Hermione's destiny is altered by the Powers that Be. She is cast back to the Marauder's Era where she is Hermione Potter, the pureblood fraternal twin sister of James Potter. It's ten years post war, and Severus Snape has healed. He is no longer the bitter and resentful man he was before the end of the war. *slightly edited 2018/10/14* I started writing the fic post OotP but pre HBP. It takes place three years after the Trio left Hogwarts. On Harry's 21st birthday, the final battle finally takes place, but Voldemort still has an ace up his sleeve to finally get rid of Harry - he sends Harry and his friends to the past and now it is up to them to find a way home and defeat Voldemort.

Time turners are dangerous devices, and awful things happen to wizards and witches who meddle with time. Or do they? An accident that leads Hermione back in time changes the course of nearly a dozen lives, her own included. Love where there was none before, hope where it was lost, trust where it had always been suspect. A young Gryffindor girl that wouldn't have existed before.

When Harry James Potter walks into Hogwarts for the first time, Minerva realises that she made a huge mistake in leaving him with the Dursley's all those years ago.
