Author has written 18 stories for Digimon, Legend of Zelda, Star Fox, and Sonic the Hedgehog.
Hello to those who've stumbled upon this unique profile!
Who Am I?
- I am a 23 year-old male equipped with a BSBA in Marketing and Logistics.
For any who are interested, check out my Tumblr page - the name's pantasticwonder.
I stumbled upon this website back during Christmas of 2008. It was when I was skimming through the TV.com forums for Family Guy – a show that I use to adore back in the day – when I spotted a site for an author that’s now inactive. That site led me here, and to a whole new world of reading.
During the years of 2008-2011, I branched out into fandoms that I was interested in. What began with Family Guy became Chowder, then Regular Show, then a bit of Les Miserables. Fast forward to my freshman year of college - also in 2011 - where I started to re-connect with a show from my childhood – Digimon. I spent that whole academic year reading a lot of good and bad fics, and during the summer after my freshman year, I officially began my journey as a FanFiction writer.
In my first year, I stuck with Digimon, along with Legend of Zelda – a game series that I grew up playing. After that, I started to have a craving for Sonic – and now I'm writing stories for it in the fandom.
…And that’s where I’m at now. I’m strictly into Digimon and Sonic the Hedgehog, while bouncing around other fandoms from time to time.
As of now, I have four projects that I'm currently working on: two that have been in the works, one that won't be published until it is completed, and one of my old works that will undergo revision.
Digimon 02: Revision -- Digimon -- 17/29 chapters done (Chapter 18 about 5% completed)
Getting To Know Your Other Self -- Digimon -- completed on 10/17/2015!
Under One's Control -- Digimon -- completed on 6/11/2014!
Once these projects are more written out, they'll be updated. I do plan on finishing these stories during the summertime; it'll just take a lot of motivation for me to do that! Wish me luck! :)
UPDATE (3/4/2015): Welp...two projects down! My new story is up and will be updated throughout the month. Expect releases of "Getting to Know" within the next few weeks once I'm done revising old chapters / written new chapters out!
UPDATE (5/18/2015): Besides an update on my profile, an update on my life should be given...just graduated and now job hunting. So writing's been on the backburner once again. Hopefully this summer will be kind to me and allow me to write the way I was when I first joined...
UPDATE (8/26/2015): This summer has come and gone, and while it was a busy and stressful one for me, I've been getting back into the swing of things within my craft of writing and reviewing. I have published a new one-shot that is a rewrite of one of my older stories that have since been deleted from this site.
UPDATE (10/17/2015): So...life has been going great for me at the moment! I recently got a job, and that's been alright for me so far, but most importantly - now with a steady job and a place to call my own - I've finally gotten back into writing. Not only have I recently published two one-shots (with the possibility of one more on the way...), but if you look at my 'projects' that I've been working on, you can see that I'm done with one of my long-running multi-chapter projects! Only one more to take on, but that won't be until later on down the line...for now, I'm focusing on revising Getting to Know, and then releasing the new chapters soon.
...And I hope that y'all have been enjoying my Paint "masterpieces," if you can call them that.
My Stint on Reviewing
I, IrishPanther, do solemnly swear to review all the fics I read, regardless of the number of reviews, its age, or anything else.
I have joined the review revolution.
This pledge comes from a forum that I frequently visit (more on that below). At times, I follow this pledge with ease, while at other times it seems like an enormous chore.
I see reviewing as something you should only do when you have the intention to do it right. I love giving criticism to stories, to see what works within the realm of your story and what could help your story out in terms of SPAG. I love receiving criticism, for it is with it that we improve vastly as writers.
Reviewing, to me, is a lot like writing; we suck at it the first time, but over the course of time, we get better as we find our own pattern to review. Let it be known that constructive criticism =/= flaming.
If you ask me to review your story, there is a good chance that I will do it. Again, it depends on the time that I actually sit down and review.
...Oh yeah, if you come across a troll fic, don't review it. Please. You'll feel a lot better.
My Stint on Favorites
My favorites so far have been stories that I enjoyed reading.
Some favorites come from the authors, whose stories that I favorite are some of the better authors that I have seen throughout my time on this site. Other favorites come from stories that I enjoyed within my fandom.
If you are looking for something outside of my fandoms, there is a good chance that these authors might have something in store for you.
Forums I Visit
I am a temp!mod for The Reviews Lounge, Too (RLt), so you can see me frequent that forum a lot. I also spend my time over at the Kelviniana (Sonic forum) and, as of recent, The Writing Virtues. These three forums are the ones that visit more than anything else.
I have spent my time with Digimon 02: The Clash of Love, Digital Connections, Hylian Tower, and The Council; over the years, however, I have grown far from those forums. Maybe another time, I’ll come back and visit.
And that's all you pretty much have to know what's going on in my world! Until next update, whether story or profile, Pantastic wishes you a glorious day, or evening, or night...whatever the case may be! :)
