Author has written 13 stories for Sonic the Hedgehog, Ratchet and Clank, Danny Phantom, Sly Cooper, Code Lyoko, and Inheritance Cycle.
Poetry is a whimsical art. It cannot be thought out and planned. When the inspiration comes, flow with it.
Hi there, everyone! Foenix Nightshade here! I am an eighteen year old writer, fan, poet, and artist. I primarily work with Ratchet & Clank, but sometimes I may reach into other fandoms - if I'm lucky, it won't even be a crossover!
Current concept/story concept ideas: Ratchet crash landing on earth in the DC universe (Young Justice)
I love reviews, comments, and PMs. I like to know what people think about my stories and ideas.
I first started writing when I was in 8th grade. I was inspired, I suppose, by my science teacher, who had written - though not published - many books. I have regained contact with her; she is currently working on trying to get a newer book published.
I wrote a story some years ago. Previously mentioned science teacher helped me on it, but I never actually finished it. It’s got a folder all its own on my flash drive, and I pick it up every now and then.

Posted Works in Progress:
Chronicles of Internet Earth (A Ratchet & Clank/Code Lyoko Crossover)
Ratchet and Clank go to the planet known to its inhabitants as "Earth" to solve the mystery and problem of the sudden string of paradoxes coming from the planet. Things don't exactly go so well when they realize there's more to it than they realized. A vicious AI, a handful of nosy teens, and a computer that just might come close to half of IRIS's potential make for a complicated mixture of adventure and danger.
On the drawing board; being rewritten
Just a Thief?
Galactic hero Ratchet encounters a street kid in this tale pulled from the Arabian Nights.
On the drawing board; being rewritten
I Won't Return
"GALACTIC HEROES ARRESTED!!" is a main headline all over the universe. Ratchet and Clank are prosecuted for crimes they didn't even commit. Ratchet is sent off to Zordoom Prison, and Clank? No one really knows where he ended up. Most think he probably ended up in a scrap heap.
After what seems almost an eternity, Zordoom is attacked, leaving Ratchet with no memory of civilized behavior, much less any of his life before. The Intergalactic Council tries to figure out what to do about the new development, but they can't seem to find a solution. That is, until they are approached by a surprising ally.
Slated for removal; decided as a deviantART exclusive.
Disappear (A Ratchet & Clank/Inheritance Cycle Crossover)
Ratchet left the Tri-Galaxies in search of Sasha Phyronix, an old friend of his from the Solana Galaxy. After he left, something happened, something...unexplainable. What is to come when Ratchet returns to what he once called home?
On the drawing board; being rewritten
Slated for termination:
Conquest of Worlds
The Alpha Project
These stories are all collaborations with an old friend of mine and will be removed from the Fanfiction Archives. All of these are discontinued unless something changes my mind.
Ideas for stories and series – all titles still pending:
Chronicles of Internet Nexus (A Ratchet & Clank/Code Lyoko Crossover)
SPOILER ALERT - Sequel concept for Chronicles of Internet Earth
After Ratchet and Clank return home, things seem relatively normal. That is, until they realize that X.A.N.A. infected Aphelion and compromised the Intergalactic Network.
It Runs in the Family - Cause (R&C)
One may wonder how Ratchet was practically born to be a hero. Then again, one could also say, "It runs in the family."
How about we go back to the beginning?
I started drawing a little after noon on a Friday and came up with a picture of Kaden after he's been trying to convince Alister to not trust Tachyon. Obviously, he's upset about the whole thing.
Eh, that's tell-tale enough, I suppose.
It Runs in the Family - Fragments (R&C)
A different take on Ratchet and Clank.
The only known Lombax in the Solana Galaxy, trapped in a scientific facility. A small robot, a "glitch" from the original system, with no apparent purpose. On an escape attempt, they run into each other. Years later, the past is forgotten. But for how long?
It Runs in the Family - Effect (R&C)
The main story of the series. Alternatively titled "Descent into Madness" or "Headphone Actors."
I Won't Return Pt. 2 (R&C)
A continuation of the story "I Won't Return." Will be summarized at a later date: NO SPOILERS!!
Untitled - AU (R&C)
Ratchet is a wanderer, a vagabond, taking on odd jobs from repairs to mercenary work to keep him fed and in the air.
Clank is the caretaker of the Great Clock, having taken Orvus's place in his Zoni father's absence.
Two beings that have never met, yet their fates entwine very suddenly.
Blind (R&C - One-shot)
He stumbles around in darkness, an odd ring in his ears, until he falls. He trembles, hugging himself tightly as he lets his weapon fall from his grasp. He struggles to keep himself steady, ignoring the sensation of a thick, hot liquid running down his arms and on his face. Disembodied echoes take form around him. Some screaming, some crying. Only one voice was calm and steady, even in its concern. He calls out to answer, his voice barely coming as a whisper as he asks for his friend. "Clank...?"
Ratchet Nebula: Time Traveler (A multi-crossover series)
An accident at the Great Clock sent Ratchet spiraling through space and time. Now he’s wandering through history, trying to find his way home.
This series is being postponed until further notice.
The Glass Prison (Ratchet & Clank)
Waking with no memory in a labyrinth with mirror walls, a golden Lombax meets a princess and tries to find out what happened to him. Sinister forces are at work, though. Can he save the planet and find out who he is in time?
Soul-Stealer (Ratchet & Clank - OC-Centric)
Concept originally by CarrotUndAShtick. Plot pending.
A Pirate's Life for Me (OC-Centric; set in Ratchet & Clank universe)
Zahra has grown up among the seas and stars. 'Twas a pirate's life she enjoyed, no matter that she was taunted and cursed. She loved the oceans and the twinkling stars. Life was good...but good doesn't exactly last forever.
Part One of Zahra’s saga.
Still Standing Strong, Still Hanging On (OC-Centric; set in Ratchet & Clank universe)
The galactic authorities receive an urgent distress signal from somewhere in Polaris. Strange thing is: the signal is moving. Ratchet is sent to investigate, but pirates always seem to get in his way.
Part Two of Zahra’s saga.
The Fire in Her Eyes (OC-Centric; set in Treasure Planet universe)
Jim Hawkins meets an odd alien from a far off star system. She's not very friendly, and seems to be scared of something, always watching the sky with wary eyes.
Short story/Prologue to “Still Standing Strong, Still Hanging On”
Which Side Are You On? (A Ratchet & Clank/Guardians of the Galaxy Crossover)
Peter Quill and his misfit crew are called in by a new ambassador who is asking for their help. Someone is out to kill him. But these "assassins" see it in a different way.
Untitled (A Ratchet & Clank/Star Trek Crossover)
"Come now, is that any way to greet an old friend?"
"Friend? You tried to kill me!"
Polaris High - AU (A Ratchet & Clank/Sonic the Hedgehog Crossover)
Sonic the Hedgehog finds his curiosity piqued by a moody teen with obvious issues.
Can't Take Me (A Ratchet & Clank/Sonic the Hedgehog Crossover)
Two villains decide to take a different approach to galactic domination. The plan is easy: switch galaxies, earn the trust of those who reside there, and make outlaws of the heroes that plague them.
The World Within My Memory - AU (Ratchet & Clank)
Ryan Martin seems a bit confused as to which world is real - the one where he is a galactic hero and the one where he lives in a hospital on the brink of death.
Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction - The True Story
In this rewrite of the Tools of Destruction plot line, we meet one of Emperor Tachyon's commanders, a young Lombax boy named Chase who is convinced that Ratchet is evil.
First One to the Bait - AU (A Ratchet & Clank/Transformers Crossover)
"Ratchet" Martin is jokingly called "the terminator" by his friends and classmates for the accident-fractured bones that have been replaced with metal. Some weird stuff starts happening after the freak accident that nearly killed him and his step father. His mother seems nervous, hiding secrets that Ratchet is desperate to know.
"My life was boring and pretty much normal. That is until it decided to turn into some stupid, cliché, B-rated movie scenario. You know, like those ones my step-father likes. Let me lay out a few facts for you that really shouldn't be facts in the first place:
1) I am not totally human, and this is not just a cause of the surgical implants that just happened to be Transformium instead of the standard metal.
2) My sire turned out to be the greatest hero/most-wanted fugitive in the literal universe.
3) Apparently, I have something the Decepticons want. They’ll stop at nothing to get it.
So, yeah. Total cliché b-rated movie. Ain’t it just peachy?"
How to Train Your Dragonheir (HTTYD - OC-Centric)
Dagur the Deranged finds a girl trapped in the ice near Outcast Island. She seems to have some way with dragons.

A strange boy and one of Pitch's nightmares appear all of a sudden in the North Pole.
Angels and Demons (Maximum Ride - OC-Centric)
The Flock and the CSM get help from a very young science and technology expert. She's a strange one. And she's most definitely hiding something.
Almost Forgotten (TMNT - OC-Centric)
An abrupt visitor brings some old, nearly forgotten memories back to the surface. Master Splinter is surprised to see an old student who once abandoned his teachings for unknown reasons.
Reversal (A Code Lyoko/Sonic the Hedgehog Crossover)
You’ve all been told, by SXR123, the story of how Sonic and a few of his friends ended up in the world of Code Lyoko. But what if it was the other way around? What would happen if Jeremy, Odd, Ulrich, Yumi, and Aelita were all sent to Mobius?
In a strange twist of events, the return trip to the past has had a different effect than it usually does. Most of the time, they all just go back in time, to before X.A.N.A. attacked. Not this time...
At the same moment that Jeremy launches a return trip, something in another dimension occurs, sending the six friends into that strange place. And it’s no walk in the park. No one has his or her weapons from Lyoko. The only thing they do have are their wits, their skills, and Jeremie's laptop.
Polaroid (Avengers - OC-Centric)
A team of individuals with shocking powers gains the attention of S.H.I.E.L.D., especially when they claim to be "from the future."
Gems of Darkness, Jewels of Light (Spyro)
A handful of dragons with empty pasts and unknown origins come together without the knowledge of their mentors. They along with Spyro must save the world from the dark forces at work.
Let's Make History Together: I Am Danny Phantom
An AU in which the name "Phantom" is a historical constant. Each generation is presented with a ghost-human hybrid who will take the name Phantom, making it seem as if "Phantom" is an immortal. Circumstances in which a generation's Phantom is born of created vary greatly from one to another.
"Dude, what is that?"
"Just a scar..."
"It's from that accident, isn't it? The one in the lab."
"I did some research at the library...I think you might want to hear this..."
Kaoru disappeared two years ago when the last year of school ended. Hikaru is still haunted by those old ghosts, having been the most affected by Kaoru's absence. On the "anniversary" of his disappearance, Kaoru suddenly appears once again, but his state is less than favorable. He looks like he's been through hell and back.
Ratchet & Clank Future: The Assassin
Adopted from LadyLombax (Still waiting on the outline)
Ratchet forges on in his search for Clank. Things are amiss, though. The Zoni aren't too happy about his determination, and they'll stop at nothing to keep their Caretaker.
Adopted from DemonCry
Metahumans have been gathered in an underground arena, forced to fight to survive for the entertainment of millions and to achieve a mockery of "freedom." With only a middle school student ID card to give him some sort of idea of his identity, one new trainee with the ability to manipulate electricity and a nasty case of amnesia must fight to survive this death race and attempt to carve a path to his own meaning of freedom.
Keera Arikel - Lombax
Here lies Keera Arikel, the first Lombax OC ever created by Foenix Nightshade
May she rest in this grave forevermore
Died protecting her home planet from being invaded
Nobody got anywhere in that stand
May these creatures never see the light of day
Redwall - Isle of the Empress
Too much like "Martin the Warrior", so I've set it aside here.
Self inserts... Yeah...'nuff said.
Welcome to Earth
The planet is far from welcoming to Ratchet and Mariah. Their son has a better experience.
Sonic the Hedgehog: Curse of the Immortal
Wolf Child (OC-centric)
I grew up in the Forest with my mother, father, two brothers, and one sister. My name is Ani'ta, and I am a Wolf.
Lost My Mind
Clank had to make a hard decision. He thought he could avoid it, but he was wrong. He didn’t know it would happen so soon, if at all! He didn’t want to believe it, that his friend had lost it. But then Ratchet changed all of a sudden...
Lost Little Lombax
Basically a set of short stories all based before the first game with no connection chronologically. Or at all really. Listened a little too much of "The Saga Begins" and therefore, this.
Ratchet receives a strange call from a blocked number. The purpose is a request: to retrieve an item taken from the person. This so-called "item" is far from what he expected.
This version is being set aside. Due to developments, the plot has changed significantly.
Untitled (Crossover: Thundercats 2011/Ratchet & Clank)
A peaceful mission to speak with the ruler of New Thundera turns awry.
They don't seem like cats, not entirely. Who would leave two children - no older than ten - out on their own?
Deleted due to an OC I no longer use.
Fiona was raised away from the Tri-Galaxies on a planet inhabited by elves. Though adopted by the Royal Family, she treated everyone equally, like they all were her family. Her world shatters at the death of her older brother, the Prince.
Years later, a..."tourist" crashes on the planet. Perhaps he could help to heal her wounds?
"The proper name's Kier-li, thank you very much!"
Kier-li is a friend to Ratchet and Clank already, but he's not seen for a good portion of the story, due to her crashing and losing all of her memory. She even forgets her robot eagle companion! (Weird enough, he thinks he's a parrot just cause he can talk.) The Planet Canor seems a nice place, not too trusting, but full of gentle creatures who would only resort to violence when necessary.
Master the Deranged (One-shot)
They didn't like their Master. He was cruel and evil. A vile, rabid beast.
Thirteen Children of Dashi
Charged with keeping the Lost Ones, the thirteen "immortal" children of Master Dashi protect their Shen Gong Wu well from all who try to take it.
MLP:FIM - Broken Magic: The Returning
Set after Equestria Girls. Twilight is still trying to get a handle on her wings. Curious of the Restricted section in the Canterlot Castle Library, Twilight investigates, dragging her faithful dragon companion along. She falls into a hidden chamber beneath the castle. Within that chamber, her destiny takes a very unexpected turn for the worse.
MLP:FIM - Broken Magic: The Reign
MLP:FIM - Broken Magic: The Fall or Return of Magic
Remedial Avatar (OC-Centric)
No wonder all of this stuff is in the graveyard...wow.
Chase Nebula (or Darkstar, depending on the story)
Lombax; Ratchet's twin brother; previously worked for Tachyon
Cazar; childhood friend to Ratchet
Zahrani M. Adonis
Lombax; Captain of the Darktmor
Young Lombax Ratchet saved on a desert planet
Nocturne; friend/sister-figure to Rishi
Tailor; runs the shop Needles and Thread on Kerwan
Aulin's assistant and guard; wards strangers away from the shop; altogether unpleasant
Of course, this is far from everyone.
I'll probably do more editing later. Right now? I'm tired as heck.
