Music: My favorite band of all is by far Linkin Park. They tend to change their sound with every album they release, but I've yet to dislike any of their songs (except No More Sorrow and Burn It Down), which I feel showcases the extents of their musical talent. I also like Blue Stahli and Icon for Hire, although their sound bores me occasionally. Supercell is also a very personal favorite of mine (My Dearest, woop!) ever since I watched Guilty Crown. Not to mention that their sophomore effort (Zigaexperienta) was actually better than their first album, something you rarely find in music. Some more artists which interest me off the top of my head are Eminem, Shaka Ponk, she, and Hurts.
I live in the States. Writing has always been my favorite hobby, and it remains so, thanks to Fanfiction.net. It's an awesome outlet for my over-the-top imagination and tendency to take things to the extreme. People tell me it's an endearing trait, but I've only really seen it as a sort of flaw that I have (although it give some life to my otherwise deadpan-full stories). I am allergic to pineapples and am absolutely in love with strawberries. I hate math, favor English, enjoy History, am intrigued by Science and absolutely despise Foreign Language. I have poor eyesight, girls like to tease me and I accidentally killed a Shiny Rayquaza when I was in fifth grade, which led to a rather unorthodox method of relieving my frustration which involved several hours of Tetris. My favorite color is green, I'm straight, and I hate idiots. My name is Shrrg. It is a pleasure to meet you.

Favorite Anime/What I Look For In Anime
It's hard to really define what anime is. It's such a vast reaching medium, covering topics from cowboys to interstellar space to homosexuals to time travel. There is no single sentence, or synonym, that can genuinely, totally encompass it as a whole. Which is why I don't really have a set list of my "favorite anime." After all, how do you compare Anohana to Fate/Zero? Both are incredible shows which were amazingly created, but they cannot be judged based on the same criteria. Nevertheless, there is still the obvious separation between a good show and a bad one, and the following are ones I enjoyed particularly in the order in which I watched them (as of February 2014).
Angel Beats! / Toradora / Nichijou / Lucky Star / Oreimo (Season 2) / Clannad / The Monogatari Series /
Mirai Nikki / The Pet Girl of Sakura Hall / The World God Only Knows / Anohana / Kokoro Connect /
Black Rock Shooter / Hyouka / Steins;Gate / Yuru Yuri / Hanasaku Iroha / Puella Magi Madoka Magica/
Durarara! / Fate/Zero / Heaven's Memo Pad / Usagi Drop / Arpeggio of Blue Steel / Humanity is in Decline/
Sound of the Sky / GJ Club / Waiting in the Summer
Pretty good spread of genre in my opinion, although I seem to hold a prejudice against anything released before 2007. Most of these shows (excluding Angel Beats, BRS, Arpeggio of Blue Steel, and GJ Club) contain at least a couple character who were either strong or entertaining to me. Anything executed with realistic context in mind driven by likable/relatable characters is good cake for me.
