I am a fan of far too many fandoms to name and have been using fanfiction.net for a LONG time. It was my first introduction to the world of FanFic and since then I have been addicted. Good job guys you hooked me! I read fanfic like a hardcore gamer plays games. Take a look at my favorites, I will be editing them every now and again but they show you what I like. Mostly I love a good EPIC story and have pretty firm boundaries, like I don't like SLASH or any of that in my stories but if I somehow got one in my favorites it's because it is truly great. Mostly my Favorites are stories I have read or am planning to read and don't want to loose. The ones that stick around are the good ones so you should check them periodically. I write FanFic, not good, but not horrible. Mainly I don't post them because they are my versions of stories that others have posted and one little thing I didn't like. i.e. a pairing is changed around or the basic premise is kept but I go on my own tangents. I don't post these mainly out of respect to the authors who originally came up with the idea's so I don't steal them. Also because I don't think they are very good. I mainly write those for my own enjoyments and not to post. I have so many idea's for stories that I am constantly writing new summaries for all the time, but never actually get around to writing. I find I personally have no patience to sit down and edit my own stories and rewrite them. I want it done right the first time. This of course never happens. The stories I do write are the good parts of what obviously needs to end up being an epic length fic. I have favorites like everyone. I like SuperHarry! Independant Harry! Mary Sue, Time Travel, Soul Bond crossovers. Pretty much anything in almost any fandom, so long as it is well written. I have only in the last year or so gotten introduced to the wonders of Doctor Who Series 1-7. Unfortunatley like the original Startrek I can not watch the older episodes because of bad acting. Honestly I used to get strained muscles from laughing so hard at Kirks over dramatic acting! The same thing happened when I rewatched Macgyver and saw his mullet. Also I am pretty sure there's only two or three episodes in the whole 7 seasons where He didnt get a girlfriend or save a kid from something. Besides I love modern technology and special effects. I'm not bashing the oldies but the more modern are just my prefence. Another new fandom for me is the Walking Dead. I am obviously a Daryl Dixon girl, and have since discovered that I had seen Norman Reedus in many things and had thought him awesome but had never recognized him. Blade 2 anyone? I also decided since I loved him in this show I would finally try the Boondock Saints. Obviously he rocked my world. I recently picked up the Boondock Saints 2 on Bluray for $8 (A bargain) but refuse to watch it until I have number 1 as well. I love a good River/Jayne Firefly fic! They are so awesome together and there have been some amazing stories about Rayne to come out on this website. I hate that they cancelled it. The show was one of the few I had actually seen from the beginning when it came out on tv. I was crushed. Seriously Joss, a space western, based around the Chinese culture? Both genius and wacked out. He sure made it work though. |
