Hey everyone, it's Katie Madison here, back from the grave!
hides from onslaught of pitchforks, rotten tomatoes, angry reviews*
As of late, I just haven't been on ff.net very much - all I've been doing is catching up on shows/anime/movies to get caught up with canon because I was so woefully behind and I've started reading fanfic again which is a pretty good sign of me writing again!
Oh Naruto, my beloved blonde beau, how I've missed you so? Lol.
I also have no idea what I ship anymore or claim my OTP to be. It is a sad state of affairs indeed. I think I should probably re-read my own fics to even remember what the hell's going on.
This profile update doesn't sound very promising, eh? But I promise I will be updating soon, and maybe dabbling into fandoms?
I don't know? Sherlock seems to have blown up overnight! I can't decide whether or not I like Elementary more! On one hand, I really dislike the fat shaming in the show. Like seriously? Get it together guys, especially if the whole point of your show is 'nice Sherlock' - if not, I'd just watch the BBC one where the cinematography and plot is tighter but the cast is LITERALLY all white dudes with maybe 4 feelings between them.
Ah whatever, it's 1:25 am here guys I'm going to bed.
UPDATE: I see a lot of 'ANTI-ABORTION' poems floating around on author/user profiles these days and I'm a little surprised. I hope everyone realizes that 99% of abortions are performed before the 8th week where the embryo (because it's not actually a fetus or a child, obviously) cannot actually feel consciousness, pain or anything at all? Additionally, it's not as though abortions are a very easy decision for pregnant women to make. Like damn, they might be going through mental/physical/financial issues or have gotten pregnant from a rape or assault and we're really going to shame them for aborting this literal clump of cells? I don't know man - In a world where women only received the rights to vote some fifty odd years ago, this seems more than a little misogynistic to me.
It's her body, the constitution in the Free World says she's allowed to do with it as she will and it's infringing on bodily autonomy legislation to say otherwise. Nervelesss-embryo or not. That's why you have to sign a consent card to have your organs put on a 'Donor List' after you pass away - it's just the human respect we give to each other. Even if it would save someone's life, or facilitate the development of another's - you can't just make decision for any body but your own. So yeah, I am pro-choice.
