Author has written 12 stories for Sonic the Hedgehog, Phineas and Ferb, and Ninja Turtles.
Who am I? - I'm me! (per Vanessa Doofenshirmtz in Phineas and Ferb)
I'm currently a University student, hence the long time lapses between posting stories, and I have loved writing for quite a number of years now. I do bounce around a bit in terms of the franchises I write for, but if I start writing for them or drawing them it means I like something!
I heard a quote once by Cyril Connolly and I think it is a good writing moral too: "Better to write for yourself and have no public, than to write for the public and have no self". Although I do still very much value the opinions of others. I will gladly take any constructive criticism, as more often than not it can make future stories better :)
I also love feedback because it can give great ideas. I've gotten some of my recent posts and ones yet to come from other Fanfic users who have given me feedback and suggestions :)
I also have a DeviantART account if anyone wants to find me there as well, the stories I post here will be there as well. Also I have a fair amount of artwork on there and if someone does have a request I might be able to try and draw it :)
My only real rule for my story writing is that I will hardly ever, if at all, post something without it being finished. One-shots will be finished of course, but I do have a couple of multiple chapter stories that I'm working on and they will not be posted until they are finished. This is because I will often look back at a chapter and think it needs re-writing, or I might want to add something later on. Sometimes I've also said something in an early chapter and then it doesn't fit later on and I'll need to change it so yeah.
In Secondary school they always told us if you start, you finish, so I try to apply that to my stories. If I think that something isn't working, then I'll just rewrite it. Although when I finish them is a different matter entirely!
What do I like? - Lots of things! Like I said above, I generally go bouncing around from one thing to the next, but if there's one thing I want people to know about me, its that when I fixate on something, I FIXATE on it!! I can get kinda obsessed with what I'm into. Part of my personality is to find out as much information about what I like as possible, which I suppose is a good thing, 'cause it means I can write accurately.
As a brief kind of idea of what I'm into:
Sonic the Hedgehog - Has been and always will be my number one guy. Admittedly he's been pushed aside quite a bit by other franchises I've liked, but I try to stay as up to date as possible :) He was the first real character that I started writing and drawing, so I can thank him for that. He got me into writing and drawing, so thank you Sonic :)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The one I've most recently got into. I was never really a fan when I was younger, though I may have watched the 2003 series when I was growing up once or twice. When I went to university and moved into Halls in first year, one of my friends bought me a 2012 Turtles poster as a joke, but it hung up on my wall for a good few months and I still have it :D Ironic though that all the while I had it I never paid it much attention, but when I had to take it down and put it into storage I got into the franchise! Believe it or not it was the 2014 movie that got me into it to begin with properly. I saw the trailer and thought it looked pretty cool and then came across the 2012 series on Nickelodeon and started watching it. That was what really hooked me :)
I came in really late, like end of Season 2, beginning of Season 3 late, but only watched one or two episodes out of order before I found a way to watch it from the beginning. Now I have Season 1 and 2 on DVD, have the 2007 movie and a comic book :) Not as die-hard a fan as some, but I have done my research so I can write accurately enough. I'm really into the 2012 and 2003 series, not that there's anything wrong with any of the other parts of the franchise, but those are my favourite. Loving Season 3 of the 2012 series at the moment :)
Transformers - Kind of a strange story on how I got into this one, but long story short is the live action films introduced me to Transformers on a whole. Although I knew of it, it took me a while before I really got into writing stories for them. I haven't got anything posted yet, as the ones ones I've written are just messing about with the characters, but I do have a serious story in progress that is taking me a long time to write. It's the longest one I've written to date so I'm taking my time to make sure that I can don't justice.
In terms of what parts of the franchise I'm into, I'd say the live action films are good, especially the first and the third one. I really enjoyed the relationship between Optimus and Sentinel Prime in the third one. The cartoons are definitely the best though. I watched Transformers Prime first and that really grabbed me. The stories were fantastic and the acting suburb. I do like the G1 cartoons too, but I think they are a bit too jokey for me, bit like with TMNT, I like the more serious and in depth stories of Prime.
Harry Potter - Well considering it was one of the best film and book franchises when I was growing up, I doubt you'd be surprised! Harry Potter is definitely up there with my favourites, probably more so than Transformers. I love the books and the films, though admittedly I haven't read the last three books properly. I'm trying the listen to the audiobooks and I have been enjoying them when I get the chance to listen to them!
This is one of the few things that all my family likes so we do watch the films together, we all went to see them in the cinema when they first came out too. Have any of you been to the Harry Potter Studio Tours? It is amazing! It's the actual studio they filmed on! I'm really wanna go to Harry Potter World in America, so hopefully at some point!
As well as things like Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, Disney just in general, NCIS amongst other things not TV related!
What Stories do I write? - I suppose the main thing I write is a Adventure, Family type stuff. I may mix in a bit of this and that, maybe the occasional love moment, but whilst I love reading other types of stories, in terms of writing it's mainly the family/comfort category that seems to get selected when I post. Oh and one thing that I've noticed that runs throughout my stories is that the main character in the story (I don't know why really) always seems to get hurt in some way, or if not hurt then it's implied... I dunno...
Lots of fluffy stuff I think it's described as is what I like to write best :)
Stories written -
Phineas and Ferb -
Deprived - One of the longest stories I've written and one I'm quite proud :) I love Perry the Platypus in the show and while I can't remember what the inspiration was for this story, I'm happy with the result.
I'm so grateful for the responses given to this story, all the reviews and favourites and follows :) Thank you all so very much :) There was a response for a sequel, but I'm afraid I do not have any ideas for punishment for the terrible two! If anyone has any ideas or would like to use the characters in a story where they showed this, then please PM me and we can talk :)
Comfort Quest - Oh this was a cute story to write :) I was in a funk with story writing and I had a few ideas written down and thought I'd explore them. I love the relationship between Perry and Doofenshmirtz, its explored in so many different ways :)
I like the bromance type of relationship and really tried to convey that in this story.
I'm not sure what the nightmare was that Doof had, but I shall leave that up to you guys to decide. All I know is that it was a really bad and traumatic dream that scared the doonkleberries out of him. And Perry's always there to give him some comfort :)
Sonic The Hedgehog -
Ying and Yang - This was a story trade with a friend on Devientart and it was originally supposed to be a one shot, but when I started writing it took me three chapters before I actually got to the part she asked for! I like to build things up and do a lot of detail in my stories and this was the first to really show that, especially in the first chapter when I wanted to describe the scenes properly and really explore the characters.
My friend asked for a scene on Space Colony Ark with Shadow, her favourite character, and because Sonic is my favourite character, and I really like the relationship between them, the end result was this story :) I saw the response for a sequel for this story too, and again I don't have anything that would be a direct sequel, but I do have another Sonic story planned that will be in the same... erm universe I guess :)
Freedom Fighters - Actually one of the first stories I wrote, hence why it's probably not the best! It was my GCSE English Story, but this is the full version, the one written before it had to be cut down. I'm quite proud of it, but I think it could be improved. Maybe I will if I get the chance :)
It's set when Sonic is younger, around about 7, and is based a bit on the comics. Anyone who reads them will know that Sleuth was a traitor and I was messing about with that idea. I think it originally came from a much larger story I was writing. It was a part of it and I thought that would be the best scene to use in my GCSE story. I should point out that the larger story was scrapped and is being rewritten!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles -
These three are all set in the same time in the 2012 series, at the beginning of Season 3 when the team is recovering at the Farmhouse. They can be read together or separately, you don't really need to read one to understand the others, but if read together there is a kind of order. Hope is first, as its when Leo first wakes up, then One of the Family, which is about a week afterwards, followed by Anytime, it's companion, and then Big Bro Time, though there's no specific time on this one, it does have Leo walking without the cane sometimes, so its a little further along in Season 3. Memories can be read either before or after Big Bro Time, but most likely after, since Leo got tired much easier in the latter.
Hope - I got the inspiration for this from a drawing on Deviantart, the link is in the story, and another story, which mine is sort of a continuation of. I really enjoyed writing for TMNT, more so than for any of the others, and I've got a few more stories coming up for them too :) As mentioned above, it's set in Season 3 and in the middle of episode 1. Leo's just woken up and his brothers are pretty much just babying him, bless him :) Anyway, in the other story they were looking up at the stars and its the same concept but with Leo included when he's awake.
Big Bro Time - Set after maybe a couple of episodes when Leo's leg is starting to heal and he can walk without the cane, but it's still bugging him and he has his off days when he does still need it. It's a simple concept of Leo spending individual time with each of his brothers and each activity is something that he does only with that brother so it makes it special 'big bro time' :)
One of the Family - Still quite early on, and this is a brotherly moment between Leo and Casey. Leo's not able to train with his brothers yet, partly because of his leg and partly because last time he tried to join in and got hurt so now he's banned for a bit! So Casey gives him a bit of an escape by helping him to work on the truck in the barn. It's not much, but it gives the two a bit of bonding time, since they don't seem to hang out an awful lot. They learn a bit about each other and Casey helps to cheer Leo up, as he's still on a guilt trip, and Leo proves that Casey really is one of the family :)
Anytime - This is a sort of continuation of One of the Family but instead focusing on the sisterly/brotherly relationship between April and Leo. After all of the discussions about family, Leo's had enough of being strong and seeks solace in the red headed teen, who has pushed him to try and open up in the first place. Again it's just a short fluffy one-shot with some cute moments between the two as April comforts the leader in blue.
Sleep Well Bro - This is outside of the sort of mini-series I've got going on right now and it's set in Season 2. It's a basic premise of Leo overworking himself to the point of exhaustion and his brothers have decided to spring a surprise to help him relax and just go to sleep really. We all know how stubborn he is so asking is not really going to work! :)
Memories - I really enjoyed writing this one :) It's about the brothers having a family night after Leo discovers that Mikey has the family album, and the two of them decide that this is a great way to distract everyone from what's going on and just focus on the good times that they have had, both with their father and with each other. The original idea is from MikeyBeeLover, who has done a version of the story too, so check that out too :)
Akumu - A request from a friend, Akumu (Which is Japanese for nightmare!) is, as the name might imply, a story about Leo having nightmares and hallucinations directly after the Fungus Humungous incident. The story focuses on the idea that Leo was sprayed with the toxins multiple times and as such they are still affecting his body and mind, with his family trying to help him get through them :)
So Long Apart - The next installment of my mini-series, this time after the team have come back from New York. Leo has noticed Splinter acting kind of strange around him and wants to find out what is wrong. The two have a father-son chat which is really sweet and very overdue :)
Stories to come -
If anyone has any ideas that they would like me to write or look at, I would be more than happy to take a look :) Just PM me :D
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles -
I've got a few short stories planned for TMNT, the majority of which are either direct requests or have been inspired by a comment that one of you guys have said to me when talking about my other stories. This is why I love reviews and favourites, because it can lead to conversations and even more story ideas :)
Most of them will be a part of the same timeline as the others, all set in Season 3 and I may try and include some references to the others :) Just a few one-shots, or maybe a couple of longer ones, involving Leo and his family responding to his injury and learning to cope at the Farmhouse. I've made quite a dent in this series now, but there are still a fair few to come!
I also have one story that would probably be quite long that I'm not sure about writing. I have all the ideas written down so if I do decide to write it properly then I will do :)
Okay now I know I haven't got any stories posted for these guys, as I mentioned above I'm working on a long story for Transformers that is taking me a long time to write, since I won't post it until I've finished it. It's getting there, but time is not my ally at the moment, so its slow going. That and I'm trying to write other stories too :) If I had absolutely nothing else to do but write stories I might be able to get all of them done, but life is not that kind! ;)
It's about Optimus Prime when he's a Sparking/Youngling, so technically he's Orion Pax. I've seen it done a couple of times and I like the idea of Ratchet or Ironhide being like a parent to him, so in this story they are his guardians. Though not straight away. It's sort of like an adoption story, but there's a bit more action in it than paperwork!
Harry Potter -
Couple of stories for this franchise, both set in the Marauders era, as I'm writing mainly for Sirius and the other Marauders.
I do have another story that I would like to write, but I don't know if I'll get around to doing it. The ideas are all written down though, so if I do feel like writing it properly then I will :)
Sonic The Hedgehog -
Haha, this story has been in progress for like, years! I started a long story, then started rewriting it, then scrapped it completely to start again and then began rewriting again... yeah I think that's about right.
Ty the Tasmanian Tiger -
I haven't any stories posted for this franchise either, but I do have one in planning. I've got a rather detailed plan for this story, much more detailed than I have done in most of my other stories, but again I need time to write it. At the moment I seem to be focusing on the smaller one shots, but again I'll get round to doing this.
Phineas and Ferb -
There's another one shot I've got planned for Perry, as well as maybe a couple of longer stories that I might write if I can figure out what I want to do with it.
Ducktales/ Uncle Scrooge / House of Mouse
I love Ducktales and the Uncle Scrooge comics, and since reading the Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck I am in love with all the series that include the Richest Duck in the World :)
Favourite Characters - (Not necessarily in that order)
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sly the Tasmanian Tiger
Perry the Platypus
