Author has written 29 stories for CSI: New York.
I've been totally hooked on the fanfiction site ever since I discovered it by accident about five years ago. I've been writing tv related stories since I was a kid, including some pretty crazy ones that I did with my friends, where we would write a section that finished with a cliffhanger or ridiculous moment, and then pass it on to the next person. (I still have some of these, and they really make me laugh.) Anyway, after University, life got in the way and I stopped writing the stories, but I didn't realise how much I had missed it until I started reading the ones on this site. Now, at last, I can jump right in and give back some stories as a major 'thank you' to all those who have given me so much enjoyment!
I'm a great one for obsessing about certain tv programmes, and certain characters, but here are some of my current favourites and all time greats:
Top of the list - CSI NY and Adam Ross. I was so glad when they renewed it for Season 9 that I danced around my work when I found out (no one else was there, luckily). I just love the intelligence, and the warmth, and the team dynamics in that show.
Also: CSI - Greg Sanders
Leverage - especially Elliott, but I really like the whole team.
NCIS - Tony Di Nozzo
Dark Angel - Logan (see above - one kind of stemmed from the other) and Alec (Jensen Ackles is good in Supernatural too.. As is AJ, of course!)
Merlin - the best thing Britain has had to offer in ages.
Grimm - a new discovery!
Old Favourites - kind of like a comfortable shoe that you can slip on when you need it. Here are just a few of them...
Firefly, The Big Bang Theory, NCIS: LA, Diagnosis Murder (Jesse - ah, bless him), Stargate (Daniel), Stargate Atlantis (Dr. Beckett), Hercules (Iolaus), The Mentalist, Deep Space Nine (Garak, oddly), Voyager (Tom Paris), Warehouse 13 (which is by DVD only in this country, as is Leverage. Sigh.) My first love was Dirk Benedict in Battlestar Galactica and the A-Team. I also liked David McCallum in the Man From Uncle, but it was hard to find any of those on tv when I was a teenager. In fact, I gained much of my tv taste by watching re-runs or reading tie-in novels scrounged from memorabilia fairs and various bookshops.
Of course, my addictive nature is always up for a new fix when the next good show comes along. But I do love CSI NY. Because, let's face it, Geeks Rule. (Or, as Hardison would say, "Age of the Geek, baby.") And I seem to have developed a real fondness for quirky lab rats...
As well as obsessing over tv characters, I also love reading, writing (obviously), drawing and making fantastical one-off items. My current huge project is a textile steampunk airship, complete with crew. Why? Just because it popped into my head, and refused to pop back out...
My job is looking after children at an out of school club. So basically, I play for a living.
OK, waffle over. Enjoy the stories!
