Author has written 4 stories for Mass Effect, Ironman, X-Men: The Movie, and Big Bang Theory.
Heya. I am me, and this is my bio. Apparently. Not necessary, but possibly interesting. Depends entirely on you, I guess.
Several points of possible interest; Proudly Australian, proudly a nerd, (of the anime/gaming variety. There are several types of nerds, you see. I've discussed the differences at length with my nerd buddies.) proudly a cynical pessimist, proudly unique, proudly (though with sporadic regret) left school at sixteen, proudly own my own business, proudly a brunette who shall never dye her hair, proudly a her. Yeah. Take that.
Foibles; Overuse of extensive vocabulary, (apparently it's annoying.) propensity to be easily distracted, as lazy as someone too lazy to come up with an analogy of a lazy thing, fairly obsessive, generally apathetic.
So, that's a quick overview of the often contradicting oddity that is me. Obviously there's more to it than that, but I shan't bore you all to death. No, I have something much more better in mind...
Anyway, as some of my foibles suggest, I will in no way be a reliable updater, despite my best intentions. Though I will say in my defence that I am always writing, just not always posting, so any story I post will be completed, it just might take a while.
Incidentally, incentive works wonders. Id est, review, comment, flame, criticize, show interest, anything. I am partial to drawings/pictures, but I realise that they take time and interest, so I won't expect any. I'll just ask for them.
And one final note about my stories; I can't write a story without an OC. I know that some people don't like Original Characters, but I find I'm more comfortable using canon people if they're reacting to someone new. Deal with it.
- A short 'Mass Effect' one shot that immediately entered my head after clearing ME3. It's title, 'Bar At The End Of The Universe' is taken from the Douglas Adams book title, 'The Restaurant At The End Of The Universe'. This will probably be the shortest thing that I ever post, as I'm not in the habit of writing oneshots/drabbles. But I had to write it down, and I figured I'd put it up to be criticised. So have at it.
In The Works
'The Big Bang Theory' - 'The Inadvertent Catalyst' - An unsuspecting young woman is about to be thrown into the path of a handful of socially-challenged scientists. Not entirely socially savvy herself, she seems to fit right in. That is, until a romantic relationship is in danger of blooming. OC/Sheldon
You may have read some chapters of this story on another site. If so, don't worry, I am the original author, TopShelf. Just thought I'd put my story up here, see what kind of feedback I get.
'Doctor Who' story, 'Remnants'. - The Doctor stumbles across something impossible and can't quite bring himself to leave her behind. Will one more companion make a difference at the end of all things? Eventual Doctor/OC
'Iron Man' story, 'Pandora's Box'. - Living in silence, hidden away from the world, patiently waiting to be freed. She never could have known just what she was getting herself into following after the man in the iron suit. Strictly Movieverse Tony/OC
'House M.D.' story, 'Maybe Never'. - You only ever get one first of anything. Some people don't even get that... Wilson wants her love. House just plain wants her. Who'll take the blue ribbon? House/OC/Wilson
'Lord Of The Rings' story, 'Sinnarn', which is Sindarin for 'novel tale'. - Before The War of the Ring, Gandalf made a journey into a forgotten forest and befriended a strange creature. She is later a member of the Fellowship, and may just change the path for some destined for darkness. OC/???
'Thor' - 'Let Me Belong Here'- Summary to come. Still working on the idea. Well, I have the vague outline, but I'm still fleshing it out.
'X-Men Movies' - 'Trembling Hands' - An unassuming young woman with the power to hold a completely feral Sabretooth at bay who may or may not have ties to a certain Wolverine? Queue one nigh genocidal headache, and Victor Creed is interested. Pretty sure OOC Creed/OC/Logan Movieverse
Another completely Movieverse story, thanks to my lack of comic book access. The idea's been kicking around in my head since the release of the first X-Men movie, and only now have I decided to put it into words and see what happens. Although, I have to admit, Liev's portrayal of Creed did give me a heck of a lot of inspiration.
