Do you feel you need a change in your average fanfiction?

Not any kind of emotional change, personality change, morality change, or even content change…but physical change?

My fanfiction.net contributions, be they a handful or otherwise, will more often than not involve the occurrence of a physical transformation. Whatever suits the fabric of the story or makes things more interesting or even more intriguing, and hopefully without intruding too much upon the context of the stories I tell, for I am as intrigued with transformations as the wicked witch of the northern Gillikin Country of Oz, Mombi, tends to be.

It is the one thing that sends the irrefutable fact home. You are facing magical beings with power over your very human frame, and they’re ready to flaunt it in however dramatic a fashion as they desire. Sometimes, the human will find a way to break the enchantment. Perhaps, too, the enchanted human will find it impossible to break whatever has happened to him or her, but they’ll find a way to cope with the occurrence, and perhaps find happiness.

Anyone who finds these occurrences distracting or unwelcome need not sample my prose. One golden rule of any writer that needs to be accepted is that you can’t please everyone. My work is of course intended for those who are at least tolerant of…if not hungry for…my interest in transformation occurrences, however big or little in scope.

My stories may not always deal with these occurrences, though. Any fanfiction tales I write that are set in worlds that have the capacity for magic and sorcery(such as Labyrinth and the Oz Series) will almost always contain such things. Fictions in worlds where no such things exist(such as the militant Command & Conquer fictions) will not have any such occurrences.
