Current story: Happy Accidents, an answer to the Tumbler 30 Day OTP Challenge featuring Molly and Mycroft. Written on a lark just to see if I could. Non-MollCroft shippers, feel free to skip this one. :)
I will not pursue legal action in the instance that my plot/original character(s) or something resembling my plot/original character(s) appears on the media outlet I am writing fanfiction for.
In fact, I'd sooner destroy a stained glass window than sue the creators of my beloved fandoms. But on the virtually non-existent chance that they're inspired by me, I'd like them to tell me so. It would put a smile on my face for at least the next ten years. :)
And yes, technically one should not end sentences with a preposition. "This is arrant pedantry up with which I will not put." - Winston Churchill
My theory on Reichenbach is that Mycroft and Sherlock had it planned from the beginning, but I have way too much fun writing stories where Mycroft thinks Sherlock is dead at first.
For longer stories, I get the story completely written before I start posting it. This way, you don't have to wait too long between updates and I can fix any continuity errors I make before anyone sees them. :) [Mycroft Holmes Loves is an exception - I'm taking prompts, so let me know if you have an idea!]
I write a lot of angsty stories and I like to listen to angsty music to get me in the proper frame of mind. Writing playlist includes:
"Ships in the Night" by Mat Kearney
"It Is What It Is" by Lifehouse
"Hurt" by Johnny Cash
"Love Remains the Same" by Gavin Rossdale
"Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd
"Collide" by Howie Day
"Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own" by U2
