. And you're right, Doctor. You're absolutely right. Sometimes... you let one go."--Slitheen, as Margaret Blaine S1E11 Boom Town

"No! 'Cause this is what I'm gonna do: I'm gonna rescue her! I'm gonna save Rose Tyler from the middle of the Dalek fleet! And then I'm gonna save the Earth! And then, just to finish off, I'm gonna wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky!"--The Ninth Doctor S1E12 Bad Wolf

" Do you know what they call me in the ancient legends of the Dalek home world? The Oncoming Storm. You might have removed all of your emotions, but I reckon right deep down in your DNA, there's still one little spark left. And that's fear. Doesn't it just burn when you face me?"--The Ninth Doctor S1E13 The Parting of the Ways

"But it was, it was a better life. I don’t mean all the travelling and seeing aliens and spaceships and things. That don't matter. The Doctor showed me a better way of living your life. You know, he showed you too.You don't just give up. You don’t just let things happen. You make a stand. You say "no." You have the guts to do what's right when everyone else just runs away! and I just can't...!"--Rose Tyler S1E13 The Parting of the Ways

"You really wanna think about this. Cos' if I activate this signal, every living creature dies." "I am immortal." "Do you want to put that to the test?" "I want to see you become like me. Any day."--The Ninth Doctor, the Emperor of the Daleks S1E13 The Parting of the Ways

"Rose... before I go, I just want to tell you: you were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. And do you know what? So was I!"--The Ninth Doctor S1E13 The Parting of the Ways

"I, um, I address the Sycorax, um, according to Article 15 of the Shadow Proclamation. I command you to leave this world with all the authority of the Slitheen Parliament of Raxacoricofallapatorious, and, um, the Gelth Confederacy as, uh, sanctioned by the Mighty Jagrafess, and—ooh!—the Daleks! Future Stories

We Will Rise

Category: Harry Potter

Pairings: Morag/Seamus onesided!Padma/Michael

Genre: Friendship, Adventure

Summary: You've heard the story of Harry Potter. Maybe you've heard about the leaders of the DA, whose names live on in the history books, but there were always others. This is the story of the Ravenclaws.

Other Notes: The alluded to continuation of the one-shot Seamus's Speech, this one is completed on paper but not completely typed or edited yet so it might be a while.

The Running Man

Category: Doctor Who

Pairings: None

Genre: Friendship

Summary: When you take the Doctor's hand, he doesn't let go. Not really. Sarah Jane Smith knows this better then most. Several occasions after her time in the TARDIS crew was over that Sarah Jane met the Doctor. 9, 10 and eventually 11.

Other notes: The title is shamelessly stolen from Stephen King's book of the same name, which really does fit the Doctor.

Stowaway

Category: Doctor Who

Pairings: None

Genre: Friendship

Summary: Noun: an unregistered passenger; a person who hides aboard a ship in order to obtain free transportation.

Other Notes: Season 3.5, basically, exploring Ten and his two OC companions, mostly to make me better at original character development.
