Here's a little info about me:
I'm currently a university student studying IT - specifically software development. Like many fanfiction writers I am of the female denomination, and live mostly as a hermit in my own room. This is only a small selection of the fanfiction I've written; I used to write under a different account, but then I said to the world, "Sorry, I'm giving up fanfiction forever". It was only two years later that I discovered that it was quite a big mistake to give up something I loved so much, so here I am, back again.
I have a boyfriend whom I haven't quite yet told I've gotten back into writing fanfiction, namely because I'm terrible at showing people IRL what I write, regardless of content. He'll probably Google my username and stumble across this profile eventually, however, and so if that happens, hi. :P
All I seem to write at the moment is DP fanfic, however this fandom is honestly dying. It's barely a shadow of its former self; back in 2007, when I initially entered it, it was wonderful. Seriously, to all those readers and writers who never got the chance to see it in its heyday, you have absolutely no idea what you missed out on. I miss it terribly, and I wasn't even on board during the first (and apparently the best) wave the fandom saw. Danny Phantom used to be a pillar of an online community, and it makes me so sad to see it all come to this. But, alas, all things must end.
In light of that I am thinking about branching into newer fandoms, at least when a majority of my current stories are done and dusted. You'll probably see some Supernatural, Doctor Who, Sleepy Hollow, Pokemon and maybe even a little bit of Discworld, if I feel so inclined.
When it comes down to it, I just hope I can entertain some people, and improve at the same time. Just that would be peachy. :)
Where you can stalk me:
Currently Working On:
Status: Completely active. So far I've been updating once every five days but don't expect that sort of schedule to continue on forever, because 4 - 5,000 word chapters take quite a while to write down and edit - the only reason I can do that now is due to the fact I'm not at uni for the next few weeks. It is currently being updated in tandem with Strings and Things, so until that finishes releases will alternate. After that, alternations will exist between Layman Scripts and Amity Park, City of Headaches.
Chapter Lengths: With the exception of the beginning chapter, chapters will all have a minimum of about 4,000 words. This minimum may increase to about 4,500 - 5,000 words later on. It is currently unknown what the rough length of the entire story will be, however I would be unsurprised if it hit around 15 - 20 chapters.
Strings and Things
Status: Completely active. Updates will alternate with Layman Scripts until this story is done. As with Layman Scripts, my freer schedule as of late means that updates will be coming through quickly, accelerated by the fact that this story consists of only a few 2,000 word chapters.
Chapter Lengths: With the exception of the beginning chapter, chapters will all have a minimum of about 2,000 words. This minimum may increase to about 3,000 words during actual writing. The rough length of the entire story will be about 6 - 10,000 words total, with one smaller introductory chapter and three even secondary chapters.
Oneshot Twoshot Redshot Blueshot
Status: Active whenever I feel like writing oneshots, which isn't often these days. Due to the nature of oneshot collections, it is unlikely that this will ever be put on permanent hiatus unless I leave the DP fandom entirely, or I die. ... I really hope that last one doesn't eventuate. D:
Chapter Lengths: Variable, depends on the oneshot.
Currently on Hiatus:
Amity Park, City of Headaches
Status: Non-permanent hiatus until Strings and Things is complete. Not long to go now. :) Will remain in the active stories rotation thereafter until completion.
Chapter Lengths: Current minimum of about 2,500 words, will probably increase to 4 - 5,000 due to my level of patience going waaaaay up. The rough length of the entire story is probably going to be around a total of 15 - 20 chapters, although anything could happen.
Forever a Phantom
Status: Non-permanent hiatus until Layman Scripts is complete, so the wait might be a while. Will remain in the active stories rotation thereafter until completion (which could be forever and a day). Sorry for the ridiculously long wait, to those who were following along beforehand!
Chapter Lengths: Current minimum of about 3,000 words, but that is basically guaranteed to increase, most likely exponentially. The actual length of the entire story is horrendous, so it's going to be a really long ride. I have basically 0 idea how many chapters this will work out to be.
The Story that Reared Up and Attacked
Status: Permanent hiatus. Sorry to anyone who was reading, but I just don't have the energy to finish this anymore and I wrote it when I was a bit of a different person. It's like I can't break back into it. :( At this point most people have probably forgotten about it anyway, so I figure there shouldn't be too much sadness in letting it go.
Chapter Lengths: N/a.
Lightning Rod; An Ethical Nightmare
Some Notes: This has to be one of my favourite stories. There was something that felt really powerful about it when I wrote it (both the previous and rewritten version), and the response I got seemed to indicate that feeling was right. Thanks to everyone who read, reviewed, followed and favourited!
The Origin of the Ghost Writer
Some Notes: So it turns out I alternate between using Ghost Writer and Ghostwriter as his name between stories. *guilty look* I'm not sure why, one day one feels more comfortable, the next the other does... ughr. Although with that said I know "Ghost Writer" is technically correct. Anyway, this was something I originally wrote and never finished rewriting, so I'm glad to have it done now. Even with that said, there's some things I would go back and change now, already. *sighs* I guess it's one of those things I'll never be 100% happy with.
