Inspired by Ovid's Metamorphoses and the story of Pygmalion, the man who created a statue so beautiful he fell madly in love with it. Hannibal sees the work of art that waits to be uncovered beneath the layers of fear and doubt which cloud Will's mind. As he subtly works to transform the unstable man into something much greater, he marvels at Will's potential in his dreams.

Might be a challenge when he finds out who that is. Then there's the matter of a sadistic serial killer who is cruelly picking off Alpha-Omega couples who don't neatly fit into their traditional roles.

The 1st epilogue to "Expectations" - reading that first is recommended but maybe not necessary. Absalom Holmes has inherited John's heart and Sherlock's curiosity. Not the easiest combination of traits when it comes to dealing with big changes and the harder facts of life. Mycroft receives a tip about John, who has made himself scarce after the Fall. What he finds has the potential to render Sherlock's mission a no-win scenario. Sherlock left something behind before he fell from St. Bart's. It's the one last thing John has left to really live for and the odds are not in his favor.
