Nope, I’m still not dead. I’ve been working my butt off in every way shape and form - but I’m not dead! Sorry if I’ve ruined your day.
I’m not writing as much as I’d like to - that sort of thing does tend to happen when one has a full time job - but I am writing.

Pen name: I was reading Patricia Cornwell’s book Portrait of a Killer: Jack the Ripper Case Closed (I highly recommend it) and when I came across one of the main suspect’s hundreds of aliases –“nemo”– I liked the word enough to stick “solus” in front of it, slap my knee and call out “Bob’s your uncle!” At the time I was in the self-loathing phase everyone goes through, thinking that “only no one” had to be the coolest pen name in the world. I stick with it because I happen to be very fond of the book I nipped half the pen name from.
About: “Hello, good evening and welcome to another edition of Blood, Devastation, Death, War and Horror, and later on we’ll be meeting a man who does gardening. But first on the show we’ve got a man who speaks entirely in anagrams….”
“And what’s your next project?”
“‘Ring Kichard the Thrid’”
“‘A shroe! A shroe! My dingkome for a shroe!’”
“Ah, Ring Kichard, yes… but surely that’s not an anagram, that’s a spoonerism.”
“If you’re going to split hairs, I’m going to p_ss off.”
(Monty Python’s Flying Circus, ep30. “Blood, Devastation, Death, War and Horror.”)
Biggest dream: becoming a novelist.
Favorite things to write about: anyone with a distorted view on life, modern “art”, humility or the lack of it in the world, personal adversity, the supernatural.
Favorite villain: Severus Snape always and forever, though toward the end there he redeemed himself but I like me an evil!Snape better.
Sylar from the television series Heroes. I love his depth as a character even though it’s not yet being explored to the best of the writers’ abilities, but I suppose that leaves the door open for all the rest of us. I just hope I can do the guy some justice.
Tunes: Radio (Milwaukee’s FM102.1 - Independant. Alternative. Radio)
