Christine is plagued by uncertainties. Fearing that they will taint her imminent marriage, she makes a last desperate effort to put them to rest. But, well-intentioned though she is, the eve of her wedding takes a very unexpected turn. This is an LND fix-it / fill-in fic written by someone in love with Phantom of the Opera and frustrated by Love Never Dies.

He would explore every inch of her, if given the chance. And she would do the same to him, map him and imprint him on her memory, if he were not so very afraid of what she might think of him.

Modern. With her father ill and her husband severely injured in a car accident, Christine desperately turns to a darker source for hope. Once she begins to discover a new side to herself, there is no turning back. And, by the time she quits lying to herself, an inevitably tragic choice awaits her. Rewritten and completed as of December 2013.

Erik is the master assassin and genius architect for the Shah of Persia. He has everything he could want, money, fame, power…everything but the one thing he knows he can never have. Love. Erik's world is quickly turned upside down when, out of gratitude for his service, the Shah presents him with a gift… and that gift comes with a name. Christine Daae!

Erik begins his life anew in Paris after many years of trial and struggle, swearing to never again submit to a man's fickle emotions. Perhaps Christine Daae can change his mind . . .

Meg fires the gun, but the bullet doesn't hit Christine – and so everything changes. Widowed, left with her son and the man she has always loved, Christine finally has a chance of finding happiness. ETA: changed category from LND to PotO

Erik lies on his death bed, clinging to the hope that Christine will fulfill a promise to return for a last goodbye before her wedding. When Raoul refuses to honor his word, Christine goes against his wishes and confirms all of his worst fears. Fills in Kay's "Missing Chapters".

Believing Erik to be dead, Christine marries Raoul, hoping to finally have her happy ending. But what happens when Erik returns to claim her once again as his?

Fleeing France from a sinister threat, Christine and her son find themselves aboard a ship headed for America. The enigmatic Captain has agreed to take on the duo as his passengers for the journey. COMPLETE

*COMPLETE* A unexpected reunion jolts Christine and Erik. Fluffy but fun! This story began as PG13 but rapidly escalated into an R rating. It is not possible to accurately portray such a passionate character as Erik in muted terms.

In Susan Kay's novel "Phantom" Erik tells Christine the story of the Rose who loved a Nightingale. Kay tells us that Christine went to bed after the story. I'd like to believe something else may have happened, which would have changed the whole story.
