Author has written 4 stories for Labyrinth, and Movie X-overs.
The door attempts to open, but a sign with a broken string --perhaps it had been hanging on the door handle-- keeps it from completely opening. Muffled swearing is heard, then a figure dressed in a white, tailored outfit squeezes through the small gap.
"Blasted sign," she mutters as she massages a shoulder muscle. Giving the offender a vicious kick, she sends it into a corner. Opening the door fully, the one-who-looks-vaguely-like-Northstar hauls a very heavy backpack into the room. Kneeling down, she rummages through it, finally producing a small, thin portfolio.
Looking around, she stands and flashes a brief smile.
"Ohayo, minna-san!" she chirps, then opens her portfolio. "It's been several years since I last produced an update. By now you have probably realized that I have cleaned house!" She gestures in the general direction of a large scorch mark in the center of the room.
"And you have probably realized that Haldir is no longer around." This last is said with a low growl. "Well, we won't go into that: let's just leave it at the fact that I ended up on the wrong end of a bet," the new Northstar sighs.
"Among the things I have been up to: 1. Totaled my car.
2. Had for fork out money for a new one (i..e. Mortgage my soul)
3. Still paying medical bills for knee injury resulting from said accident.
4. Deleting several old stories.
Well, I know I had a few fans of some of the deleted stories, but after spending some time lurking in the hallowed halls of OFUM and rediscovering my love of Star Wars novels, I have pretty much come to the conclusion that most of my earlier works were dreadful 'Mary Sues'.
Ergo, I have deleted said stories, and after some drastic rewrites might put them up again. Currently however, the only story I am working on once again is 'City of Shadowed Hearts'. Don't look for it any time soon, though. I'm putting it through drastic re-editing and rewriting. And a little re-scripting as well." Northstar shuffles through her papers.
"The Traitor's Luck 'Diviners and Goblins' arc is pretty much in it's grave. Due to poor plot-planning on my part, it is doubtful it can ever be resurrected. Re-incarnated possibly, but not resurrected. I am aware that the series was popular with quite a few people, so I will leave it up. "
After flipping through a few more pages, Northstar shrugs. "And that takes care of most of the items on my list. As I put the re-writes up, I'll be adding more information here. And for those of you wondering if I'll be getting a replacement muse for Haldir: well, that's up in the air right now. I've got my eye on a candidate, but corralling him may be a problem."
And with that, Northstar walks back out of the room, leaving her backpack sitting right next to the scorch mark...
