Author has written 1 story for Hunger Games.
I'm Sarah, 18 years old and from Germany. I'm shipping Hayffie all the way, I love The Hunger Games and everything that has something to do with it.
I have to thank every single of my very lovely readers for the beautiful reviews, you totally make my day and encourage me to keep on writing.
I wish you all the best, and may the odds be ever in your favour.
Well, and I just wanted to answer some of those Hayffie-questions I found on tumblr.
What got you into Hayffie?
Well, I learned to love both of them, Haymitch and Effie. Especially Effie. And then one day I found this little story on tumblr... just a few sentences about Haymitch and Effie kissing. And I was like "What, Haymitch and Effie together? Oh, my. I would have never even thought about that!" ...well, a few days later I decided to reread the books and I found all those little reasons for us Hayffie-shippers to be so much in love with them. And this is why I'm sitting here in front of my computer, crying because I love Hayffie more than my own life.
The Hunger Games - book or movie? Discuss!
Well, I love both of them. I think book and movie are very different- and yet similar. Everyone who was working on the movie did a great job, and they really tried to keep the whole thing as close to the book as possible. So, I do prefer none of them. I just love them, both of them. But I think the books are full of Hayffie moments- just as the movie, and I literally can't wait for Catching Fire, I think I'll just die.
What is your favourite Hayffie time-frame? (e.g. pre-books, post-MJ)
Uhm... everything. No, seriously. There are so many versions of Hayffie, and I love every single one of them. I personally think they've been in love for a long time (at least a tiny, desperate bit), but they never wanted to admit it.
Headcannon: What colour is Effie's hair?
Headcannon: What is Haymitch's Victor's talent?
He's just smart. Smarter than the others. ;)
Headcannon: Pet names for each other? (Besides Princess… of course!)
Awww... well, I like Haymitch calling her Effs, Eff or something like that. And of course he calls her sweetheart. And she will either just call him Haymitch or something like darling, dear etc.
Headcannon: Is Effie actually short for something?
It could be. But I don't think so. I think Effie is the perfect name for her, and it's a very Capitol name, too.
Headcannon: Do they live happily ever after?
Hm... well. I... think they... hm. I can't decide. On the one hand: Yes, of course. On the other hand: happy endings are not the thing Suzanne Collings likes, right? And she's the one who owns Effie and Haymitch's characters. And Hayffie is kind of too dysfunctional to live happily ever after, so... I do like both versions, although one of them is very heartbreaking.
Certain things get written about all the time - which clichés do you love?
Every single one of them. 'Cause they're romantic.
