Thanks for dropping by! I've always liked to write and here I can share what I write and, hopefully, get feedback because of it. I write whenever I have the time and the inspiration to do so (sometimes those two are very hard to combine). When I write I work with scenes - meaning that I can start in the middle, or with the end, and then fill in the rest - it complicates things at times. I'm not focusing on one fandom as I love to write about a lot of TV-series. I did a cartoon once, because I wanted to try it, but my work will mostly be found in the TV-series section. Disclaimer; Since I'm writing fanfiction I do not own any show, cartoon or movie that I write about, nor do I own any recognizable characters associated with the shows, movies, cartoons etcetera. I'm not writing for profit and I certainly don't gain any money from this. The only thing I get out of it is happiness and joy from creating new scenarios for loved characters. //If you like something that I've posted, please review and tell me. It doesn't matter when you review; it can be years after the story is posted, a review still makes me happy ;) Feel free to tell me whatever you like, just be decent and honest in your comments. I do try to get the grammar and spelling right but please keep in mind - when you read my stories - that I am not a native English speaker. I'll specify some of my favorite TV-series below (alphabetical order), together with the favorite character(s); Alta Mar (High Seas) - First Officer Nicolás Vásquez, Chicago PD - Sgt. Hank Voight, Crusade - Captain Matthew Gideon, CSI NY - Mac Taylor, Dallas - Bobby Ewing, Dynasty - Farnsworth Dex Dexter, Eureka - Dr. Nathan Stark, Heartbeat - PC Nick Rowan, Sgt. Dennis Merton, PC Joe Mason, Holby City - Owen Davis, Joseph Byrne, Henrik Hanssen, Miami Vice - James 'Sonny' Crockett, Stargate Atlantis - Colonel John Sheppard, Major Evan Lorne, Stargate SG-1 - Jonas Quinn, Starsky and Hutch - Starsky, Star Trek - Captain James T Kirk, Star Trek Deep Space Nine - Weyoun, Star Trek Discovery - Captain Gabriel Lorca, Captain Christopher Pike, Star Trek Enterprise - Commander Shran, Lieutenant Malcolm Reed, Star Trek Voyager - Commander Chakotay, The A-Team - Colonel John 'Hannibal' Smith, The Flying Doctors - Capt. David Gibson, Capt. Sam Patterson, Capt. Gerry O'Neill, Capt. Johnno Johnson, The High Chaparral - Manolito Montoya, The Orville - Captain Ed Mercer, When Calls the Heart - Leland Coulter WORK IN PROGRESS; Chicago PD - The Darkness Within At first I decided this show was too dark for me to watch but I got drawn into it and I loved the character dynamics. I really have a love/hate relationship with the enigmatic Hank Voight. Some of the things he does is well...but mostly he's a great guy and he's what the Intelligence needs. I couldn't really find any good whump stories with Voight so I decided to write something up. I love how it turned out. Chicago Med - The Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions I love Connor Rhodes and liked what he and Robin Charles had. In my opinion that was the best seasons of the show. I got a little lost after the end of season 4 when Connor left all together and I am not all that interested in the show now. I wanted to tie up some knots that was left out in the show with this story. Miami Vice - Shadow Play *ON HOLD* will not be picked up anytime soon. //Spring 2018 I discovered the 'dynamic duo' Crockett and Tubbs and I loved them, the humor on the show, the wits and the fast pace. The trouble for me is to write a good story that is true to the show but I'm working on it every now and then. Summary: Set somewhere in season two. A meeting with a drug lord goes awry and exposes Sonny and Rico to great danger King Arthur (movie) - A Simple Mission *ON HOLD* will not be picked up anytime soon. I've had this on my computer for a very long time. It is unfinished and perhaps I shouldn't have posted it but I wanted to share it and thought it might push me into finishing it. Summary: The rumors of the great Commander Castus and his Sarmatian Knights have reached Rome but not everyone is happy about it. Bishop Bentorious is dismayed that a bunch of savages from the South, who doesn't believe in God, have become so well-respected by their commander. He travels to the north to convert them or destroy them and neutralize a threat but Britannia is a dangerous place Dynasty - Family Matters *ON HOLD* will not be picked up anytime soon. //I watched Dynasty a long time ago and I am sure I am not the only one who was disappointed by the last episode and, more importantly, how it was wrapped up by the Reunion. That is why I've decided to try and write some kind of continuation. I have to warn you though - I am a hopeless fan of Dex Dexter. I hope you stay tuned for this ;) Summary: The famous balcony scene is only the beginning. This set off where the show left us - with Alexis and Dex falling, with Blake getting shot, with Fallon and Krystina trapped. The series of events unfolding leads to crisis within the Carrington, Colby and Dexter families. It brings back familiar faces, some long lost and some recently departed. The treasure creates a rift between family members and old feuds are awakened as the past comes back to haunt them. DRAFTS: (I might never finish them) Stargate Atlantis - Message from Home //I am blaming this entirely on 'When Calls the Heart' and seeing the familiar face of 'Major Lorne'. Takes place after EATG and simply ignores the books made after that. This is my take on what happened after Atlantis landed on Earth. Don't know if I'll finish it, don't know if I will post it even though I would love to return to this fandom. The Orville - A Matter of Life and Death As it sounds really. Poor Ed is in trouble in this one. The Flying Doctors - Unnamed //I remember seeing the wedding between Johnno and Rowie for the first time and the disappointment afterwards. I really would have liked to see a relationship between them. So I need a "fix" on that. Crusade - Journey to the Forbidden //I accidentally found the show when watching a sci-fi channel and it managed to get my interest. I was disappointed to know that it had been so short-lived. The continuation just begged to be written. The main character here is Captain Gideon and it deals mostly with his problems. I started with this only to put it aside and start another one. The Flying Doctors - Visions of the Future //I was so sad to watch Gibbo die at the end of season one and a little confused by the gap between the first and the second season's plot. What happened to Sharon, Dave's dog Zeppelin, Debbie, Joe and the rest? It just begs for a gap filler to be written ;) CSI NY - The Target //I started this in spring 2012 but then real life caught up with me and I left it unfinished. Summary: What begins as a typical case suddenly takes a turn for the worse as the team finds themselves as targets by a new killer. The question is, can they find out the true identity of the murderer and find out how he/she seem to know so much about them before it’s too late. FINISHED WORK; Airport '79 - The Concorde - The Conclusion For some crazy reason (I can't explain why) I really liked the movie and I loved the chemistry between the characters. There was so much potential left unexplored. Then there was the fact that the end is...well...the story doesn't end. It has bothered me for quite some time that we don't know what happens afterwards. This is my take on that ;) The Flying Doctors - Goodbye Cooper's Crossing What made Sam and Emma leave Cooper's Crossing altogether and how did it happen? I enjoy fixing things and I needed closure to this, as it was something the show never explained properly. The Flying Doctors - When Past and Present Collide I really enjoyed writing this story as I've always wondered why and how Gerry left Cooper's Crossing. I was sad to watch him go. He had so much unused potential. It didn't hurt that he was good looking either ;) The Flying Doctor's - Small Steps of Recovery I felt there would have been a lot of conflicted feelings to sort out after the episode 'Fifty-two Hours Straight' so I took the opportunity to do a little gap-filler. I love what it turned into and had so much fun writing it, especially the bicycle competition ;) Stargate Atlantis - When Time is Up (full story) It began with a one shot called "When Time is Up". As I reread it, I wondered - What happened before and after that particular moment? Basically I challenged myself to try and make a full story out of it ;) When I began I had a fairly good idea where to go but along the road it changed direction and turned into something else entirely than I had in mind. Lani Nadim was the smart one and Katan was obviously the bad guy. As for Dadan, Rackie and Sha - they just appeared and got essential in helping me to finish the story. As for Askula; I never thought I'd find her. Carson was given in this since it was based on the much shorter story with the same name but Teyla, Rodney and Ronon's part of this became larger than I intended from the beginning. Anyway, I loved how it turned out! Stargate Atlantis - The Report Seriously, I don't know what possessed me to write it. I wondered about all the paperwork that we never actually got to see in the show. Also, at the time I was troubled with the character Woolsey. I kept thinking about the EMH in Star Trek Voyager for a long time. Anyway, I figured that I needed a B-story in this since it would be boring just to have them write their reports. Then there was the fact that I can't write formal stuff. I wanted to give each of the main characters their own time in the spotlight and explore their feelings, show the differences in their personality and how they dealt with trauma. Let's just say that it got very complicated and tricky to write. It took me seven years to finish the story! However, now, as I look back upon it, I'm glad that I managed to complete it. Stargate Atlantis - Losing the Leader I was sad to see Elizabeth Weir go. I really enjoyed her in the hot seat, manning the expedition. The chemistry between her and John was great. I think that they both loved each other in their own special way, they just didn't admit it. He listened (mostly) to her unlike other leaders. In a way she saved him when she demanded his presence on her expedition. I wanted to write a little something about the grief it caused the team to lose Elizabeth plus I wanted to bring Keller into the story and have her reflect upon her future in Atlantis. I'm not a hundred percent pleased with it. I might rewrite it sometime. Star Trek TOS - The Babel Conference I've been a trekkie for almost as long as I can remember but I've never had the courage to write anything about this iconic show. I love the dynamic between Kirk, Spock and McCoy and I finally gave in to my desire to write a continuation of the episode 'Journey to Babel'. I'm a hopeless fan of Kirk hurt/comfort stories. Star Trek Discovery - Out of Time, Out of Place Captain Lorca is a fascinating character and I'd love to see the "real" Lorca return. This story will show how he's forced to cope with everything that has happened while he's been away. When I started this I didn't know Captain Pike would appear in season two or that Admiral Cornwell would die so I had to redo and rethink this story to make it compatible with canon. Star Trek Discovery/Strange New Worlds - The Connection I wanted to tie Discovery and Strange New Worlds together in this one. This was written before ST-SNW launched and decided not to use the character Boyce and some other bright officers from the bridge of the Enterprise the writers of Discovery came up with. Anyway, this work was greatly influenced and inspired by one of my favorite TOS episodes - "the Empath" I intend to fill this space with thoughts and stuff around finished things... There, now you know a little bit about me ;) //gluegirl56 |
