![]() Author has written 3 stories for Naruto, Kuroshitsuji, and Attack on Titan/進撃の巨人. Update 15 NOV 2019 First of all, sorry for the long hiatus, honestly it was not my intention. But, the site was inaccessible through my PC and I can only use the app to review works that I read, even now I'm accessing my account through a outside wifi, so it's very inconvenient. I was thinking of moving completely to Ao3, some of you has found me there (it's the same username--so it shouldn't be hard to find) when i finished my stories, they will be posted there, I might announce it later. But for now, I'm working other things, See you guys later. Thank you for those who still liking and reviewing my unfinished fanfics. You guys brighten my day when I received the notification emails. hehe. See you guys, on the other site! 5 Dec 2016 An Author's Note I posted on Unexpected Ally chapter 6 moved here. First to reviewers of Unexpected Ally with the same doubts (read their review, it got points): Some of you are pretty sure shinobi can handle titans from the very first time they appear— I'm not really sure about this. One, they just finish a war, the Big 5 vs. Akatsuki/Tobi/Madara/Kaguya, which took place mostly in the Land of Frost, that's between Lightning Country and Fire Country. Their retreat strategy in canon was to fall back to Fire Country should anything happen, therefore I speculate that they have a lot of supply planted there to accommodate thousands of shinobi (probably injured as well). So, the war was finished; they won. My guess was that most of their remaining forces retreat to Fire Country to receive medical attention and well deserved rest—it wasn’t as if they expect some high level threats. Consequently, when the titans came a mere week later, the previously evacuated citizen in each country roam around again without their main protection still on their way back or recuperating elsewhere and become the main course of gigantic monster of unknown origin, with skin almost as thick as any Bijuu, seemingly able to regenerate any part of their body. Sure they've got protection detail; but if they're anything like konoha, it means their only protection against the new danger is genin squads, which is not the most competent of the bunch, if the war gave any indication. (Do you realize just how unprofessional they were in the war? Those chunnin and Jounin? We only saw some action when there's a leader among them, in other words, important characters in the series. Other than that, it was as if they forgot that they're all ninja, capable of thinking on any tight situation, manipulates supernatural energy called chakra, use their immediate area to their advantage, move to almost inhuman speed, etc. instead they mostly stood frozen unable to think or move as their enemy attack them and when godly opponent appear, they be slaughtered and have to rely on important characters to save their hide.) Next point of concern, as I said in chapter 2 or 3, I forgot, the titan only evolve when they consume certain amount of chakra, like 10 Jounin for example to reach class one. It doesn't mean that the titan must specifically eat 10 seasoned Jounin, no, it was just estimation made by those sensory type ninja. The titan might have to eat a hundred genin or a thousand civies to make the estimated amount or some combination. And you must not forget that shinobi do exist outside the big five, those small countries that do not have a leader called kage, not to mention missing nin or monks. They do not join the war, in fact other than the Big 5 shinobi, only Samurai of the Iron Country joined the war, these titans have loads of food source, who are inexperienced, and must go through trial and error just to get the conclusion that the titans' weak point is their nape. Those trials and errors are expensive; it cost their comrades' life. And if you must, the shinobi's main danger is another shinobi, another human, with human flesh with the exception of few clans with interesting bloodlines, so, their weapon is not customized for rubber-skinned titan, I doubt shuriken and kunai have any significant effect on them. They don't produce the same will-cut-through-titan-blade as Onion Country. They developed them though (similar in sharpness only), don't worry, but only recently in comparison with Onion Country who had titan problem for centuries now. So there, these are my excuse. If you want to disagree with me, please provide canon references, not fanon (where you get the idea that all shinobi must be as great as Kakashi) so I can understand and build this story better. Some addition to reason with some reviewers: () Ninja is much much faster, with jumping skill akin to flying. And kawarimi of course. - the jounin and chunnin from the other hidden village might have, in their arsenal, jutsus and techniques to permanently kill the titans. Some exceptional genin even can do it. The rest of the genin, not so much. One, unsuitable weapon and two, small chakra reserve. They do have the skills...to flee; or if they have paper-bombs, yeah, can't really forget about that--the question is, for how long? They do have civilians to protect, which the number far far exceed shinobi population, some village might outright abandon their home country if they see that they can't probably stretch their force to cover, say, land of rivers, or big, populous towns in Earth Country and Wind Country. So yeah, these titans don't deserve a speck of chakra, but this is my story, I always try to be as rational as possible, and when that's not enough, oh well, no one can please everyone. () Shinobi is fighter that targets critical points with deadly accuracy--when that doesn't work, or fail to reach their spine--take a chunk of it-- due to weapon's shortcoming or something else, they might assume titans are almost invincible. - thank you for pointing this out, to give a chance for this logic to sink in, try to imagine the attacks happen in area as wide as Europe, a bit bigger or smaller (whichever you prefer), communication will be hard on the chaos, until they decide just to hell with it and use over-kill technique (opposing their tendency to converse energy--because "shinobi is one who endures") to get rid of them, resulting in dead titans, but with their energy depleting more quickly. Addition point I just realize: () titans body is lighter than they seem, but with skin thick enough, the humanity has to forge special blades. So I tried to imagine titans is like thick rubber balloon filled with water (blood) and marshmallow, and the common blades in elemental nation would work like a children-safe plastic knife on the balloon. Well, dispute me. Update 12/10/ 2016: -Role Playing in the Mafia World Status: abandoned--Deleted 1. Why should you review a story? copied from 'Tremor230'- Writers- all of them, from famous authors to subtle FF writers- ALL depend on the feedback from our readers. Vision Dominican brought up an interesting albeit tragically true idea: "Lack of reviews is the greatest killer of fan fic writers out there. We at the institute wish to let the public know of how they can pitch in to save our dying writers. 1) Drop a review every other chapter. It may not seem like much, but reviews are actually what many of us want to see. That, and hits. Hits do make us happy but we don't really know if people like our story or not. 2) Visit our author page. Those kind of hits really make us happy. It's where we showcase our entourage of friends, beta readers, and stories. Some of us even tidy up with set areas for upcoming story ideas and character bios. 3) Send a PM. While normally I'd prefer a review, PMs are just as good. Really, it warms my heart to communicate with another reader or writer." What you call being "too lazy to review" is what we call "a flame to the pages" as the writers. That one minute or two that you felt "too lazy" to review is another minute of creeping discouragement that all writers feel as they begin to think... "Why am I even here…?" "What's even the point of continuing?" "My skills must be terrible…no one cares for my story…" "I'll never be a good writer...I quit." These are only a few thoughts that go through every writer's head- that go through MY head- when we put out a chapter / story with all our heart and soul within, and we sit there…and sit…and wait…and not a single person says even a word. If you're not a writer, you have NO IDEA how much that hurts… If you ARE a writer, then I'm sure you know just how great it feels when someone is kind enough to leave a heartwarming and encouraging review, and you read it, smiling while thinking…"Hell Yeah!...I did it…" So, why not give fellow writers the same luxury here? Too many times I've seen epic and utterly beautiful works of literary art fall to pieces before finally being abandoned due to the terrible discouragement that the lack of reviews can cause. Sometimes, it is so severe that the very writer himself decides to quit, denying the world his skills of writing that I'm it would have deeply enjoyed. So… Just one minute, that's all it takes. Just a few gentle taps of the fingers on your keyboard, a few seconds or so of your time, and your words can SAVE a writer from a dark demise. Do me a favor: Go find a story, ANY story, anywhere here on , and see if you can help it. If it has very little / no reviews at all, just check it out, and say whatever comes to mind. And enjoy the thought in mind that you could have just SAVED that story, with just a few taps of the keyboard… If you agree with what I have said then please copy and paste any part of this story you wish onto your profile. Modify it in any way you see fit; there is no need to use my exact words. You make it say what you want it to say.
