There are two things I've been for as long as I can remember: a writer, and a completely obsessed Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan. Though I followed BTVS through the entire series and have watched the series countless times since, I didn't even know that fanfiction existed until about six months ago. When I found this entire world of Buffy stories, I was immediately hooked.

I proceeded to read dozens of fabulous BTVS stories by a whole host of talented writers, but I still didn't really consider writing a fanfic myself. I've always been focused on writing original fiction, but then...in the middle of hammering out my original work-in-progress, an idea for a Buffy fanfic came to me, and I just couldn't shake it. It seemed like I couldn't focus on anything else until I sat down and wrote it. So I did. And now...it seems I'm hooked on writing fanfiction, too.

I got involved with fanfiction purely because of Buffy the Vampire Slayer--no other television show (or book, or movie) has even come close to impacting my life the way BTVS has, and I can say with full confidence that I won't be writing any other kind of fanfiction. I'm also really attached to the Buffy/Spike pairing, so my writing will probably always focus on their connection.

I would like to say a little thank you to the amazing authors whose BTVS stories completely drew me in (you know who you are, because I always try my best to review), and I'd also like to thank the insightful readers who have been kind enough to follow and review my very first fanfic, Ahead of Her Time. I'm so appreciative of all of you who have given me the confidence to try out this new (for me, at least) genre.

Update 2/18/15: I'm a total liar. After swearing up and down that I'd never write any fanfic that wasn't BTVS, I went and wrote a little Dollhouse story. If you're a Dollhouse fan, check it out!
