Author has written 2 stories for How to Train Your Dragon.
Really, I am just a twenty-something-year-old who likes to write in her spare time. As I have grown older and responsibilities with work and college have all but taken over my life, escaping into the world of fanfiction/writing every once and a while helps me to wind down and increase my creativity.
If you purely enjoy fanfiction, I have written two stories, both for How to Train Your Dragon.
- This Time For Sure is a short, fun one-shot set in modern times in which Astrid Hofferson contemplates approaching a cute guy who sits in front of her in her Norse Mythology class, aka Hiccup Haddock.
- Drengskapr is a more in-depth story that explores the damaging effect that the Flightmare (as told in Fright of Passage from Defenders of Berk) could have had on the Hofferson clan's reputation. Although it is set when our favorite characters have past puberty (eighteen/nineteen/Race to the Edge ages) the AU will follow the first movie plot line...with the slight deviations here and there (or major...yaknow, surprises).

I love mythology, fantasy, and the supernatural. Back in 2012 (yes, that was a while ago) I began the huge endeavor of writing a fantasy series. Since then my story has gone through at least two major overhauls but four years later, I am finally nearing the competition of the first book in the series currently titled: Ariadne Caldwell and the Mirror of Aspectus, which can be read as a stand alone or continued into a series. I don't know if I will ever self-publish it, but I am posting it onto Fictionpress to get some feedback on my personal writing. This original series is set in a world where humans are not alone, there are other races of beings -- supernatural beings -- who live in hiding. Ariadne Caldwell is one of them. She keeps her true identity a secret and tries to maintain a normal "human" life. But, things have been set into motion that are bigger than her. She finds that she cannot run from her past, or her parent's past, forever.
The official summary is as follows: "The sighting of an ominous figure in the woods and the sudden return of her estranged brother sets a series of strange events in motion. Ariadne Caldwell is unexpectedly thrust into an enigmatic world that has been hidden from her all her life, challenging her to overcome her fear of the supernatural and rethink everything she thought she knew about herself."
I welcome constructive criticism, anything to make my stories better!
