Author has written 1 story for Smallville.
Well, if you're reading this, you either came here to find out more about the author, or you're here for the spoilers. If the former applies to you READ NO FURTHER, as it may limit your enjoyment of my story. If not, then by all means, damn the torpedoes and full speed ahead.
I decided to put this up on my profile rather than an addendum to the last chapter for two reasons: (1) to quell the temptation of finding out a little of what is going to happen before it actually does for those of you who are less than certain about whether or not you want to, and (2) to find out just how popular this sort of thing would be with you the reader. (Hey, this wouldn't be the first idea of mine to go over like a cement-encased lead balloon.) So, here we go...the future of Smallville: For the Love of Chloe Sullivan.
We're about a quarter to a third of the way through this story by my estimation, and this is where the Chlark romance side of things is going to really pick up. Chloe is going to have to deal with Oliver's death, now, and she will be torn between her grief plus what she sees as fidelity to her late husband and her growing attraction for Clark who is suddenly more available to her than ever before and offers consolation and escape from her pain. Clark has already begun to see Chloe in a new light (or perhaps a very, very old light) and will seem intent on pursuing her but at the same time does not want to drive her away as she sorts out her conflicts. Together, they will rediscover the bond that they once shared at the height of their friendship and build on that foundation even further. Time travel will be involved again as our two heroes travel back to Smallville, first locationally and then temporally. Chloe will get a second chance at several aspects of Clark's past that she missed on the first time around. Clark's 'episodes' will also become more numerous and frequent as time goes on as he tries to figure out what is happening to him and why.
Regarding Oliver's tragic demise, that one big loose thread still hanging out there will be dealt with as the identity of the assassins is revealed and more importantly who ordered the hit in the first place and why...and did it go down the way it was supposed to? Some clues--perhaps subtle, perhaps not--have already been provided in previous chapters, but all will be made clear before the end.
Clark and Chloe won't be the only ones going time-jumping. Events will provoke two Legionnaires to go on a fact-finding expedition of sorts that will lead to more revelations about what Clark and Chloe have been up to since the time that corresponds to the end of the television series up until the beginning of this story.
Connor Hawke will discover that he, too, has his own path to destiny that he will have to take, and far from being just a tag-along or extra, he will play a pivotal role in the coming conflict. Kara Zor-El will eventually return to Earth and join the main cast of characters in the story. Darkseid will also make a personal appearance well ahead of the arrival of Apokolips and even provide a few revelations about the past, present, and future of our heroes demonstrating that seemingly disparate events are more connected than our heroes originally thought. One such revelation will cause our heroes to believe that there is a traitor in the ranks of the Legion and to further complicate things: that person may not even be helping Darkseid knowingly much less willingly.
Finally, this story is going to visit a few noteworthy locales before all is said and done, including: The Fortress of Solitude, the streets of Metropolis, Star City, and perhaps even Themyscira. But, the most exotic locations didn't even make the hardly exhaustive list just given. I guess you'll just have to wait and read all about it as it comes. Hope you stick around.
5/15/2013. I can hardly believe that a whole year has passed since I began posting the first chapters of my first story to this website. Truthfully, I had hoped to have finished at least two to three more chapters, by now, than I already have. Got sidetracked by the real world (hate when that happens) and decided to stay awhile. To be honest, I've hit a severe case of chronic writer's block. It's strange. I have page after page of material for future chapters already written down and all of the chapters outlined right to story's end. Just a couple days ago, I was watching a TV program on DVD that inspired me to write a whole new scene to be inserted into a future chapter that will fit in brilliantly with the rest of the story (not to mention gave me the idea for my next story) and I finished writing that after only several hours. But, the words to tell this part of the story where it is right now are difficult to find and are coming only sparingly, reluctantly. Still, I could not let this milestone pass by without giving some kind of update, even if only in the form of a few-sentences-long progress (or lack thereof) report. Not to worry. I haven't dropped off the map, and another update will be coming, hopefully sooner rather than later.
