Author has written 7 stories for Harry Potter.01/02/06- I wrote and read fanfiction a year or two ago. I was very obsessed and all that. Then, the obsession subsided. I got on with real life and all that. Recently, however, I've found myself sucked in once more, bringing with me a nice piece of fanfiction, written by yours truly.
All fics on my Favorite Stories list are truly the cream of the crop. I kid you not. I am a harsh critic when it comes to this stuff. Most of them are light and humorous, but I expect you'll see a wider variety soon enough. I've got hoards of fics saved up to read on a rainy day.
My new fic is entitled "The Wasteland", and was inspired and based on the poem of the same name, by T. S. Eliot. I hope you like it, but don't take it so seriously just yet. There is a lot of drama in it, but also a lot of romance, humor and action mixed in. I've tried my hardest to save myself from writing fluffy, ridiculous angst filled romance pieces in which Draco becomes good and the world is all rainbows and unicorns until Hermione cuts herself. You know, that sort of cliché bullshit. Now, I hope you enjoy. It was written post HBP and is attempting to be as canon as is bloody possible when you're trying to add a Draco/Hermione romance to the fic. It is all I write and read, after all. And the romantic in me is still refusing to believe that they won't run off together and have beautiful babies with Draco's coloring and Hermione's features. We've all got to dream, eh?
And, if you must, read the other stuff I've written. But you've been warned. It's not very good. I was rather young when I started it all, and I must say, far too much of a daydreamer/hormonal teen for my own good.
Oh and please go read "The Draco Trilogy" by Cassie Claire now, or you'll be smited, the lot of you. It's an essential read if you call yourself a Harry Potter fanfic fan. It may be a bit long, but she's made her Draco the Draco we all aspire to write, and that, I must say, is an incredible feat. He's genius. Pure and utter genius.
Be gone, and review, minions.
