Author has written 3 stories for Legend of Zelda.
Hello! :) My name is Just-AWESOME-old-me, or Awesome for short. How are you doing today?
So, currently I don't have much written here, but I have a LOT of shorts in my documents. Little tiny things that either A.) are completed but I absolutely loathe but put too much time into to just delete, or B.) are not complete, and whenever I TRY to complete them that little voice in the back of my head starts taking over saying "Oh what your writing is horrible! And what you WROTE is horrible! You're going to have to rewrite the entire thing! And then it will STILL be horrible!"
So now I'm trying to get myself together and just POST stuff so that maybe I could get some actual constructive criticism (or something to boost my writer's ego, haha) so that I don't have to feel bad whenever I write something.
So until I actually feel good about my writing, there's only going to be one-shots here, haha.
But I do have this one story for this site in mind. A whole bunch actually. One series would have four books in it, another two, and the final only one. And they'll all connect to one another in a final book. Very simplified to avoid spoilers (if I actually write that da--darn thing), but it's been in my head since 7th grade, and it's evolved into something that I know will succeed if I could just WRITE IT. Ugh!
This is supposed to be a profile, not somewhere where I could rant, haha. XD
So I'm a 15 year old girl and a current sophomore in high school. And I'm a huge Zelda geek. Been that way since summer of 6th going to 7th. Before that, I really liked the series, I just wasn't OBSESSED with it like I am now.
Fun fact! I always thought that when I was little video games were fun and not necessarily something very important to me, but I recently found this paper we had to do in second or third grade (I think it was third), where we had to come up with our own totem pole (we were learning about the Indians/Native Americans) with traits, and I had something like "Thoughtful, kind, smart, video games, funny . . ." or something. I thought it was hilarious, haha! XD
What else? I love puns. :) Ohh, let me think of some that I've said . . .
Background knowledge: we were in chorus, and the teacher just told us to get out a song called "Candy Cane Lane," and the first line of the song is "Just a hint of peppermint and everything begins to FEEEEELL LIIIKKKE CHRISMAAAASSS!" Okay, so, I was talking to a friend, and I said "It's not even Halloween yet and we're singing about Christmas!" and she said "That's choir for you--months and months of preparation--" and I immediately cut in with "Months and months of PEPPER-ation!!!"
I got a kick out of that one. Everyone else just kinda groaned, haha.
Oh! Another time at home, me and my mom were talking about silly stuff, like painting my dog's nails, for example, and I said something like. "It wouldn't be possible, he'd get paint all in his fur and on the floor . . . WAIT! It wouldn't be PAW-ssible!!!"
Ah, I love it! XD
Okay back to Zelda.
So I am a huge geek. I actually just went to a Symphony of the Goddesses concert November 4th. I own an ocarina, I plan on getting a double next summer when I have a job (along with the Switch and BotW on it (I'm getting the Wii U version on the release date, the Switch version that summer (assuming it comes out in March (hopefully it does)))), I also plan on getting a whole bunch of posters and clothes for myself, haha. You know, the works.
Other fandoms? I was in the Percy Jackson fandom. Actually, that was my first fandom. Ahh, 5th grade. I found out about fanfiction because I was waiting for the Lost Hero to come out in the school's library (a new classmate of mine got it before me . . . I was so jealous XD) so that I could finally read the Son of Neptune . . . which was the second book in the series that I got before the first . . . and I read some of it before realizing this and PERCY HAD LOST HIS MEMORY AND HE WAS IN A ROMAN CAMP LIKE WHAT EVEN AND ANNABETH WASN'T THERE BUT HE REMEMBERED ONLY HER AND AHHHHHHH!!!! So yeah, that's how I felt, haha, and this classmate was taking FOREVER to read it, so I just said "screw it!" and went online to see if I could find a summary of the Lost Hero so that I could find out what happened to my adorable Seaweed Brain! And guess what I found instead? A fanfiction, a fanfiction of someone's interpretation of what the Lost Hero could be back before it came out. And I. Was. AMAZED. Like people gathered up online and wrote stuff about Percy Jackson? SIGN ME UP!
So the story was on a website called FanPop, and I would use my mom's computer, my brother's DSI, and our Wii to read, write, and comment on this website. And I'm pretty embarrassed about it now. I was this . . . this 10/11 year old who was overly hyper and could not spell to save her life (didn't help that I was on the DSI for most of the time XD). Sometimes I'll go back . . . and cringe heavily. XD And sometimes feel really, really happy, and tear up a bit. Because people were so gosh-darn nice to me!
But anyways, if you're really THAT interested . . . my username was rock4ever and Im_rock4ever. Read at your own risk. XD
So why am I here and not still there? Well, the website got a lot of updates and it no longer worked on my DSI, and I didn't want my mom to know that I did this (for obvious reasons--she still doesn't know XD) so I couldn't use her computer, so summer of 5th grade going to 6th I searched for a new website to take over! And I found this place. So that's why my username is so absurd. I was a hyperactive 11 year old who couldn't think of a good substitute for "little" so she put all caps "AWESOME" haha.
So I used to read all the time, up to the point that most nights I was staying up until 2 in the morning reading fanfiction, so if you go to my favorites . . . yeah. XD If you're bored, there are definitely some good things in there, so check it out, haha.
Oh, and why don't I have some more awful stories written on here? Well, I was on mobile, so I could not for the life of me figure out how to post a story. XD I almost left this place to find a place where I could post stuff (because this place is WAY different than FanPop, and I didn't like it XD).
So how did I get into the Legend of Zelda fandom? Well, I was really bored on summer day, and I had just recently replayed Twilight Princess (another long story . . . this thing is getting pretty long though so I shouldn't tell it. Maybe later, haha), and there was NOTHING in the Percy Jackson section of this website, so I thought maybe I could go to a different part. Just for fun, it's not like I could ever ABANDON my precious Percy, now could I?
Then I read something for the Zelda fandom . . . and oooohh my. It was love at first site.
And then the following summer Zelda Wii U was annouced . . . and here we are today, over three years later. Good times, good times. XD
So this turned out longer than I thought it would? I've been working on this for over an hour. -.- I doubt people are even going to see this, why did I work so hard?? XD So I'm going to cut it here, and maybe add, you know, ACTUAL profile stuff someday. For now this is good, haha. So if you made it this far, feel free to PM me! I love making new friends. See you! Have a nice day! Bye-bye!!!!!!!
