Announcements:

Great news! I have completed the first draft of "Watching Over You"! It is not currently completely on this site; I am waiting for my beta to get back to me. I am super excited! I would love any constructive criticism. I appreciate all the compliments, but I also seek to become a better writer.

This means that I will only be working for poetry until I get a new idea. So if anyone has any suggestions, they are also welcome!

I am working on a project of writing a poem for as many parables from the New Testament as possible. If you have a parable idea I haven't done, please PM me! They are marked with two stars (*).

I just deleted a couple of things, sorry if you liked them. Finding Aslan was among one because I realized that I'm never going to finish it because I never had a plan with it. Don't be sad though, there are pleanty like it. :) Also, I deleted, "Why Is Love So Hard?" This is NOT because it got negative reviews, it's because I say the same thing in a different poem more clearly and God has given me the tools to conquer it. :)

Hello, I'm Jesusfreakauthorgirl17 or JFgirl for short. If you're here, I'm guessing you read one of my stories and liked it (I hope!) Of course, I really don't know. Anyways, welcome!

Name: Jesusfreakauthorgirl17/JFgirl. I already told you that!

Fictionpress account: http://www.fictionpress.com/u/854440/jesusfreakauthorgirl17

Age: 717.395 :P

Gender: Um, can't you read? It's in my name!

Hair/eye color: Why do you care?

School/Work: Get lost.

Versions of the Bible I Use: NIV from 1984 and NLT

I do not publish these stories only for praise, I consider this a source to help me increase my writing skill. Please, point out my grammatical and punctual mistakes, I can always get better. I may not always use the advice, but I always appreciate it. Thank you!

What do I believe? Jesus is the Christ. (I'm an evangelical christian, but I love hearing other points of view)

Who am I as a person? I would say someone who loves to help if she can and always have an open ear. You are free to PM me and as long as it's appropriate, I will respond. I try to respond to irritating situations with grace, but I admit that I don't always succeed.

What do I do for fun? Read. And write. And read and write and read and write. And latch hook and practice calligraphy. Play piano and sing. And talk to friends. And read and write.

Who are my favorite non-christian song artists? ...

Who are my favorite christian song artists? Rebecca St. James, Britt Nicole, TobyMac, Matthew West, Jason Grey and others.

Favorite School Subject: Well, it used to be choir but it is currently extrememly stressful so not so much. I still really like English though.

Favorite Books: The Bible, Warriors series, The Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The unicorn chronicles, Ranger's apprentice series, Wizard of Oz series, Fablehaven, Graceling and it's companions...

Favorite Movies: Soul Serfer, anything VeggieTales, the movie versions of the Chronicles of Narnia, LOTR, The Hobbit (SO funny to hear everyone's reaction to the end of the second one), The Little Princess

Favorite Bible Verse(s): Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

Proberbs 23:19 Be wise and set your heart on the right path.

There are many, many more...

Other Favorite Quotes:

“Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and hoping the other person dies.”

“Whether you think you can, or think you can’t, you are right.”

“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.”

"My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

"One may sometimes tell a lie, but the grimace that accompanies it tells the truth."

"You will not be punished for your anger. You will be punished by your anger."

"Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated."

"To be wronged is nothing unless you continue to remember it."

I didn't include who said what because A) I don't know for most of them. B) They're true no matter who said them.

I didn't write a single one however, I just typed them into my computer! No credit claimed!

A quote that makes me want to cry:

"If it weren't for Christians, I'd be a Christian." (Again, I didn't write it, see above.)

Enjoy my stories!

This is a notice on why I do not post "copy this on your profile if..." thingys:

a) I don't always agree.

b) I don't need to copy something like that on my profile to love my dad or whatever. (I love my dad, but copying that is just not required and shouldn't be!)

c) In the cases where it says, "If you believe in Jesus Christ, copy this onto your profile. DON'T IGNORE THIS, because in the Bible it says: 'If you deny me, I will deny you in front of the Father.' So be considerate." That is true that it is in the Bible, but just because I don't post whatever-it-is doesn't mean I am DENYING God.

This is a fanfiction song I wrote. I can't find a category, so I'll just put it here. It is based on the song, "I'm Proud to be an American." (I would be proud to be an American except my country is so messed up right now I can't really be. I would be proud if we were still based on the Constitution!) So I wrote this. I don't know if anyone could actually sing it to the tune of 'I'm Proud to be an American," but it's based on the lyrics! And if anyone has any ideas on what category I could publish this as a fic under, please share them!

I'm Amazed to be a Christian

If tomorrow I lost all my friends because I love Jesus

And I had to start again with no one but Him on my side

I’d still thank Jesus for the things He’s done

‘Cause the Bible still stands for truth and they can’t take that away.

And I’m amazed to be a Christian; I’ve been given my freedom

And I won’t forget the One who died to give that life to me

And I’d gladly stand up for His name and defend Him always

‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love my God. Thank You for everything!

From the plains of Africa to the tropics in South America

Across the towns of Europe, from sea to shining sea,

From Asia over to North America and Australia to the Middle East

Well, there’s joy in every Christian’s heart

Who appreciate His love.

I’m amazed to be a Christian; I’ve been given my freedom

And I won’t forget the One who died to give that life to me

And I’d gladly stand up for His name and defend Him always

‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love my God. Thank You for everything!
