Author has written 4 stories for Hunger Games, and Harry Potter.
1)I am beginning to think the title of one of my stories - The Story Of Lily Evans, which I have yet to get my teeth into - has a bit of a cliché title. If anyone has any ideas, PM me.
2) OMG... I've just finished reading Legend, have ordered Prodigy, and I am certain it's going to be my new obsession (The one before was Enjolras/Eponine (I mean, she deserves so much better than Marius), and before that it was the wonderful Benedict Brothers series (But seriously, what the hell was up with Crystal? After someone so brave and admirable like Phee in book two, I didn't want a angry, sappy little - uh, well, not so much 'little' - madam ruining the story. Why did she have to be Xav's soulfinder? Why? I was kind of hoping Sky would have a long-lost sister or something...) and before that... Hey, was I still obsessing over the Hunger Games then? Hehe. I guess Les Miserables lasted much longer than I thought, then. Oh, wait! Before that I had read Magic Flutes, by Eva Ibbotson, and mourning over the none existance of Maxi (Was I the ONLY ONE hoping Tessa would marry him, instead of Guy, even though she didn't love him and he loved Heidi? Well, they were engaged, but then he got Heidi pregnant... I mean, when did that happen? One second they'd just met, and liked each other, then about two weeks later Nerine's engaged to Lord Frith (Awful name) instead of Guy because he conned her into thinking he had no money (What was up with that?) and he's hoping to marry Tessa, only she's engaged to'her prince', as Guy calls him, but then Heidi, sweet, INNOCENT Heidi get's pregnant, they cut it off and Tessa is suddenly in love with Guy, and I'm left confused. WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN??? But anyway, I found Maxi sweet, and Guy was just... Guy. Whoa... I went on about that for a while...). Excuse my looooooong ramblings, but I love books. I'm simultaneously reading The Morning Gift, another of Eva Ibbotson's young adult romances, and Quin reminds me a lot of Guy. I don't even like Quin, I'm rooting for Heini, who clearly get's rejected judging by the blurb... And then I went on wikipedia, and read a bit of the summary of The Secret Countess (I know I shouldn't, but it was sooooooooo hard not to resist) and Muriel sounds a lot like Nerine, Rupert like Guy, and Anna like Tessa. It almost sounds like the same story, as Anna was a countess, and Tessa a princess, but both chose a life of work. They're great stories, but I'm just saying. And come to think of, why do I always support the rejected love interests? Is it because there are always two types, and one kind is always picked, and I happen to prefer the other? It's not intentional, as I like them before I find out who picked them. Out of weirdness, or that's how you'll percieve it anyway... :-D I'm going to make a list. Both male and Female love interests, btw.
1) Heini (The Morning Gift)
2) Maxi (Magic Flutes)
3) Gale*1 (The Hunger games)
4) Cho*2 (Harry Potter)
5) Jacob*3 (Twilight)
6) Will*4 (Divergent)
7) Catcher for Gabry (The Dead-tossed waves) and Elias for Annah (The Dark and Hollow places). And it just had to be the other way round... But poor Annah when she saw Gabry and Elias... He abandoned her and I thought the excuse: 'I felt too responsible for you' (what?) was lame and just plain contradicting. I mean, if you feel guilty about her scars and such, you don't 'kiss her better', give her false ideas about your feelings, then leave her to fend for herself. And THEN turn up three years later with her TWIN SISTER as your girlfriend. I would have adored Elias if not for what he did to her. I kind of hated Gabry for that as well, even though she did apologise and was really nice, I guess. But what really gets to me is Elias didn't even apologise (Not really) and she just forgave him. And jumped out of a balloon into the dark city to SAVE HIM AND HIS NEW GIRLFRIEND, RISKING HER LIFE. Well, she did eventually flip off at Catcher about it all when he rejected her because of his infectedness (I know, not a word) but I would be punching Elias until he was screaming for mercy. Anyway, in the end, I was kind of glad when Catcher showed Annah some proper love in the end, but I still felt the rejects were being paired off...
And by the way... After reading those books, I had zombie nightmares for about a month, but it was well-worth it...
There are two lucky exceptions. In Inkheart, I adored Doria, because Farid just abandoned Meggie, and he stayed by her side all the way through. All the through Book 3, at least... Hehe. Though does it really count, as everybody thought she would choose to travel with Farid? There WAS all that build-up...
In Maximum Ride, I chose Fang, simply because Dylan was a pretentious jerk. I don't even care that Fang abandoned Max. Sometimes I even wished there was a bit of Miggy...
If you read all of that, you deserve a medal.
3) I'm considering trying to write a FictionPress! It's not totally decided, but... Watch out for me!
Well, I have an essay to write, so...
See you soon!
*I know, wtf, but hey, it's the best I could think of.
*1 Do not flame! I'm Team Gale and proud.
*2 Again, don't flame! I'm not saying I dislike Ginny - in fact she is great - but it just seems a bit random that Harry chooses her, despite her always beingn taken with him...
*3 I don't actually like Twilight! I just know I dislike Edward from skimming through the books.
*4 Yes, yes, there wasn't even a hint of attraction between them, but I adore Will, and Christina is just too... Christina, for him. And I DID cry when he died. I DID. I am NOT ashamed. I cannot believe they killed off Will. They always kill off my favourite characters... Finnick and Clove in the Hunger Games, Tonks and Bellatrix in Harry Potter... The list goes on... *Sighs*
