Author has written 3 stories for Lord of the Rings, and Sherlock.
I have been a lurker on FF for years now and I finally went ahead and got an account. I am hoping to improve my writing habits and actually finish some of the projects I have sitting around.
I am a girl between the ages 18 and 38.
I am a Traditional Roman Catholic.
I was home schooled and loved it.
I am Pro-life and I believe that the so-called 'woman's rights' everyone is totting are degrading and not liberating. Unborn woman have rights too!
I read and write in a variety of fandoms including: Doctor Who, Sherlock, NCIS, Sherlock Holmes, The Chronicles of Narnia, and Lord of the Rings.
For somethings I am pretty flexible as far as cannon goes, but I do tend to get worked up over LotR at times. There is some fandom stuff that I love and some that I put up with for the sake of a good story. I'm alright with bending things and making up stuff to fill in gaps. I will read a good AU and sometimes even go looking for them.
BUT there are somethings I can't stand. To name them all would take too much time and cyberspace but if here is one thing that will likely tick me off and make me leave a story before I am tempted to write a very uncharitable review it might very well be this:
1) Ignorance or blatant disregard of geography. There is a very nice map drawn up by the professor himself, if you don't have the book get it or at least google it! (take special note that Mirkwood is on the opposite side of the mountains as Rivendell, the Shire, and the area that Aragorn would patrol as a Ranger)
There will likely be more to add to that one but I had to get that short rant out after my latest encounter with it. I mean really how hard is it to look at a map?
Thanks for stopping by, Ritta
