I will admit to having watched Shugo Chara, Tokyo Mew Mew and a bit of Lucky Star but that doesn't mean I obsess and "fangirl" over them.
I play the piano and saxophone, both of which I enjoy immensely. I am a huge participant in drama, musical theatre and other activities that involve acting and singing. I strive to finish High School with the highest grades possible with small amounts of effort and see where the world takes me from there. I am a fairly young writer, not quite fifteen, so any advice is welcomed. Like most on this site, I am a lover of novels and other worlds. I also enjoy Jane Austen and Shakespeare on occasion. (A tidbit of advice on Pride and Prejudice. If you would like to watch the movie version then watch the one with Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth. Not the one with Kiera Knightly and Matthew Macfadyen.)
Some quotes for your enjoyment:
Mortal Instruments: (these were written by the amazing Cassandra Clare)
"Meanwhile," Simon added, "I wanted to tell you that lately I've been cross-dressing. Also, I'm sleeping with your mom. I thought you should know."
It was Alec who spoke first. "What's this?" he demanded, looking from Clary to his companions, as if they might know what she was doing there. "It's a girl," Jace said, recovering his composure. "Surely you've seen girls before, Alec. Your sister Isabelle is one."
"I suppose you don't have much time for enjoying music," Clary said, thinking of Simon, for whom music was his entire life, "in your line of work." He shrugged. "Maybe the occasional wailing chorus of the damned."
Jace's grin was a white flash in the darkness. "It means 'Shadowhunters: Looking Better In Black Than The Widows Of Our Enemies Since 1234.'"
Magnus raised an eyebrow. Damn, Clary thought, another one.
The carriage came to a jerking halt. Jem drew back from her, looking dazed. "By the Angel," he said. "Perhaps we do need a chaperon."
"I swear that woman had a previous career as a death-hunter selling tragic ballads down around the Seven Dials." Will said.
"You make me laugh. From the moment you hit me with that bottle." "It was a jug," she said automatically.
"Are you implying that shreds of my reputation remain intact?" Will demanded with mock horror. "Clearly I have been doing something wrong. Or not doing something wrong, as the case may be." He banged on the side of the carriage. "Thomas! We must away at once to the nearest brothel! I seek scandal and low companionship."
"Haven't you really any other novels?" "Not unless Lady Audley's Secret is that she slays demons in her spare time."
Percy Jackson: (This was written by the fantastic Rick Riordan)
If there was one thing I had learned from living with Gabe, it was how to tell when an adult has been hitting the happy juice. If Mr.D was a stranger to alcohol, I was a satyr.
I looked at Annabeth, daring her to criticize. She didn't. She seemed resigned to the fact that I had a major talent for ticking off the gods.
We went searching, and found him still playing Virtual Deer Hunter. "Grover!" we both shouted. He said, "Die, human! Die silly polluting person!'
But Thalia held out her spear. "You want some Seaweed Brain?" Somehow, it was okay when Annabeth called me that- at least, I'd gotten used to it-but hearing it from Thalia was not cool. "Bring it on, Pinecone Face!"
"Dreams like a podcast, Downloading truth in my ears, They tell me cool stuff." "Apollo?" I guessed, because I figured nobody else could make a haiku that bad. He put a finger to his lips "I'm incognito. Call me Fred."
A word about the writing tastes of the author:
So far I have only dipped into heterosexual couples, gender bends included, but I am very much a fan of yaoi and yuri. I am still pretty young and I don't have a beta so my writing isn't crystal clean. Any input, as long as it is helpful, will be taken to heart and I will do my very best to learn from it.
