Author has written 7 stories for Naruto, Doctor Who, and Supernatural.
My name is Emily, thanks for visiting my profile.
I've read fanfiction for a long time but I got an account because I had a fanfic that was rotting away on my computer. I've been updating slowly on that and have written other shorter fanfics in my spare time, as well as some other new works in progress, so feel free to check them all out!
I love to write and am obsessed with about a dozen different shows, including a variety of anime. A list of my favorite anime shows, in case you're new to anime and are looking for some recommendations:
Fullmetal Alchemist (specifically the Brotherhood version) - JUST WATCH IT. The world is complex but believable, the storyline builds into an amazing conclusion that will stick with you for ages, and every single one of the characters are fantastic. This show is simply a masterpiece and if you haven't seen it you are truly missing out.
Attack on Titan - This just came out recently but it took the anime world by storm, so you've probably heard of it. The animation is what really sets it apart, especially during the fight scenes, but there are also some really great characters in it (though don't get too attached to any of them, I'm warning you). It's hard to watch at times (like most of the time) but you get hooked quick.
Clannad - Again, if you have not seen this yet, you should really watch it. Unless you are made of stone, it WILL make you cry, but probably not until the second season. It's really cute but almost haunting in the way it's done.
Naruto (mostly Shippuden) - There are a lot people who don't like this show and prefer Bleach, or whatever, and I guess I understand why, but I will always be a Naruto fan (even if the ending was crap).
Soul Eater - A little more lighthearted, a super cool concept and a really great storyline.
Black Butler - Don't be fooled, this takes an incredibly dark turn about halfway through. I would also highly recommend reading the manga.
Death Note - More of a psychological anime. Not a lot of action but you'll still be rapt while you're watching it just from listening to the characters speak.
11Eyes - More obscure, but really good. Creepy and hella confusing at times, with a cool setup and great characters.
Other things I think you should watch:
Doctor Who - A lot of people know at least something about this, since it's been going on for 50 years now. It's funny and heart-wrenching at the same time and you'll fall in love with everyone in it before you know what hit you. And in case you're wondering, my favorite Doctor is Ten, my favorite companion is Rose, and my favorite season is probably four. Torchwood, its spinoff, is also good, though I haven't finished it yet.
Sherlock - Definitely one of the better shows I've seen, in terms of plot and writing and cinematography. It definitely has its issues but at its core it's really pretty amazing. Yes, I do ship Johnlock...sort of.
Supernatural - Very painful, in a lot of ways. But extremely worth it, too. If you don't mind a little blood and gore, this is a really gripping show and it's very powerful too, with some truly amazing characters and a story that will leave you hanging a thousand times before it explains what it's all meant. I'd recommend watching up until the end of season five.
Orange is the New Black - OITNB is renowned for its representation of female characters, the LGBT community, and women of color, and it really does it well. The characters are amazing, the writing is fantastic, and the show is funny but also very powerful at times.
Shameless (the US version, not the UK one) - This show is not for the faint of heart. Seriously. It really lives up to its name, holding nothing back, showing all the gory details. It captures your attention right away and leaves you staring wide-eyed at the screen as it throws bombshells at you without leaving room for breath. Lots of really interesting characters, and a storyline that will take six turns downwards before resolving itself with a happy ending.
Please take a look at my stories and tell me if they're any good, I would really appreciate it! I write original fiction as well, which you can find on Wattpad or Figment.
Also, check out my youtube channel if you're a fan of any of the shows listed, because I make AMV's and other music videos and also trailers, and you should watch them. http://www.youtube.com/user/heroproject44?feature=results_main
